I took automatic lessons around Autumn 2024 with the founder of the company. During one lesson, I struggled a lot with reverse bay parking. Instead of helping me, he just got increasingly frustrated and told me to do it again over and over. This was only in my first few hours of driving, which knocked my confidence a lot. Near the end of my lessons I still struggled with it, and he accused me of intentionally getting it wrong. He also would unnecessarily and unexpectedly use dual controls when he was annoyed with me. One time when I was parking in an empty car park I missed the bay he wanted me to park in. He slammed his dual control brakes and told me I missed the bay. This again damaged my confidence with driving, and made lessons a very uncomfortable experience. He was quite panicky when I made mistakes. When initially driving on roundabouts, I often didn't change lanes in time which would make him visibly anxious and he would shout at me to move. Whilst I get that I put us both in a dangerous situation, him panicking so much made the situation worse. It also made me more nervous at roundabouts, leading to multiple situations like this. I gave a 2 star review instead of 1 because I did end up passing first time and I can't speak for the other instructors. However, I feel like my confidence with driving has been negatively impacted by his teaching. I was initially excited to drive, but ended up hating driving and haven't bought a car as I want to avoid driving as much as possible. If you want to learn automatic, I would advise you avoid Yes Driving School as you're highly likely to get this instructor. read more

Just wanted to change instructor. I was told I'd have someone phone me back. Ended up being the head of the company who had apparently taken it very personally and went on to speak to me like a child and made me feel I was under an investigation. Left me trembling and in tears. Never a good thing for a company. I would never go with this company again, not in any life. read more

I have chosen Yes Driving School because they have offered me a semi-intensive course at great value taylored to my needs. I booked 20 double lessons and 2 brush-up lessons before the test and passed 1st time with 6 minor faults! Amazing! Before I started I was sooo nervous and never thought I'd get anywhwere, but my instructor put me at ease right from the beginning. He was very reliable and more like a good friend, we had some good laughs together :)! I also loved fancy green learner car, if I had the money, I'd get a new Ford Fiesta myself :)! I was driving along the Upton bypass on Sunday about 400 yards from the current roadworks where two lanes merge into one, and rather than allowing me to carry along the outside lane a driving instructor from Yes! pulled in front of me and blocked my path. Then, on reaching the turn off to Upton the instructor moved across from the outside lane and travelled up the slip road without even indicating. This action only serves to extend the traffic queue and ignore the 'merge in turn' recommendation in the Highway Code. Very poor from an instructor and not one I would choose to teach my children. read more
