Ignore the low stars!!!! She has 15 5 stars hiding in the very bottom due to them not having other Yelp reviews. This is not a true score!!! She is 5 star!! I was referred to Casey through another group on fb. I saw her answering many questions & finally reached out. She went out of her way and was patient answering every one of my questions! Which were 100's. We did a 7 day turn around on residency. I went to Belize and used an amazing service to cross the border which I would also recommend. Then I met Casey in Merida on our vacation journey & she picked me & my friend up and hand delivered us to the office. Together she got me in & out like lightning. I barely had to answer a question which was great because they did NOT speak English at this office. They knew her & understood what she was doing for me. She covered every base, filled out all the paperwork for me! I wouldn't have dared do it on my own. Her expertise & help got me set up for 4 years in 8 days flat. It is the best money I spent this year!! Don't hesitate to use YTS!! read more

I can echo the other one star reviews. 40min late to an appointment, begged INM to wait because she had all the paperwork...she showed up with the wrong forms and we got sent away. Same as the others, kept 1k deposit x2, ghosted after I said I handle it all. She then replied I set up the new appointments which was days after we did everything ourselves. Don't walk, run. In addition to all of this, when I told INM who my helper was, the lady physically looked worried for me. read more

I received my temp visa at the vegas consulate on the 9th. I reached out to yucatan transitional services to complete the canje process. No contractual agreement was signed. I was told that I need to send a copy of the visa/passport and a deposit of 1000 pesos in order for them to book the appointment. I sent that info over and for days every morning I checked in to see if they booked the appt. Each day I was given an excuse as to why it was not booked and they kept assuring me they would get it done. I expressed to them that if they could not get it booked that I would need to move onto another facilitator. I reached out again this morning hrs went by & I didn't hear anything. So, I spoke to two other facilitators & decided to move forward with one, who was able to get my appointment booked. After hrs went by casey from yucatan transitional got back to me and stated that she would need to check with her husband when she got home to see if the appointment was booked. I informed her that it was ok and that I was moving on with another facilitator. All of a sudden she mentions my appt was booked for the 3rd, no time was mentioned. She suddenly mentioned this after I told her that I no longer needed her service. she then goes on to tell me that we can go to progresso because there was no way I could get an appt in Merida that soon, even though the other facilitator booked me an appt in Merida for Monday. l told her I'm not going to progresso and to just refund the deposit. She then tells me that there is no refund on the deposit. In the pdf of the services they offered and sent me via email there is no disclaimer that mentions that I cannot get a refund for not using their services. She refused to return the deposit and every day made an excuse as to why she wasn't able to book the appt. Kept going on and on about how it's impossible to book for next week when in reality it was impossible for her. She is the only facilitator that I spoke to that even requested a deposit. I called her out online and she accused me of being a liar when I have the messages of her refusing to refund my deposit. She also proceeded to block me. So, I am here to warn others. There are other faciliators in Merida that do not require a deposit and are more professional and efficent at their job. Do not use her service and do not send her any deposits. read more

It was pretty overwhelming when we tried to do Temp Residency on our own. Friends suggested we call Casey Leonard at YTS.. Well that was the best call and pesos spent, I can tell you that. Casey didn't waste any time and I was grateful that she reached out to my partner who was really anxious about this whole process. The attention and service we received was very personal and considerate of our special needs. Plus, Casey is an absolute wealth of knowledge beyond the services of Yucatan Transitional Services. read more

Very bad service. I was trying to rent a house and there was 0 communication until the morning of starting the rental. By that time, I had already made arrangements with my landlord to stay longer. Casey was upset with me for bailing on the rental (very unprofessional since she never got back to me with the details), then she went on Facebook and caused drama on posts made by a friend of mine, trying to make it difficult for me to find another rental by complaining about my pets (even though she had no issue with the numbers of cats I have, and even told me she had lied to the owner saying I only had 1). And when she's not attacking her clients, she is attacking and bullying other people for their political views online. Not someone that should work with the public at all. Terrible, too much drama from unstable people. Terrible, demasiado drama de gente inestable. read more

I wish I read these reviews before I used Casey. I paid her upfront for half of residency application/processing. Lord only knows what she did with my sensitive information I provided to her. This was back in January 2022. It's now August and nothing. I have whatsapp'ed her many times and sometimes she responds. Other times she says the system is down. She did say the lawyer Tony was getting me my money back but that was month or two ago. And only after I threatened to post something online. I waited long enough so I'm posting. A friend did get her temporary residency through Casey. So I trusted it. Otherwise would never have paid almost $2000 usd upfront. Half of the fee. Do yourself a favor and use someone else. read more

Very disappointing, wife and I hired Casey Leonard to help with our residency and transferring utilities into our name for our new house. She never showed up at immigration for my residency card and I was left to figure it out on my own. And she totally blew us off in transferring our utilities, changing the lock on our house.... a complete and total ripoff! Afterword we found out she conspires with other Facebook admins to delete negative posts about her and her business so unsuspecting expats that try to conduct their own due diligence are unable to find the numerous negative post made about her and her businesses. Stay away, far away.... read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Casey agreed to help me get me residency visa. I sent her the information she asked for and her $1000. Peso retainer. Long story short, I was ghosted by her shortly after my arrival in Mexico and ended up having to use another firm. She did not provide the service she agreed she would, and still has not refunded my money, as she said she would. Do yourself a favour and use another firm. There are plenty out there that are very professional. Casey and Yucatan transitional services are not one of those firms read more

Casey Leonard of Yucatan Transition Services is the best. After having a very miserable time at INM, Casey came to the rescue. She took care of the paperwork, making the appointments and within ten days I had my permanent residency. I know I couldn't have done it without her. Thank you Casey. read more

Casey Leonard from Yucatan Transitional Services helped my Beloved and I with getting our residency. She definitely knows what she is doing and has all the connections in all the right places. It was a very stressful time for us as our Visa was about to expire but we contacted Casey and within a week she was able to help us with getting our Temporary 4-Year Residency and it brought us so much peace of mind. Casey is very caring and she has a lot of clients so I would recommend staying in touch with her during your process because she can get quite busy with the amount of clients she is helping. But all in all you can trust Casey to get the job done! Definitely recommend her and her services! read more

I am an unhappy customer of Yucatan Transitional Services. Casey doesn't keep us in the loop of what is happening with our son's residency application. I have found her disorganized, unreliable, and untrustworthy. Our son is non-verbal and it has been almost a year, since we started this process. I have found Casey disorganized, she doesn't communicate, she always has an excuse and it is always someone else's fault. She has our son's passport, all our original court documents naming my wife as his guardian, marriage certificate, translations of documents, and the $14000 pesos for the application and fees. She was suppose to have an INM appointment this past Thursday, we asked her to keep us updated and let us know the status after the appointment. I text her the day before the appointment and asked her to make sure Hector's documents were in order the day before the appointment (in one of the text, she said she had to find Hector's documents...). My wife and I have texted her several times, since the day of the appointment and we haven't heard a word. In total, this is the third appointment for Hector, the first appointment, she told us that they gave her a appointment on a holiday. The second appointment, she came back and told us that we had to have a document signed by the consultant, which when she met my wife with the document, she had someone's else name at the bottom and and to go and have the document reprinted with my wife's name. We started this process a year ago next month, when we left to return to the United States the end of May (my mother was hospitalized with heart failure). We left Hector with our helper and her family for three months. After we return and contacted Casy to start the process, my wife's card was about to expire, she completed the renewal and notified Casey she had her new card. It took several text and calls, and finally she made another appointment. (I am leaving out a whole lot of details of problems and difficulties we have had with Casey). Bottom line, we have a real issue not having documents for Hector and we have to take Hector fir a three day assessment in Mexico City. Anyone who has an autistic child can tell you the difficulties in getting services. Residency programs have up to 10 year wàiting period. So, you can understand our frustration with Casey. We cannot take him anywhere for fear that if we were stop and had our documents check they would detain him. He doesn't talk, he cannot protect himself. Fortunately, I have found out that there is a legal process that w.e can file a claim against Casey, and we plan on doing just that. read more

Casey is an incredible business woman with a huge heart. Her team has come through for me many times and for my friend needing a ride to the airport during curfew hours. I have used Yucatán Transitional Services for visa information, health care translation, finding specific medical care I require, transportation services, and not to mention a lot of laughs and amazing recommendations to places. In my move to Mérida, Casey immediately felt like a friend and put me at ease when I was new to the country experiencing a flare in my health. Her professionalism and dedication to service comes from an authentic place. I consider myself lucky to have contacted this business first. Two other property management companies didn't come anywhere near how helpful Casey and her team has been. One competitor even had to park her company's URL and redirect it to their site which speaks to the threat YTS must be and I can see why. read more

Not recommended. We hired and paid Casey to process 4 temporary resident cards for us. She only processed 3 which left us with one child without any legal paperwork to be in the country. She also processed our paperwork incorrectly and we only discovered the hold up with immigration after hiring someone new to help us. She wouldn't even provide us with proof that she had submitted our stuff, no NUT numbers or anything, even when we asked repeatedly and she always replied with oh yeah, I will get that to you right away. She kept our money and didn't do anything to get us our cards in the end. Be very careful hiring YTS read more

Casey Leonard is the absolute opposite of professional. She misses meetings completely, late if she does show up, didn't file paperwork she said she had filed. Had me drive 45 minutes to sign paperwork and forgot to bring the paperwork. Her excuses for missed/tardy meetings included food poisoning, broken arm on kid, neighbor's heart attack, car problems. I was afraid to be around her thinking a earthquake or tsunami was near. She flat out lied about filing paperwork I had paid her to file, at the immigration office, in front of the officials, who said she had not paid the fee or filed the paperwork. Of course she refused to return the money I had provided to pay the fees. She refused to return my paperwork when I changed to a real professional and we had to file a report to get new paperwork. She can probably get simple visa work completed only because she speaks Spanish. You could do anything she does with a translation ap on your phone. For anything more than a simple application go to a real professional. And don't give her any cash. Period. Go with her and hand the cash to the officer yourself. This woman is not to be trusted. I wish I could give a minus star rating. read more

My Experience with Yucatan Transitional Services and Casey Leonard: I want to begin by saying that my husband and I have had MANY positive business experiences with YTS over the last 3 years. They have assisted us in several matters including living accommodations, vehicle rentals, immigration services and even emergency assistance when we were stranded due to a US Border Patrol system error that caused them to deny our entry back to the US to return to our home. All during covid! Uggghhh. I called Casey and Casey came to our aid immediately with connections, information and sound advice on who to call and how to get it resolved so we could get home. She never batted an eye or skipped a beat! We are forever grateful for her competent and professional assistance during a very stressful emergency situation for us. Casey Leonard and YTS have also handled my Permanent Residency process with competent advice, guidance and professionalism. All of our questions were answered starting in our planning stage several months before the process, to the preparation for the Mexican Consulate appointment, exactly what to do upon entry at the airport and immigration for the first time with my RP visa and finally completing the process within the 30 days once here in Mexico. Never a worry, never a hiccup, seamless communication. I definitely give my very highest recommendation for Casey Leonard and YTS! Stay away from Casey! She'll burn you like a matchstick. I had the displeasure of knowing her. I had her on my Facebook page for five years and eventually blocked her because I got fed up with her antics. She's conceited and very unprofessional. She thinks she knows everything and likes to put people down all the time to feel better about herself. To make a long story short, she reminds me of my two-faced sister. She'll act like your best friend at first and then put a knife in you. She takes advantage of the most vulnerable people out there. Casey screwed me when she put me in a rundown apartment with a shady landlord. She'd never even met the guy, nor did any background check on him. That right there should have been a red flag. She basically was looking to earn a quick buck and took advantage of a guy with autism. Not to mention she never bothered to find me another place after the landlord forced me out of my apartment because I have autism. I had to spend the rest of my time in Merida at an AirBNB during the pandemic because of her irresponsibility. Her beau is a real piece of work, too. He's brash and disrespectful and doesn't like to be outdone. He likes taking jabs at you and gives backhanded insults. She does as well only Casey is more subtle about it. She also does drugs from time to time, which tells you everything you need to know about her character. She says that her son has narcissistic personality disorder. Gee! I wonder where he learned it from. I don't know everything about her, but I DO know that she comes from money and has a white imperialist mindset and thinks she can just capitalize on any situation she comes across for her own monetary gain. She probably paid people to give her rave reviews on here. I wouldn't put it past her. If you ever come across her, run the other way and never come back. read more

Truly the worst experience I've ever had with any business or service ever. Unprofessional, disorganized, incorrectly filled out paperwork, immigration requirements that Casey "forgot to tell me", requiring last minute scrambles, many rescheduled and missed appointments, inability to take responsibility for issues she caused. Recommendation for Casey and YTS services was summed up best by a Mexico Immigration Agent who told me, "You need to cut ties with her, she has a bad reputation here and you don't need problems with Immigration". Do NOT use Casey or YTS services. read more

My husband and I moved to Merida 5 years ago. Before making the move i joined Casey group on facebook along with some other expats groups in Mexico. I was able to ask a lot of questions and received really good answers. I have used YTS on several occasions for translations, house services, and Casey was able too process our Permanente residency without any problems and I must say she's the G.O.A.T in my opinion when it comes to her knowledge and working relationship with the people of Yucatan. I definitely recommend her services. read more

Casey has helped our expat community with immigration, finding rentals, understanding the bureaucracy of Yucatan. She dedicates herself to ensuring that paperwork is completed correctly and submitted on time. I needed to get plates for an old car I bought, and hired another expat friendly service for this. Total disaster- months went by and no plates, waiting at the DMV for 7 hours and not getting them because they did not tell me I needed one thing, etc. Finally I gave up on that company and hired Casey. Had my plates in a week and she charged less than the original company I hired. I should have gone to her first! read more
