The staff is great, they are all caring, friendly and they get involved with the kids and families. I really feel like we are part of the Primrose Dunwoody family. The teachers are amazing in all the grades, they are patient, loving and firm at the same time. They do a great job teaching them routines, manners, helping with potty training and of course, teaching them the curriculum (numbers, alphabet, shapes, colors...etc). Their curriculum is complete and strong. They do frequent assessments starting at early age to track the child's progress and make sure they are on track. The tuition is expensive, but it is worth the money as the provide safety and high quality education. We love Primrose School of Dunwoody, and we recommend them!

It has only been a month or so into the school year and I cannot say enough about this place. The teachers we have are just the best you can imagine. They care so much for the kids they have in the class. The administration is exactly the same. One day my daughter was sent home early from not feeling well and I had to call in the next day because she still didn't feel well. They new exactly who she was the second I mentioned her name! There are a lot of kids there so that was pretty impressive in my book. If you are looking to send you children to GA Pre K I highly recommend this place. If I was tortured to the brink of death to criticize this place I would have to say it is the parking. That lot is terrible but from what I hear they are stuck with it as they rent it from the shopping mall they are behind. I totally ignore it since their awesomeness overshadows that tiny issue.

Reposting from my Google review:…read more A den of thieves. We started at VMS in Jan 2020, and in March 2020 we had to pull out our child because of COVID lockdowns. VMS asked us to continue paying, which we did, because we understood that it was a hard time for everyone. We did not attend during Fall 2020 and started back in January 2021. Everything was fine. Summer of 2021 we were told students would not be required to wear masks (a requirement for us to send our child, which they knew). About two weeks after school started they reversed this decision, so we got a medical exemption for our child, as did several other parents. About a week after receiving medical exemption, they decided to reverse this as well and revoked all medical exemptions, and yet still expect us to continue paying. We even appealed to the school but were met with ridicule and condescension. We have been literally laughed at and disregarded. This is a school of indoctrination not education. It is a school that teaches children to obey and not to question. If you are trying to find a private school because you're worried about the incompetency of our government and do not want to be forced to obey their arbitrary unscientific mandates and restrictions which are imposed on public schools, this is not the school for you and I highly recommend looking elsewhere.

I feel like it is what you put into it and the staff sometimes changes due to turnover, but for the most part , the same teachers are still there that she had throughout. Despite talking a lot about the curriculum, Oak Grove really just provides babysitting services. They will show you the binders of curriculum and that it's posted outside the classroom door. But curriculum is only as good as how well its implemented. There was little education or development during our time there. The staff at Oak Grove is babysitting, not educating. The large classrooms look fantastic, until you realize how many kids they have in a classroom. They will tell you that they meet state requirements for teacher/student ratios, but just because you CAN have so many kids in a classroom doesn't mean that you SHOULD. Classrooms are chaotic and teachers are overwhelmed. There were a number of other issues during our time with Oak Grove, but the overall issue is that you can get better for your money. Oak Grove may seem cheaper at first, but other daycares include extracurriculars in the tuition that Oak Grove charges extra for. By the time you include the cost of extracurriculars, Oak Grove is not cheaper. Also, Oak Grove had parents provide food and supplies for holiday parties, but at our new school all holiday parties, egg hunts, etc are funded by the school. So much more convenient for the parents! We regret the time we wasted at Oak Grove and are so much happier with our new school. ------------------------- Note about the response from the school: Again, they quotes ratios. Be sure to ask how many kids total are in the class and how many of the adults in the class are true teachers versus helpers/assistants. I know that at one point there were almost 30 kids in my child's class. That is simply too many toddlers in a room. That said, considering the number of families who unenrolled their kids this year, the ratios probably have improved... but not for the right reasons. Also said in the initial review, the leadership talks a lot about the curriculum... but the curriculum is only as good as how well it's implemented. Lastly, why on earth would the owner want to contact me months after we have left other than to attempt to improve my review? If they were truly concerned, they would have worked on improving the situation before we and other families chose to leave.

The teachers and principle are attentive and seem to create their own bond with each individual child. I am excited to drop my child off because I know he is in great hands. Pictures are posted daily which warms my heart to see my child while I am away at work. Since starting the academy my child has become more independent and exhibits new skills daily. I am very happy to have Ivybrook be a part of my community!
