I'm so glad she did as it was the perfect amount of food and really nice options. I had the "highlander potato pancake" which was a stone baked potato pancake that came with garlic butter or local sheep's milk cheese as accompaniments. I preferred the cheese and while these weren't the traditional sort of potato pancakes I grew up eating from my grandmother, they were quite good. I also got a hot ginger beer. It's not the soda we have in the States - it's actually a beer with ginger, lemon, cinnamon, and clove. Since it's beer based, it's a little out of my comfort zone. I would normally like something like this if it were non-alcoholic and sweeter but it grew on me as I drank it. The pork chop was really good - very basic, comfort meal.
