Unhelpful and deplorable customer service I decided to enquire with You & I Introductions as I thought this would be a good way to meet a genuine and compatible partner When I called I spoke to a representative (the owner?). Initial conversation started off quite well and I was beginning to feel that this would be a service suitable for me. The representative mentioned during the conversation that they are registered and have an introduction licence and that the number is displayed on their website I was viewing their website during the whole duration of the phone call and located the licence number. I then went to check the licence number on the Queensland Office of Fair Trading website register - introduction agent industry sector. When I advised that the register returned no search results on the licence number the representative sounded very concerned about this and profusely reassured me that they were genuine and the real thing. As I progressed looking through the website, some things really started to look like "red flags" and highly unusual. Social media icons for google plus, twitter and facebook are shown but the You & I Introductions page doesn't show on the applicable social media sites. I find it weird that this dating agency can only show client testimonials as "recent" as 2003 and 2012, and yet, it has been established since 1966. The representative went on to say that there is / was a special available for 495.00 which would give registration and membership for 6 months. Normally the cost is around 1,100.00 It was at this point that I went on to asking about getting a detailed overview of how the agency works, membership conditions, how many introductions would I get, where does the initial consultation take place, just to name a few. The representative was very much on the defence and was getting highly agitated with my questions. The representative completely sidestepped and refused to clarify my questions. A demonstrated unwillingness to be helpful and transparent just screams dishonesty to me! Additionally, the representative said in a very agitated and abrupt voice that they were going to send me a copy of the contract and then, all of a sudden, they said that they weren't getting paid to talk to or put up with me so they instantaneously shutdown the conversation by hanging up on their end. Their website makes no reference to paying for a consultation, in fact it says "you initial consultation with us is free of charge and without obligation"!
