I visited this doctor 4-5 times in 2014. On two occassions I had to cancel the visit on a very short notice due to unexpected events (sickness and business meeting). In both cases I called the doctor 1-2 hours in advance of the appointment.
When I called to make a new appointment, the assistant told me that the doctor does not want to work with me anymore, because I cancelled two last visits in a short notice. There was no further discussion possible with the doctor.
Since I was in a middle of the treatment (the doctor did all checks, pictures, we made a plan how to cure my teeth further), I did not want to change and start treatment with a new doctor. I decided to write an email in German to explain the whole situation and ask for another appointment. I expressed my understanding that the cancellations could have impacted the schedule and the costs and I offered to cover the costs for the missed visits. Unfortunately, I never received any response.
I don't understand such an approach to a customer. It can always happen that the patient will cancel the visit because of other, urgent reasons. I apologized for cancellations and offered to cover the costs. Even though, I was totally ignored by the doctor. I am wondering if the doctor has the same approach for all of his patients? I took this rejection personally.
My teeth were cured very fast and professionally. Nevertheless, I do not recommend this doctor for a long-term treatment, because he is not customer oriented and can reject further treatment of the patient without a good reason. read more
