La sala de los shows es grande y cómoda; las veces que vi bandas ahi sonó siempre bien y siempre estuvimos bien atendidos. La parte que es restaurant está un poco mas abajo del promedio, pero el énfasis de la propuesta esta en los shows y la música. It's the perfect size for an intimate concert, I saw the National here and it was amazing! Upstairs you can sit and still see the stage and usually everyone ends up downstairs at some point anyways. Downstairs is great for dancing and being up close to the stage. You can eat and drink beforehand during and after. Great!

I had wanted to visit La Usina since I first heard of the place, but the location was always the…read moremain deterrent. I enjoy mostly visiting such beautiful buildings at night and the idea of walking around this area at night wasn't really inspiring. I finally visited La Usina on a Sunday afternoon with a friend, and it looks really beautiful... But it's a bit underwhelming. We lined up for a photography exposition for a while, and the place was so crowded it really was difficult to appreciate the captions. Of course this was on a Sunday afternoon, so it was to be expected. I got the impression that the Usina, even when it's huge, doesn't really have a lot of stuff going on at all times (as it happens with the CCK). There was live music, which was nice, but just standing room to enjoy it. Luckily the band stopped playing right before it started drizzling. It's a really beautiful building, but the surrounding areas didn't make me feel safe enough to want to visit by myself. La Usina also didn't have any other fixed installations apart from wall art. I expected more. Still, it's really nice and, best of all, free.

They should also let us know before the time they won't allow in beer we bought. Beer there is over 100 pesos !. I think they are overrated. There is a band that plays on Sunday's in San telmo fair that's way more amazing than them. Even the drums was not loud at bomba del tiempo. So disappointed. Rather go to San Telmo you can literally feel the drums going through your body plus you can watch for free.
