I needed some snacks for mom while we were in the Atlanta airport, she also needed some aspirin. I was able to find a nearby convenience store to our terminal. I got a soda, some snacks and the aspirin I needed from my mom. This place is self check out, so it was a pretty easy in and out. read more

This is a fairly large convenience store in concourse A. There are several other Z markets dotting other terminals at ATL, but my experience was while I visited the one in concourse A. Their prepared food section was very large...selling sandwiches, charcuterie items, yogurts, refrigerated snacks, etc. They also had a section for inspirational reading books, which I have not seen very often. Their souvenir area was not as large as others but if you are only stopping in one place and this is it, it does have a variety of mugs, keychains, sweatshirts, t-shirts and such. Here at the Hartsfield Jackson Airport in Atlanta, traveling to New Orleans, I got a bit hungry with a slight headache. Everything is so expensive and I understand why. (Airports need to reconsider their rents to outside vendors). So I came across Z Market, a convenience store in Terminal A, right across from Gate A27. Typical layout (crowded, lots of junk food and soda and no pricing. But I asked this employee and in a very straight-forward manner she told me the price was "$12.00"! For a ham and cheese sandwich. I thought about it for a couple of seconds and I bought it, along with a Coke Zero ( I was hungry!). It was actually good! It could have used some Duke's Mayo but overall, lots of ham, a couple of slices of cheese, lettuce and tomato, all on 2 slices of multi-grain bread. I enjoyed it. But I can only give the place 3 stars since the overall environment and the cold attitude of the employee are not very good or nice. read more

I stop in a the Z Market located on Concourse T every time I fly home from ATL. My usual purchase is a couple of bottles of water for the wait for my flight and of course for the flight home. I think Z Market are masters of packing tons of merchandise into a small area. Think of a gas station convenience store on energy drinks. They have everything you would expect to find at one of those plus more. They typically have some form of city/college/professional branded sports apparel for you to grab last second in case you missed out on your stay. Food (snack and drink) prices aren't the cheapest, but remember they are located in an airport and have extremely high rent. Keeping that in mind they really aren't priced too bad. Also, not a bad place to stop of you want to grab a magazine or book to read during your flight or need to get some replacement ear buds or power brick for charging your device. They really have a little bit of everything and plenty of things you probably wouldn't anticipate. read more

It's about 830 and it's a Friday night. I'm waiting for my flight. A guy who works in the airport filled up 2 gigantic garbage bags full of food from Z Market that was going right into the dumpster. It's beautifully packaged and ready to go. He's filling up a couple boxes now. I thought he was going to be taking it to a homeless shelter or the needy because the food looks that good. He told me they had suggested to the management and the management won't do anything about it. And one of the sanitation guys came by and he threw it right in his bin That cart ended up being full so this is the trash bag that's waiting to be thrown away. In a world where there are so many people that are hungry (I imagine there are plenty of hungry folks in ATL too), it's hard to believe that all that food is going into the trash. Bad business move. ***Z Market is your standard airport convenience store; it is a little smaller than most Hudson News shops, but it has a decent selection of Atlanta souvenir magnets, magazines, candy, snacks, and drinks (including a variety of bottled waters--several different brands and sizes); prices were consistent with what you would expect to spend at LAX*** Z Market is located past the security checkpoint so it is only open to air travelers. Your basic airport-mart. Has all the essentials, including: 9$ bottles of water, day old sammiches, luggage locks, even though you cant lock your luggage. Neck pillows, all sorts of candy, yogurt, people from everywhere. The one. The only. Z-Mart!!! I picked up a XXL 2Pac Collectors Edition magazine here too. R.I.P. Im not putting this place down by any means. Im just not always a fan of airports in general and right now, as I drop this gem for you all, I am not a fan. This place feels like a convenience store or a gas station without the gas. They have snacks and pre-made sandwiches to go. They also have a small selection of magazines and books. I walked into the market with my 2 bags in tow and my Brookstone pillow, which I carry with me every time i fly out. I went to the register and began my process of having my items rung up. The cashier than grabs my pillow and I proceed to tell her I brought the pillow with me. She disbelievingly unzips my pillow and sniffs it saying "than why is it so clean?" I'm completely in shock at this point. I'm thinking: hell, sorry I don't have a dirty head. Than she demands a receipt. I'm shocked that I have to explain myself to this lady and tell her, why would I carry a receipt with me for a pillow I purchased awhile back?" Than I tell her to count her inventory to which her laziness stops her. I then tell her I don't appreciate being accused of stealing to which she rudely responds back saying "I didn't accuse you of stealing". I then ask her, her first and last name and she dismisses me saying "I don't have to give you my name". I finally walked out of Z market and took my business elsewhere. For those that want to encounter rude experience before a long flight, check this place out. Otherwise, walk a little further down the north terminal and purchase your travel needs elsewhere. the only place i could find that had other water available besides awful dasani. There were 3 other brands that i like, but no prices visible ANYWHERE, 1 male employee kind of near me was busy schmoozing on a female emp. from another store & the other female employee was working the register. So i take all 3 waters to the reg. as luck would have it im behind some dude who's returning something (what the hell could u be returning at an airport store?) and of course thats a long process. I finally get up there, plop down my 3 waters & ask how much they are, I pick 1, and mind you there are 6-9 people behind me at this point thx to mr. return, she then INSTEAD of ringing me up, takes both waters I didn't buy and leaves the register to put them back in the cooler, I guess there may have been a global emergency if those waters reached a certain temp? she finally gets back, I say "is there anything else you'd like to do b4 ringing me up, maybe browse other shops or...?" she starts saying some mess about "im the only 1 here".. guess the other guy wearing a company shirt didn't count?? I verbally b!tchslapped her some more (ima keep it clean on here) but this place is too lazy to price their items, and doesn't give a crap about your time constraints, which should be a MAJOR concern since its an airport!!!! read more
