Don't give up file directly with the state and federal government! 888-935-0016 In the case of my 80-year-old mother they lied to her they manipulated her they threatened her! They sent her home in severe pain, throwing up, low blood pressure and without a safe space for rehabilitation! They were clearly notified of these concerns. The hospital ignored and discharged her and said the appeal was completed ( manipulation)That was untrue statement of facts! Day after discharge the state had not completed the appeal or even sent results . My mother was back in the ER the next morning less than 24 hours later readmitted into the same hospital. The discharge case managers #1 and #2, the social workers, the therapist , the secretary, Patient advocates all we're put on notice of this appeal! These individual names are documented. Discharge case manager #1 said it wasn't her problem ! Discharge case manager supervisor#2 yelled over my mother when I was on the phone with her is that Ginger ? She grabbed the phone. She said that it's not her responsibility she doesn't care . She asked me if I knew how to do her job and started telling me about her credentials! I told her that there was a state appeal due to their refusal to fulfill their duties . She said she was very much aware! She continued and I disconnected the call. The nurse was also notified I specifically ask her for the appeal documents . She was told by one of the above that they were not going to give the appeal documents to my mother or her husband. Today 6/29/26 discharge personal #3 came in while I was on the phone with my mother on speaker stating that if she was going to file another appeal for her discharge she needed to hurry up and get it done. ( Funny thought they weren't allowed to file an appeal per previous employees during previous admission .She started yelling Saying she wasn't talking to me when I asked her name that she was talking to my mother. I heard she was informing my mother that if we filed an appeal and the insurance refused to pay that my mother would be responsible for the hospital's charges. ( Not at all what the law states) She stormed out when my mom gave me her name! This is fraudulent information with the intentions to intimidate, harass, manipulate a 80 yr old woman. Can you say coercion! My investigation shows (see documents below) it is a federal offense that comes with Federal penalties to deny the patient to appeal discharge ! We do have multiple witnesses that it was denied by the hospital employees. Which is why the state had to step in! In less than 24 hours my mother was admitted back into the hospital through the ER. Finally they were forced to do their job and reach out to the insurance and then she was transferred to a rehabilitation center. Currently 7/8/26 As families of children ,senior , medicated patience we must advocate on behalf of our loved ones because in our situation the hospital refuses to do their due diligence or practice professionalism.

First his nurse takes me into a room, tells me to disrobe and gives me a gown and leaves. Thirty minutes later I am still waiting to see the doctor. Finally I put my clothes back on and go to leave. I pass the doctor's office on the way out and he asks me where I'm going, and I tell him that I've been waiting for him for 30 mins. He proceeds to tell me that he has been reviewing my records and that I was told that the office visit would take an hour and a half. I told him I was never told that. He was rude and also he is a liar because I could hear him talking on the phone while I was waiting for him. I have no desire to be examined by such a doctor.

Their diagnosis, treatment, and home exercise program resolved my initial problem and also resolved a long-term persistent pain in my ankle that others were unable to resolve because it originated in my back. Since I've had my children with her, she has many times, taken them in suddenly, and many times on super short notice. She is very smart, very thorough and cares! She cares so much that she is not ashamed to voice her opinion on the state of medicine and what a shame the medical field has become. Dr. Punjani isn't not like a rock star with many barriers to protect her from having to acknowledge her patients needs. She makes herself available. Dr. P. does not just take your children's blood pressure and rush you out. She listens, and looks deeper into child and parent's concerns. The office is not much to look at, but it is close to home, and what I look for in a physician is intelligence, caring, availability, and competence. She is all that...plus. Her staff is also very friendly. They are not your typical miserable, sour faced women hiding behind the glass, who hate their job and are prepared to scold anyone who dares approach the window. I have disappointingly put my trust into 2 local pediatricians in the past. I was sad that my children had years to go before they can experience a good, caring doctor such as mine (Dr. Shroff) and for a minute, I accepted that a good, competent, and caring pediatrician is impossible to find...at least in this area, and I accepted that I will have to wait until they are 18 to get one.
