As a person who travels 40 weeks a year and eats at a billion chain restaurants, Yesterday's is a huge breathe of fresh air. It is local to the airport without the business travelers feel. Food( tenderloin kabobs special) was great and made to order. Wait staff (Tonya) was on top of everything and more personable than any bartender at a national restaurant. I wouldn't recommend to anyone. As the sign says as you walk in door be patient. Should have walked away my mistake. Got a table and had to ask for menus. Then had to ask server for drinks and waited extended period of time for drinks. Got drinks and ordered food. 2 groups came in after us and got their orders . We waited 30 minutes and finally got server's attention and told her just give us our check. She said she thought our orders were at the window, we finally got our 2 grilled cheese sandwiches which weren't that good and left most of the order. We again tracked down the server to get our check and she left the check but never came back for us to pay the tab. We approached the bartender and explained our frustration with everything that happened. She said servers were new and I explained some things are not any excuses for. The bartender was very rude and said do you want to go back and cook for $9.00 and hour. We voiced our displeasure and she said you don't have to come back here and we said we wouldn't be. Her response was good, don't come back here. The bartender is obviously in the wrong line of work and the cooks need to figure out 1st order in and 1st order out. Servers new or not need to figure out which tasks should come 1st. This establishment is well below dive bar and should stick to pizzas and drinks until they can figure things out. I understand, a small hole in the wall bar and expectations should not be anything high. Decided to stop here when staying at a hotel down the street. The service was pretty dismal along with how rude our server was too. Just tried a cup of chili that was pretty much forgotten about and was given to us cold. We had to go flag down our waitress to get our tab to pay. I know this was only a one time visit, but even that was one time too many. read more

DONT DO IT........I guess I was lucky for a few visits, managed to get my order and the drunk crowd patron factor was manageable......Today my luck ran out, too many loud drinkers, my order came out wrong, no offer to get it right or refund, not very nice Mary knocked a whole dollar off.........so I'd recommend just keep walking, unless getting hammered with others doing same sounds fun..... read more

Well, this place sucks. Draft beer tastes like the lines are dirty. It just had a funky taste. Order the "special" and was very disappointed. It was supposed to an open faced roast beef. What I got was warm roast beef that had been warmed up in water and then placed on a piece of white bread which instantly turned to mush. Gravy was bland. Mashed potatoes were instant. I been going to this bar / restaurant since the 1997, when I bought my house in this neighborhood. Talk about awesome American eats while you drink. It is no better here than anywhere in north county by the Airport. Like a Reuben sandwich they got the best here. I met up with a bud of more from high school and we both had the BLT cheddar cheese burger with fries and drank a bucket and more of beer. We had an awesome reunion here. read more

I work not far from Yesterdays and adhere to specific dietary needs. I ordered the chicken sandwich without the bread (gluten allergies) but still wanted the veggies from the sandwich to include the lettuce and tomato on my order .. and told the order-taker as much. It was a to-go order, and I did not think to check out the goods prior to going back to the office. Once at my desk .. and hungry .. I opened the container to find the most overcooked piece of leathery-rubbery overly peppered chicken I have ever seen sitting lonely in the Styrofoam box. None of the lettuce and tomatoes that should have been on the "breadless sandwich" were present. It was a very disappointing experience all around. Doubt I'll give them another try as they really do not serve anything that compliments healthy eating.... except leathery-rubbery chicken. read more

First let me point out that my reviews weigh the food for about 80-90% of what I'm looking at so for those who aren't looking to go here for food skip to the last paragraph. So I went here tonight because everything else on the street was closed and I figured why the heck not... Well, the food would be why the heck not. Don't get me wrong, I don't expect great food coming out of a bar, but this food was actually what I would call bad. I ordered the Patty Melt and a cup of chili. The chili came first and after a bite all I could taste was a mild spice and the rest was super bland. I grabbed the salt shaker and added a bit of salt which helped a bit. Next came the Patty Melt. The burger itself was super greasy, but what do you expect from bar food? My issue was with the fries which had absolutely no seasoning at all. They were just fried strips of potato. Also I was kind of grossed out by the pickle that came with it as it had a dark brown hard spot on it. The patty melt itself wasn't bad. Again a tad on the bland side and way too greasy, but the sauce they used was pretty tasty. However I suspect that people just don't come there for the food. It seems like a pretty standard bar where they rely on the business of their regulars. The people seemed friendly enough, the place was relatively clean, and I appreciated the lack of smoke. If you are just going for a casual laid back bar to get a drink at, you could do worse. read more

Came in everyone at the bar. I sat at a table. I was greeted promptly and very friendly by waitress. Ordered water with lemon. During the world series they had 50 cent boneless wings that where not to shabby. They where out in no time and then my Phillips and fries where out to minutes after which was a good portion that tasted very good. This restuart is overall small town feel and very welcoming. Best place in the area by far nothing near the airport has the prices and feel of a regular place. If u want local flavor this is the spot.

Very disappointed. Food was fine but well over an hour for a burger was much too long, some meals were missing all together - service was slow. We did have a larger group and I'm sure the kitchen is small so guessing they were doing the best they can. HOWEVER was extremely disappointed to see gratuity was placed on separate checks for our families. NO mention of it to anyone - deceitful thieves. I am a good tipper and have no issue with businesses adding gratuity if it is mentioned. Credit card tickets were printed then with a spot for a tip which is typically a double print to show no gratuity was placed in the first place. most tipped again as a result. There will be credit card disputes now. Stay away! read more

this bar is a god damn oasis. the folks that work here and the regulars are awesome - they are warm, hospitable, and down to earth. i came here for a few hours before my flight after taking the bar exam, and drank my stress away with these great folks. if i ever return to stl. i will stop by. read more

this bar and staff are GREAT! On Sunday, we had a gathering after my uncles funeral. It was short notice for the staff. I went by on Sat to get the menu etc... confirmed. On sunday we had last minute change in plans. I called and asked them if they could get our stuff ready 1 hr ahead of time...THEY DID IT! We even added additional food half way through! The staff was WONDERFUL. Food hot and yummy! "Back in the day" this was a hang out and I plan when we are in St Louis to frequent! Good food, drinks and the staff and "regulars" wonderful!!! read more
