I see there is no review, and I wanted to write something to help people who need to re-new or…read moreextend their US Visa in Tijuana. First, you need to go for fingerprint. Do not take nothing with you, no bags, no phone, no makeup, no usb, nothing. If you have someone who can keep an eye on your things before you stand in line, better. If not, there is a guy over there who work at the parking next to the fingerprint location. He will keep your things until you exit. This is the guy's job, so I think it is safe. Otherwise, go to your hotel, leave the things and only take to the fingerprints money, the hotel card and the documentation you will need. Then, you have the interview at the Consulate. Also there you are not allowed to enter anything. They made me throw a little something I use to gather my hair. You will wait there for at least 3 hours, I recommend you to have breakfast before. If your appointment is at 10am, you can go before, even 9am will be fine. You will be ask to go through security, then to wait until they call you number to give your paper to someone. Then, you wait in line for fingerprint identification and then, you sit down and someone will call you for a short interview. We were lucky and our visa was delivered the next day, but I can not asure that it is the same for everyone. All the people who I first saw at the finger print I saw the day I picked up my Visa; what makes me thing that perhaps if you are not from Tijauan/Mexico, your Visa is ready right away. If they told you to pick your passport up at 3.00pm, do not try to come before time because they open at 3.00pm, sharp! Besides the regular things your lawyer told you to bring, I recommend you to take with you any documentation you think that might help: marriage certificate, bills, student card, a letter from you employer, last tax paid, driver's license. From there you can return to San Diego through Otay, it is muuuuuuch better than San Ysidro. A taxi from the consulate to the Garita can cost 100 pesos - 10 minutes drive. The same Taxi that took you to the consulate, can wait for you and take you to the Garita Otay. We slept at the Camino Real and was great. Next to the hotel there is a Mall (like UTC), where you can eat, have a coffee at Starbucks and even watch a movie for 4 dollars. We eat a lot and veeeery tasty!!! One place I recommend is Cabanna! I gave 3 starts to the process because it is annoying but very well organized by the personnel out there.

Bad experience, I need information about immigration for my parents. I called number but then…read moresomeone keeps hanging on. Bad customer customer service. I work at a call center we can not hang up on a customer. We provide services so customers expect a lot from us. This is the worst experience. I you are going to hang up 4 times and. Not answer the phone I believe you should get fired.

Amazing how patient, children, babies, pets and adults are to wait 3+ hours to exit Tijuana into the United States. The line snaked into four lines. You'll see children selling woven flowers, mothers with infants walking up and down the lines selling snacks. There was a churro man going back and forth. Also blind or others saying chiclets, selling gum. Many people in line bought cold refreshments like popsicles, ice cream or granita looking cold treats. Happy to be back in the United States.

If you're crossing at the San Ysidro Port of Entry, here's the deal…read more 1.) When traffic gets crazy and the cops block off random streets, your GPS will absolutely lose its mind. Stop listening to it. Just find the end of the line of cars and get in. Otherwise you'll spend half your day doing scenic laps around Tijuana because your app thinks it's smarter than reality. 2.) Make sure you have gas before getting into this line. 3.) Download some shows or movies ahead of time. The wait can drag, and cell service isn't exactly reliable out there. 4.) Bring a little cash too, there are vendors walking around selling snacks and drinks. 5.) Just.....be mindful of your stomach. This is not the place to realize you made questionable food choices. Bathrooms are basically a rumor. 6.) Also, a big one: please don't buy the puppies. They're adorable, yes, but buying them keeps a really ugly breeding situation going, and the conditions the parent dogs are kept in are anyone's guess. You might feel like you're "saving" a puppy by buying it, but as long as people keep purchasing them, these breeders will keep producing dogs in grim, often inhumane conditions. If we collectively stop buying from them, the cycle finally breaks. We saw some really young puppies :( look too young to be separated from mom. Puppies being sold at the border are often far too young to be separated from their mothers. Responsible breeders and veterinarians agree that puppies should stay with their mom and littermates until at least 8 weeks old. Taking them earlier can cause lifelong health and behavior problems. When you buy an underage puppy, you're supporting practices that put the animals at risk. Please choose not to purchase these puppies. The wait itself isn't that bad if you've got some good music or something downloaded to watch. As long as you go in prepared, you'll be fine. Our wait was only 2.5 hours on a Sunday, we arrived in line at 4pm
