I remembered a friend mentioning The Computer Man, based in Essex, who visited your home. I emailed the guy and within 20 minutes received a reply with an offer of visiting in the afternoon. WOW. Then, a phone call later, the engineer rang to say that if it was convenient he could visit within 30 minutes. He arrived dead on time, diagnosed the problem as a faulty hard drive. A replacement was fitted and an upgrade to the RAM. Reinstall of Windows 10 and other drivers. All within an hour. Could you get more satisfaction. A reasonable price with, I noticed on the invoice, a discount on labour charges of 10%, because I am an 'old geezer'. Thanks, Matthew, for a great service. I found Mobile PC Doctor on line and contacted them. They responded very quickly and came to look at the PC the next day. I was really impressed as I'm so used to IT guys speaking over my head! Shujaat explained everything clearly and listened to my requirements. It turned out that my computer was not appropriate for my needs and I hadn't set it up properly. He advised me of the spec I should be looking for and checked the various options I sent to him. In the meantime, he took my old machine to try and recover my data. When he realised that it was about 14 years worth of client data he was determined to try and do all he could to recover it. I was so impressed with his dedication - even after I had given up he kept looking for a way to recover it and eventually found one. He then re-set my old PC and set up the new one properly.
