I've never encountered another physician who really takes the time to listen and engage with us like Dr Rubin does. She's extremely compassionate, caring and competent. She has referred us to several specialists along the way and we have been happy with each of those. She helped us through an episode of depression with my son, and issues with my visiting mother who's health concerns were complicated by dementia. Young or old you feel like you are the only person that matters when you are with her during and after an exam.

I have had my fair share of less-than-thrilling doctors where it seemed they couldn't care less…read moreabout me or my ailment or concern, but I couldn't be happier with Dr. Mitzi Rubin and her new practice! I started seeing her years ago at Kennesaw Family Physicians. It's purely by luck that I found her. She recently split from them and formed WellStar Family Medicine as an independent practitioner. Her new office is small, seemingly by design, and personally, I LOVE it! I hate to feel like I am being shuffled about through office staff, nurses, and a doctor who only has 5 minutes to see me. All of the staff I encountered here are very friendly, courteous and seem to enjoy their work. It's so refreshing when people are genuinely friendly and caring, especially in the medical field when you're one in thousands. Her new office has all the latest equipment and technology (PCs in the exam rooms and no paper charts!). I have always found Dr. Rubin to be extremely friendly and personable, as well as knowledgable. She is a fantastic listener, and is never dismissive of any of my health concerns. I sincerely hope her new practice is a success, as I can't see myself going anywhere else.

I've been going here forever. Dr. Patel is my favorite. But ever since they changed tithe…read morescheduling people, where they are not located in the same building, they have not been great. And yesterday this last just gaslit me into thinking my paperwork was ready when I asked over and over again for her to verify my paperwork was ready. Even the nurse messaged me on mychart saying it was ready. This Pape is for my physical exam for school. And they gave me the paperwork from last year !!!!!! Nobody looked at the date. My dr didn't even sign it this year. What is going on with communication here ???? They were rude to me because I was continually asking if they had it right and they didn't. I turned my paperwork in Monday for it to be filled out. It is now Friday and I have the paperwork from last year's appointment........... get your communication together. And no one e er responds to mychart. I highly doubt anyone even spoke to my dr to get this checked. Dr patel is great but the people scheduling and even Lauren the nurse gaslit me.... and never checked on what I really need. Didn't even read or listen to my messages correctly.

My scheduling experience with Wellstar was an unmitigated disaster…read more I scheduled an appointment with a neurologist in North Fulton for August 27, 2026, based specifically on the availability of physicians experienced in treating Guillain-Barré syndrome. Several days later, Central Scheduling called to tell me they had made an error and scheduled me with the wrong doctor. Although several appropriate specialists were available within the practice, I was told the next appointment would not be until October. Because I needed care sooner, I canceled and made other arrangements. Later, I received another call saying an appointment had become available, only to discover it was again with the same incorrect doctor. I declined, but I continued receiving emails instructing me to prepare for the supposedly upcoming appointment. Trying to correct the problem was nearly as frustrating as the original mistake. Hold times were unbelievably long, sometimes approaching 60 minutes and typically multiple holds since I have other work related calls. I cannot use the callback option because I make my living on the phone. After three days of trying, I finally reached someone and explained the situation. Despite that, I am still receiving appointment updates. Wellstar has some excellent physicians, but getting through the scheduling process is an extraordinarily high hurdle. This was not simply confusing. It cost me hours of time and created unnecessary aggravation during every interaction with scheduling. In my experience, the scheduling system was a complete train wreck and prevented me from accessing the specialized care I was seeking. I contacted another large healthcare orgization in Atlanta and got an immediate appointment, was treated, and home in a matter of days. Hold time - ZERO

I just had my annual physical and it felt like I was the only patient he had. He addressed all of my concerns and took time to examine everything carefully. He's also a great doctor that is sympathetic to "floxies...." which I am one. A Floxie is a person adversely affected by fluoroquinolone toxicity. He truly understands and is there to help. Oh, and his entire staff was friendly and helpful to me. I'm happy to have found a great practice with a doctor I trust.
