My friends and I were training for the Santiago Half Marathon when we decided we should start going to yoga on our days off as a way to stretch and get in a different type of strengthening.
I did a quick search and found Yuukti Yoga. We decided to go here because it is part of the 'Yoga a Luka' initiative and it is also the most central of all the studios (located a a block from the Republica metro stop).
When we came in we bought our classes. Luckily there was space for all 3 of us as the evening classes are always booked full (I recommend coming 20 minutes early to get your tickets day of if you don't buy ahead of time).
They have the classes separated by level so if you are a newbie stick to the beginner class as you will get lost in the more advanced class.
The instructors are good but because there are so many people, you don't get as good of an individual attention as say, the classes in Salvador. So if you don't know what you are doing it is hard to get direction.
I also really like how they have mats and other equipment available for free in the rooms for those that don't have them.
Overall, the instructors and classes were good and we were able to stretch and strengthen, but if you are either more advanced or very beginner, I would look into finding a new studio. read more
