The classes were small with a wide range of experience, but somehow, everyone gets accommodated and feels welcome. Linda is the heart and soul of the center; she welcomed us in and made me feel like I could actually learn some tai chi despite my incredible klutziness. There's also a room with cubbies to leave the rest of your stuff. I really enjoyed the level 1 vinyasa, it was a cold evening and the instructor put the heat on which made it the perfect cozy temperature (not sweaty, but warm enough to help me into poses). How can you go wrong?…read more I was coordinating a week for young women (ages 16-18) of healthy living, self-care, etc. and contacted Mary of Yoga Loca to see if it was okay to bring a larger group of eighteen to her course on a Tuesday morning. She welcomed us, and we enjoyed a wonderful, peaceful morning with her. After meeting her (and many regular attendees of all ages) across the street from Sunset Park, we took our towels down to the water and had a nice, full hour of yoga. I loved that she closed by sharing positive quotes! We even saw a crew of dolphins pass by as the class ended. Mary is wonderful. This class was a great addition to our week. It is a reasonable $10 donation and happens every Tuesday and Friday morning at 8:30AM. I'm sure I will be back.

The studio is clean and light, and they have a lot of nice equipment to use as far as blocks, bolsters, and blankets. I've been to a variety of types of classes here, but most recently I did a deep healing class taught by Tiffinie. It was pure magic and my body needed that. 75 minutes of slow postures that are held for a little bit longer, mobility exercises, and breathing. I will definitely return and I'd like to make it more of a habit to visit the studio. Plus, there's a great smoothie shop next-door and tasty coffee available at the brewery just down the street!
