Terrible experience with them. Never saw our coordinator, everything was communicated in email and phone call. We suspected that our videographer was high while watching raw videos, camera keeps going off up to the left in key moments. Two cameras had two different video formats. One was in hd and one was in sepia. It was supposed to be shot in 4k. Watching the raw videos really upset us because a lot of key moments were missed as they shot away from subject. Our lead videographer came in a army green jacket and was rude! The other guy was appropriately dressed however the way they shot did not match anything we saw that made us decide on using YTM. My stepson said the equipment they used were outdated. During dinner service they stood in front of our table chit chatting w each other. They set up camera tripod that was never used. Never saw any footage from the camera tripod. Because the wedding took longer than expected one of the videographer wanted to know if we will pay for the overtime. It made a very uncomfortable situation. I feel like they randomly hired people with no screening. I should have known better to check where they were located, California. I wish that we got local videographer that we can meet and discuss or see the camera guys previous work. I felt ripped off because we are deaf couple. Our coordinator never met with us once face to face. The editing was nothing like we saw. Our wedding video was not even featured afterwards because the company knows it was a badly shot video. Do yourself a favor if your in New York, or any other state, hire the local videographer and make sure you see their previous work. YTM is basically hire people with no screening. We felt like one of the videographer was high on drugs because his camera kept going off into space at several key moments they explained that it was YTM style and I never saw this in any videos before. Two outdated cameras, one in HD one in sepia! We were promised a full 45 min video and that never came, only the 20 min video. Watching it was not a high quality movie. The changing camera was obvious you can see the differences in the camera switched from hd to sepia and hd. It was a terrible experience. Do yourself a favor, hire local. They are based in California. We spent close to 3k and the finished product we felt ripped off. During shooting they blocked my in-laws view and I often saw my mother in law trying to see but was blocked. They had no sense of coordination. Because it went over the time they were aggressive in demanding if they will get paid for overtime. During dinner service both camera guys stood in front of our table chit chating w each other kind of running my wife and I intimate moment and blocking our family from us. I regret hiring them. I regret not using a local videographer. I regret not asking to see the camera guys previous work. I regret not asking for their previous job assignments. I am so dissatisfied with this company that we haven't watched our video since because it's very upsetting, it was no where high quality that we expected. They constantly followed our photographer and got in his way at times. Very unprofessional. They are a franchise in New York! I wish we never hired them. There was one key moment in shooting where I was reading my wife letter to me and had a tear. The camera guy asked me if I could do it over as they didn't record it right. My wife and I used Yours Truly Media for our engagement shoot and wedding. Communication was great throughout the duration of the project (email, phone calls, texts) and we are happy with how all of the photography and videography turned out. Our engagement shoot was in March 2020 right before Covid and through all the various challenges and setbacks - YTM stuck with us every step of the way until our wedding in April 2022. We could easily download all of the photos and videos and store them in Google Photos for easy access in the future. Recently used yours truly media for my wedding. Had a great experience with them on our wedding day. However I got the videos back with the wrong music and a few other things I have questions on, which could be a simple fix. But I've attempted to email and contact multiple times since November and have not received any response at all. There's no phone number to get a hold of anybody and they do not reply to any emails. I've also tried messaging them through their member portal multiple times and haven't received any response since November. It's very frustrating since we spent so much for a videographer, but can't get a hold of anyone to get our videos fixed. read more

If I could give it a negative 10 I would!!! My 26-year-old daughter who is already under much pressure as she is in school for her master's to be Pediatric NP, was scammed out of more than $1800. Not only did they cancel her booking several days after receiving her money, but they also did it by a phone call. NO email! She was told via phone call that she would receive a refund to her credit card; she has never gotten that. She contacted them via email requesting immediate reimbursement. They responded with an email back stating they sent a check to her address and "it was delivered" There is no check! And why wouldn't they credit the card she used? There is no credit on her card. So, on top of being stressed from her studies and planning a wedding at the same time, she now has to run around in circles trying to get her money back. We chose Yours Truly Media for our wedding videographer and they did not disappoint! The whole process was seamless from the initial booking to the final video delivery, and the pricing was very reasonable with options to add-on additional coverage as needed. BEWARE!! I have waited so long to write this review in the hopes we could settle this amicably and professionally, however I have been left without responses to my last couple of months communication, and worry each day about the couples who have booked this company in the time that has passed. The quality of the wedding video I have received is nothing short of embarrassing, and does NOT meet the quality standards expected of a professional company. With the heads of my groom and I chopped off at multiple occasions, to large smudges on the camera lens/blurry footage, to our vows being almost inaudible, and the strangest choices of audio and video footage (minimal to no footage of people speaking at my ceremony, and the focus on random guests throughout the entire reading), I am just so beyond disappointed with the product. After expressing our concerns that there was almost NO FOOTAGE OF ME WALKING DOWN THE AISLE IN OUR INITIAL EDIT, and completely missing our cake cutting (that they were present for), as well as the many quality concerns, we were given a minimally edited re-edit that included some blurry footage of me walking down aisle, re ordering of some clips (as they were not initially in chronological order), and adding the cake cutting, but NO attempt to fix any of the other issues. When I show others my wedding video, I get laughed at. My mother, who is the LEAST judgemental person who always sugar coats, said the product reminded her of a badly edited version of the sitcom The Office, with the odd angles and audio clips. We have attempted to contact Yours Truly Media MULTIPLE times looking for answers, and to see if we could have our raw footage (we choose the highest level videography package) to have some of the important parts of our day that were missed in the final cuts but we know were recorded (as there are phone videos from guests that you can view them being recorded). We went as far as contacting legal support to help us with our claims, along the way being MUCH more kind and professional than I even think is appropriate, with no response at all in the last few months from Yours Truly. We attempted to send multiple letters along with email (an email we know is still active due to a friend receiving email back and forth from it), with the letters being returned to sender. We even checked to see if they were still in business. After MONTHS of trying to get some closure, with no answer, we even resorted to offering to pay additional for our raw footage, still with no response. I have never experienced a team as unprofessional and unwilling to help a couple have a good experience as Yours Truly Media. I have never before written a bad review, and had the most INCREDIBLE wedding day thanks to the rest of my lovely vendors, but I am just in shock by the behavior of this company. You should also know there is a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT against this company by their photographers and videographers, as they are contracted out and are known not to pay them as agreed upon. I booked this company due to good reviews on the knot, and I'm sure some people have had different experiences, but it is just NOT worth it to risk with this company, no matter how understanding of a person you are. read more

Having them a part of my wedding was literally the worst part of my entire wedding process and had me in tears after every conversation with them. Didn't know companies were allowed to make up rules and regulations as they go that were not stated in the original signed contract ..(probably because they are not but this is probably their MO). Save yourself the headache and money and do NOT book this company. If you value your peace during wedding planning, run the other way. Just look deeper into this company and their reviews and you will see what I mean..I left a review on The Knot and they tried to have it removed and when they couldn't, they response back to it with INACCURATE information saying that I replied to them when receiving my video saying that they did a "phenomenal" job which never happened as those words never came out of my mouth. Videos came out great, but had slight technical issues with the raw footage that was provided. However, everything was well accommodated.

To start with the positive, our photographers were fantastic the day of. We were extremely happy with the photos we have, the photographers were pleasant to work with, and the photos will be something to cherish forever. But before booking, I wish we knew that we would not meet our photographers that would be on site until the morning of our wedding. The administrative team of Yours Truly was great to work with up until our wedding, but not being able to communicate directly with our photographers seemed to cause a handful of communication problems on our wedding day. For example, directions to locations were left out for our photographers - they almost went to the wrong location - and our shot list was not being followed, leaving the bride and groom to try improv the list from memory. From start to finish, the team was professional and such a pleasure to work with! They had wonderful flow and at times we didn't even notice they were there! I would absolutely steer away from hiring this company unless you want your wedding day completely ruined. I dealt with photographers that never showed up despite full payment and a contract that was signed. I have moments of my day that were never captured and moments I cannot recreate because of YTM. I can't imagine another bride experiencing the amount of chaos and stress I endured the morning of my wedding, which bled into the entire day. I regret hiring them so much. When I tried to address the breach in contract, I was met with complete and utter disrespect, unprofessionalism, and rudeness. It was nearly impossible to get in touch with them. There was 0 accountability for the damage that had been done. Despite being in breach of their contact, they refused to refund us in anyway. They have a photographers and videographers who they never pay and there is a class action lawsuit that the contracted workers are trying to get going. Please do your research on this company. You have no idea who are you getting for your wedding or if anyone is even going to show up. This was absolutely such an awful experience. read more
