These are truly some the the best macarons I have ever had including those from patisseries in Paris and London. There are a range of beautiful subtle flavours baked into these delights from rose and truffle to pistachio and orange. The macarons themselves are good for five days so perfect for a weeks supply. As they came to approx 1.50 Euro each it may even be worth coming from London purely for them! They also have a range of sweet and wonderfully elaborate cakes in various sizes. We had the beautifully soft and chocolaty 'Pop Art' described on their site as:- 'Caribbean chocolate mousse with Tonka bean Salted butter caramel Burnt caramel cream Biscuit Carambar' The smallest one is less than 5 Euro and enough for two...I can see why they also have one called 'Addict' and another called 'Apocalypse'. They also sell bread and other baked pastries though we did not try these. This was genuinely one of the highlights of my trip to the city and one of the reasons its on my list for another diabetes risking Eurostar treat.

They of course specialize in macrons, but there are many more baked goods on display. The presentation is so stunningly detailed that you will feel bad eating it! I recently spent 9 weeks studying abroad in Lille at the Universite Catholique de Lille. This boulangerie was conveniently right by campus and I found myself frequenting here quite often! They offer a wonderful selection of pastries, breads, sandwiches, and more. Everything is made from scratch and freshly prepared each morning. The service is lovely and the workers are super efficient. Some of them do speak English, but not all of them do. The prices are more than fair and the portion sizes are great. I genuinely didn't have a single bad item here--and I feel like I tried it all! I will say their croissants are phenomenal, but I was impressed with cakes too. The sandwiches and faluches are great options for lunch as well. This was definitely the best boulangerie I tried in Lille, hands down! I would HIGHLY recommend stopping by here and getting a variety of items. You won't be disappointed! I already miss this place and will definitely return if I go back to Lille.

The sandwiches and bread are legitimately good, and the lunch formula at €7.50 is a good deal. Each…read morelunch meal comes with a point. Once you've accrued 9 points, you get a free meal. However, when I came and showed my 9 points today, some of which were slightly harder to read due to the bad quality of the ink and the passing of time, they refused to accept my points, despite the tickets being clearly legible. I came to the store 4 days a week, sometimes twice a day. It felt incredibly petty and dishonest that they would turn down my points under those circumstances.

The boulangerie served what you would expect--variety of sandwiches, toasts, pasta dishes, quiche, and plenty of pastry options. They had a wonderful selection and I knew it was going to be great the second we walked in. Ordering is super simple and the service was good. They women working there did speak some English and we were able to communicate our order to them. The inside is very clean and I really appreciated the aesthetic of the eatery. They offer several floors to eat on too. I ended up ordering a salmon-avocado toast. I knew immediately that I wanted to order it when I saw it in the display case. The toast included smoked salmon on one side, a small salad with avocado slices in the center, and a jammy hard boiled egg on the other side. This all was atop of thick piece of rustic French bread. The bread also had some sort of sun-dried tomato spread on it, which was fantastic. I really loved the presentation of the toast, almost felt guilty cutting into it! It was so fresh and full of so much flavor. The avocado was extremely smooth, the salmon perfectly fatty, and the egg cooked just right. The sun-dried tomato spread tied the whole thing together. And of course the bread was amazing as well. Overall, I really enjoyed my meal here. I left full and very satisfied with the experience. My salmon-avocado toast was perfect in every which way. Every component of it was very fresh too. If you need a quick bite and are in the area, this is a great place to stop!
