This is the perfect place to be if you want to beat the heat outside. The place is always clean and the staff are always friendly. They have quite a selection of flavors to choose from, my favorites are the pineapple and the coconut. These flavors are so refreshing and takes my taste buds to a tropical paradise somewhere. Of course, I had to add a little bit of the kona coffee an the salted caramel to round everything up. Pro Tip: the staff will be more than happy to give you little cups and tiny spoons so you can try the flavors you may not be sure about. As for the toppings, I have to say, this place has the cleanest and well-organized spread I have ever seen. And again, lots of choices. My favorites are the pineapple bobas and the coconut flakes (are you noticing a theme here?). They also have the freshest-looking blueberries, blackberries, and yes ~ pineapples! The sweet selections look great, too, and the kids usually zero in on the gummy bears, oreo cookies, marshmallows, etc. As for me, I'm happy with some nuts and a sprinkling of Reese's pieces. The final ingredient of this delicious concoction is the hot fudge sauce. I believe there are chocolate and butterscotch sauces too, so no one feels left out. With all of that in my cup, I was one happy camper. I'm glad to have this place in my neighborhood, so I can have a quick treat when the heat gets too much. read more

The thing I love most is that they change their flavors quite often so everytime you come in; there are new flavors "on tap". Also, they are big supporters of local schools by having specific nights where part of the proceeds go towards the school that is being sponsored on a particular day... Love this and thank you guys for doing this! There are tons of add ons that you can top off your yogurt with too. Everything from fruits, nuts, chocolates, coconut shavings etc! Kids love this place. Our neighborhood frozen yogurt spot. They offer 10-12 different flavors at any given time and offer a featured flavor monthly. They have quite a bit of topping options from fruit, popping boba, cookie crumbles to candy and various syrups as well. They have cute beach decor with surfboard shaped tables and the place is always clean. The yogurt is priced based on a per ounce price and they do offer a discount if you are an IGT employee, just show them your work badge. They offer a frequent buyer card, so with every 10 yogurts you buy, you will get one yogurt free. Have a kid in sports, come here with them after a game and as long as they are in their game jersey, you can get their yogurt for 50% off. Super fun atmosphere. The tables are little surf boards and really bring the whole beach theme together. But be carful eating at them with little kids, they are all wobbly and off balance. The yogurt selection is vast and you can find a topping for any sweet lovers dream, or fruits if you're on the healthier side of dessert. First off the people that work there are all great and really nice, the yogurt is tasty...my beef is that every location I've been to the yogurt is sooo runny and therefore melts immediately. Why? It bums me out cuz it's expensive. I was just there today and three flavors were practically liquid. This is the case in every location. Please make your machines colder!!! read more

I really love this place. They have a great variety of flavors - yogurt, sorbet, sherbet, fruity flavors, chocolatey flavors, peanut butter, etc., etc. The employees are always very nice and attentive - asking if we want to sample anything, etc. The toppings always look nice and fresh. I like to see the fruit in small bowls, because I know they need to be refreshed frequently. They have a nice variety of toppings, and they're always adding new toppings, which is fun. The place is always super clean, and they have a good amount of places to sit inside, and nice adirondack chairs for sitting outside. They also have punch cards - buy 9 and the 10th is free! They are really cool about the cards too - some places with punch cards don't really advertise them for some reason, but here, they ask me if I have a punch card whenever I check out! I even went in yesterday with three partially filled cards, and they combined them all onto one for me. I live quite close, and I'm looking forward to riding my bike here over the summer! read more

Yummo! The FroYo here is pretty spectacular. It's creamy and more of a ice cream consistency. There were some great options to choose from: NY cheesecake, cookies & cream, peanut butter fudge, salted caramel, cake batter, etc. And the toppings are endless. I went with a cookies & cream and salted caramel mix with waffle cone and peanut toppings. OMG was I in hog Heaven! The service was awesome. I thought it was pretty clever that they do not allow the patrons to pour their own samples. Nope, here, the associates do it for ya. Great idea! No need to let all that delicious FroYo go to waste. I love how they keep the place nice and clean. Nothing is worse then walking up to a machine with melted FroYo spilled and splattered all over the place. That's enough to make me walk straight out. I did think .42 cents/oz was a tad steep, but perhaps that's just indicative of the area. This froyo is totally worth it though...it's soooo good; I can see why the place stays packed. Custom service is top notch. The employees are always smiling and offer samples and do their job well. Yogurt is amazing, their variety of options is great and I could eat it every night except I would gain a ton of weight. So disappointed in this business. We live in walking distance and frequent them a few times a week and have always enjoyed their yogurt. However Tonight we walked and accidentally forgot our masks. I understand we need masks to enter.. my problem is that they had no disposable masks to offer people?!?!!!! I have had this happen a few times to me, as it's still a new thing to always have a mask and sometimes you just forget, and I have yet been to a business that hasn't had one available for those unfortunate times when people do forget. The girlfriend and I, heathens that we are, were out and about on Sunday, having forgotten that it was Easter and that the majority of businesses would be closed. We attempted to go to Target, REI, Staples, and Office Depot (which was open), and finally decided to try a stop at Yogurt Beach. I'd seen their signs and banners for a while, since I work within walking distance of the place, and we tend to go to the nearby Taco Bell a couple times a month. Anyway, I'd hear the place was similar to U-Swirl (and Pinkberry, and my personal favorite Yogurtland). The layout of the place is open - you walk in and there are a number of seats and small tables (maybe a foot wide, and 3-6 feet in length), fashioned to look like surfboards. Felt a bit gimmicky to me, but a non-issue really, as we sat outside (standard outdoor, black metal tables). Beyond the tables, there was a line of soft-serve machines along the right wall - I didn't count the number, but would guess 12 to 16 flavors. I only tried one flavor here, and it was the peanut butter - the flavor was super sweet and very rich. The staff was super friendly, probably due to it being new, and business being slow (there might have been 4 other people through the door while we were there, two of them seeming like they were acquaintances of the work staff) due to the Easter holiday. On the back wall and the wall opposite from the yogurt machines, there were bulk food bins - probably 20 bins or so. Standard mix of nuts, candies, etc, and next to it a few buffet-style fruits (berries, kiwi bits, etc). So, the real question is how does Yogurt Beach compare to U-Swirl, the other pay by the ounce place in town? Yogurt Beach is $0.33 an ounce, vs U-Swirl's $0.34 an ounce. I prefer how U-Swirl presents the toppings, with everything laid out buffet-style, as opposed to Yogurt Beach's bulk-food style bins. I think one could argue that the bulk-food style bins are probably more hygienic as they each have their individual doors, as opposed to the open air bins and cough-guard. I'd say the two are pretty comparable, but I prefer the convenience of U-Swirl's toppings over the individual bins I have to open and close at Yogurt Beach. I also like how U-Swirl has calorie information displayed on the flavor cards. I think most of my yogurt dollars will still be spent at U-Swirl, but I could see Yogurt Beach filling in in a pinch. read more

When it comes to FroYo, I'm a purist, original tart, with a variety of berries on top, with a little dried coconut sprinkled on it. I have NEVER been disappointed with the yogurt or toppings at Yogurt Beach, and their friendly, positive, staff is always happy for you to sample any flavor, offering sample cups almost the second that you walk through the door! Thinking I'd be stuck with tired, old, and overpriced Honey Treat over at the Smithridge center, I was very glad to be introduced to Yogurt Beach, who saved us all from the gross conditions over at Uswirl. Well, there are a few reasons I think Yogurt Beach is one of the best. First of all, the yogurt itself. Yogurt Beach has really good yogurt. Like, it's good all by itself. That's important, to start out with a good base. There are other places whose yogurt has a funky, chemical taste. Do you know what I'm talking about? I don't know if it's the yogurt itself or if the machines aren't getting rinsed properly or what, but ICK. None of that nonsense at Yogurt Beach. Just delicious, smooth, creamy, flavorful yogurt that tastes like what it's supposed to. And lots of selection for flavors, too. The toppings! So many things to choose from and they all looked fresh and nice. Every time I've been, I've tried different combinations and it's so much fun! The shop itself is adorable, with the surfer theme. We sat at the surfboard table. So cool. My family and I frequent Yogurt Beach quite often. We always enjoy the experience. The way it works is that it is priced by weight. The more you put in your frozen yogurt bowl, the more expensive it gets. Be careful not to load up too much on the yummy candies/treats because it can increase the weight of your yogurt quickly. The staff is always friendly and professional. We really enjoy our visit every time we visit. Also, my kids love the surfing atmosphere. This is local family owned business and they really stand behind their community.They get involved in fund raising efforts and have great deals on large quantities for parties. The service is great as well, there are usually at least 2 teenagers there to greet you when you walk in and offer samples without judging you on how many, lol. I personally can't get enough of the tart, coconut and the cheesecake (when they have it). And don't get me started on the toppings!!! One of my favorite yogurt places in town. I like it simple, so I usually go for the vanilla froyo. I also, love the oatmeal. There is a large selection. You can get something fruity, like blueberry. Chocolate is an another option. They have other seasonal flavors, just stop in and see what they have. If you are not sure what you want, ask for a sample. After that you can top the froyo with an assortment of goodies. From healthier choices like almonds to hot fudge, gummies, and much more. I like to put almonds, granola, some fruits, and mini chocolate chips. I usually pay $3 for my entire order, but I don't have as much of a sweet tooth. The staff is friendly. The space is enough to stay for 10minutes or so. It's great during any season and has a great staff. Also, they do have restrooms if needed. They sell water and soda. You can make a milkshake or a float if you don't like froyo with fancy toppings. Just be careful. Sometimes we can go over board and get too much. As summer is approaching, our stops at Yogurt Beach are getting more and more frequent. Not that we need higher temperatures to tempt us into grabbing a treat on the way home from just about anywhere. It's just plain good and so easy to get addicted to. Yogurt Beach has a few locations around Reno, but this one is close to home and obviously our go to. We try to avoid their busy times which tend to be any night between 6PM - 8PM and after any school sporting event in South Reno. The sheer amount of kids that descend on those poor toppings can be overwhelming. They have a few flavors that never change and then they have their monthly flavors that change out, as you guessed it, every month. I love their chocolate custard with just about anything on it and luckily it's one of their standard flavors. But if you're unsure on a flavor, they will let you sample to your hearts content. After you load up on your FroYo, you have the daunting task of picking out your toppings. They have everything from cereal, to nuts, to crushed candies, to cereal to crushed baked goods like brownies and cookies. Once you're loaded up with all that goodness you have to face the cashier and find out how much damage you did to your wallet and possibly your waistline. It's always less than I expect and after a few stamps on your frequent visitor card, you get a freebie. read more

Ok yogurt beach was amazingly good. I thought this place had to be a franchise because the interior was put together so well. The service was awesome and they have a ton more toppings and better flavors then their competition of U-swirl.
