Authentic English pub!!! Yay!! I mean, yeah. No. Not so much. We love English pub food. Fish & chips, properly prepared, are the best. Here, not so much, at all. Greasy, with a weird aftertaste.
First, service was very slow, even though the place was empty. Nearly 15 minutes to get some beers. Once the food arrived for 3 out of 4 members, it was 20 minutes for the 4th order (chicken wings, seriously? 20 minutes *more*?) to arrive. They were dry and tasteless, despite a heavy dose of Buffalo sauce.
An update on the missing food was requested twice, without response, then it finally showed up, after everyone else was finished.
The music was oppressively loud, like the music guy was high and pretty sure his music mix was killin' it. It wasn't. It was just loud. Ear-pounding loud.
Let me mention again, the place was empty. Why they thought we would like heavy metal blaring at top volume (they did turn it down for a bit upon request, so we could talk, but then inched it back up, bit by bit, until it drove us out), is beyond me.
Give it shot if you like. It may suit you. I can tell you, we won't return; there are too many other great places to eat in Tlaquepaque. read more
