I really do not want to be rude but if you do not give this place 5 stars, you really don't know…read morewhat katmer is. I would give 6 stars if I could. #1 place to eat katmer in Turkey, not only in Gaziantep. Avoid Orkide's katmer. This is the real deal. The location is very tricky to find. Do not give up and come back to thank me :) If for some reason you find it little sweeter than you like, have milk with it.

This is my second time to visit this coffee/dessert shop. The first time I was with my friends and…read moremy husband after dinner. I chose Turkish coffee and the chicken pudding dessert ( I cannot remember the name of it). The servers do not speak very much English so that creates a hardship for most reason. They are very nice and try to help though. I was pleased with my items for my first trip. I visited again yesterday afternoon after our lunch. This time I walked around the inside and checked out the restroom. I was very pleased to see a child's play area on the lower level on the way. It was a small area, but I know my kid's would love it. The restrooms were very clean and well stocked when I went in. As I walked around the shop I was able to check out all of the desserts and candies that were sold. What a huge selection! My boys both had their ice cream. My oldest ordered one of the pictures in the menu, and I ordered a different photo for my youngest. I chose the white chocolate mocha and chocolate eclairs. My husband ordered tea. I was very pleased with my order, but I was disappointed in the fact that they didn't bring my boys orders. We ended up waiting over 5 minutes after our order was served. I had to ask a server about them. They brought ice cream, but not the flavors we requested. With the language barrier we kept what they brought us, and the boys were pleased. Overall this is a nice shop. The sweets are good, and the coffee is fresh and hot. I might stop by again after I visit my other coffee shop stops on my list.

If you love Beyran, this is the place to eat. Delicious. This is a place where locals go to eat…read moreBeyran. It may sound weird to have a soup full of meat in it for breakfast (I do not blame you) but you really need to make an exception and try it. It is a must if you are a foodie and in Gaziantep.

The location is a bit sloppy, but I guess that's why some people are attracted to it. The food,…read moreespecially Beyran, is more than wonderful. However, I remember times when it was more than 'more than wonderful'. I don't know if it is a peculiarity or not, in this region, the business owners start off with relatively cheap and high quality services, and then when their business starts growing, the prices go high up, the quality lowers. This is actually what has happened with this place. Currently, there are better places to have Beyran.
