the best frozen yoghurt in Erlangen. Plus, they offer tasty soups. The menu changes every day.

We had FroYo here. Refreshing taste, reasonably priced with ample toppings available. Would love to visit again.

Wow what can I say about this Franconian style restaurant. Just some back story. I flew into…read moreGermany about three weeks ago (2/2019) and first tried to go here on the Sunday I arrived. They were doing some remodeling so I was unable to get dinner. I tried this place one other time and could not manage to catch them while they were open. I was done and wasn't going to try again. Then I had randomly met a friendly local that suggested a restaurant up the street that had great local cuisine and when I asked which is was he said this place. I told myself I would try one more time and man am I glad I did. The food is all fresh, the liver dumpling soup they have is seriously crazy good and if I didn't tell you that's what it was you wouldn't know. I thought it was meatball soup when I got it. It rocked! It wasn't until a week later that I found out what it was. I also had several other dishes there that were all good but two really stood out. The snitzel and the cordon bleu were out of this world. Ok nothing in Germany is precooked or made beforehand like in the US. The seasoning on the crust on the Cordon Bleu was crisp and very flavorful with just the right seasonings and just the right amount of ham and cheese inside. It was magical. Like everywhere here the beer was awesome but the real star is the lady that waited on me. The last three or four times I was here she was really nice and always says hello when I see her around town. FYI they do have menus with English and do take American Express as many places do not here.

I found this gem looking on my trusty Yelp app when in town and it was just a small walk down from my hotel, so it was a no-brainer. The restaurant itself is well maintained, clean, and has a charming atmosphere. Grabbing a seat, I was offered both a German and English version of their menu to peruse and select my choices. Service was nice and helpful, a positive service experience. The menu gives a wide variety of regional type dishes and entrees, good beer selection and other drink offerings. I chose the Jagerschnitzel the first time, a boneless pork cutlet with sauce and fresh mushrooms. It was served with French fries/pommes frites and a salad. The Jagerschnitzel was excellent, very flavorful and had a homemade like quality to it. Another entree I've enjoyed is the small pork filets in a pepper cognac cream sauce...so delicious! I was pretty impressed with my entree choices. They do take credit cards as well as cash here at the time of my visit, including Visa and American Express. Oh, and they do have a pretty spacious beergarden out back, in season of course. Bottom line: Blaue Traube is the "real deal" when wanting Franconian regional food, a good experience here all around. Selection and taste of entrees, atmosphere, and service are all great from my visits here.

I didn't understand her initially but said no. I guess it would have been too much of a scene to ask us to leave, especially since everyone coming in after us had no reservations. Our order was taken promptly, the food again was high quality and delicious. When time for the check, the staff ignored us for an hour. I sent my children back to the hotel after 20 minutes as it had been a long couple of days of activity and travel. I waited an entire hour for the check after others who had come after me ate, paid and left. I could have left cash but wasn't sure if taxes were required and didn't want to pay too little. I drank 3 carafes of water while being ignored. As it got closer to closing and after I had to use the restroom, the manager/server finally made eye contact so I could request my check. If you are black or brown, DO NOT come here. Yoshoku is very close but was completely full when we went. That food looked just as delicious and I suspect won't come with a healthy serving of racism and disrespect.

I've travelled the world and had ramen in all corners, and this place ranks within the top 5 places I've tried. It is right next door to a pho place, and they're run together. We had the gyoza (in a sublime drizzled sauce), the beef spring rolls (drizzled in a lite fish sauce), and the Shoyu ramen, with pork base. Everything was amazing and we would come back here in a second if in Nuremberg again. Supremely delicious!

Such a welcome surprise to find a Thai restaurant that doesn't insist on serving yet more mediocre…read moreversions of Red/Yellow/Green curry with a choice of meat or tofu. The menu is brief. Noodles in broth, a salad with rice as the base, and sticky rice with or without fruit. Vegan versions of the noodles and salad are printed on the menu, so you don't have to ask for ingredients to be left out. I'm vegetarian and I like the peace of mind of not having to request that the fish sauce be left out, and then hoping to hell that the cook actually remembered doing that. Presentation is plain in keeping with the idea of this being Thai street food, but this does not take away from the quality of the food in any way. I ordered the rice salad dish, and every bite was flavorful. I could have done with a little more lime juice and chilli (rectified by adding spice powder and the vegan version of fish sauce) but that's an individual preference. I really appreciate the vegan version of the chilli fish sauce. Smelling the latter from any closer than two table-lengths away usually does appreciable harm to my appetite, and I like that the vegan sauce is in jars clearly labeled as such. Not a big fan of the seating arrangements here. The tables are low, and the chairs are upholstered in the hideous "vintage" style revival that is all the rage in Germany, a good many years after it died the miserable death that it deserves elsewhere. Not only do the chairs look terrible, they also are not very comfortable to sit in, which is yet another feature of these abominations. I appreciate mid-Century pieces and Danish Modern furniture just as much if not more than your average bearded hipster claims to, but most of this bottom-feeder crap that finds its way into cheap restaurants and cafés needs to be burnt whenever the crematorium's having a slow day. Well, apart for the rant above, Regenzeit is promising, and I'll be back there for more lunches.
