I loved my salmon wrap! Such a great deal with it being $15 only and the wrap is huge. I could easily split this dish into two meals. Sofra grill also gave me a copy of their menu and they have plenty of yummy dishes. I'm interested in their flatbreads for next time.
Sat 2/15/25 tried out Sofra Grill in SSF. I don't like driving far so I took Bart to San Bruno Bart Station and walked 20min, 1 mile. Once I got inside I told lady I was here for Yelp event, was asked dine-in or takeout? I said dine-in. I picked salmon wrap. Waited a short time while they made the food. Small shop with good amount of seating, also saw 1 table for outdoor dining My salmon wrap was really good! Lightly crispy outside, lots of salmon inside, pickled veggies on the side. Toom sauce is great! I asked for the Yelp bag after, they ran out. Got Yelp utensil instead. One unisex bathroom in the back. I would go back if I'm in SSF! Thanks Yelp, Paolo B., & Sofra Grill.
Finally had a chance to try Sofra Grill! Thank you yelp for this experience. I ordered the falafel wrap to go. It was ready within 15 mins and came with a nice yelp utensil travel set. The falafel wrap was fresh and toasted to perfection. The falafel could have been more flavorful as I thought it was a little on the bland side. The garlic and hot sauce helped to spicen it up. I was eyeing the baklava but decided to try them next time. I will come back to give Sofra Grill another try to taste the other menu items.
If you want something different and fun - the lamb shank dish! it came wheeled on a cart to my table because it was so heavy. Then the server cuts up the breading which looks like a pie topped with sesame seeds, and what's inside? Once it's opened up it's the lamb shank and rice, onions, lemon, tomato. I was not expecting that delightful service I also tried the steak wrap, it was ok for me. Personally I like it more saucy so I wish there was more sauce to go with the meat and everything inside, would give it more flavor Had to wait a long time for the kunafa dessert. I checked in with the server again after a while and she asked if I already ordered it through her earlier, which I confirmed yes I mentioned it at the beginning of the meal. This is made with layers of thin, shredded pastry dough soaked in syrup. SO GOOD! if you have room for dessert
We have been looking for Mazra alternative for sometimes. So, Soffra was a timely outing for us. In the times when eating out has becoming soooo expensive. Soffra was a great find. I had a better falafel wraps in the past. But, mine was satisfying. The falafels were tasty and perfectly cooked. There's something missing, but I could not put my fingers on. Hubby ordered lamb. It came inside a dough blanket that turn to a tasty treat. Hard to explain! But, please look at picture. I dont eat lamb, so, I cannot personally attest to the taste. But, Hubby devoured the meat and raved how succulent and tasty it was. He wants to try the lamb chops next time! Here's the star of the day: Baklava Walnuts. Please make a note that we are not baklava folks. Usually they are sickly sweet and sticky. Soffra's was sticky too. But, they heated the yummy morsels and for some reasons it elevated the pastries. I think it's not as sweet as others. I wish they serve not Peet' coffee (LOL). I'm team Peet's, but today I did not order because it's Peet's. Because, in my head Peet's would not go with Baklava. But, regular coffee would (ha). Would we return? Absolutely! Had already referred Soffra to friends. Next stop.... mixed grilled meat and shrimps.
Another great community experience Paolo! Called in my order and stopped in about 15 minutes later. Made sure to come a little earlier in the day since parking can be a little tricky. Got lucky with a front spot! The employees were super nice and quick to prepare the order. Also noticed that despite it being early, the restaurant was moderately full. Couldn't help but look at all the different dishes being served and they all looked delicious! Even though I didn't eat my wrap right away, it was still delicious an hour later. Generous portions and super flavorful. The garlic spread perfectly complimented the wrap. Thanks again for the great experience Paolo!
I was so excited to try this spot and I'm glad I was able to because of Yelp, Paolo, & Sofra Grill! The steak wrap tasted savory and flavorful from the marinated steak! It was bigger than I expected so I literally ate one half for lunch and the other half for a snack pre dinner. The location is great because it's next to other businesses so parking isn't difficult. This is a great gem in SSF! I will be back to try the other wraps as well!
I completely forgot I've been to Sofra grill once before! We thought it was a great spot then and this yelp elite event proved to me again what a gem this place is. I got the Kofte wrap and that first bite HIT! The spiced beef married so well with the sauce and pickled veggies inside. Recommend to eat it sooner rather than later as the bread starts to get soggy. They also gave me some mini tubs of their garlic white sauce which kick the Kofte wrap up another notch. The garlic sauce is pure magic. We were greeted by a female employee who happily showed us what was available through the promotion as well as explained some of the desserts available in the see through case at the counter. I heard the words tangerine and pomegranate and was very intrigued and was also loving the amount of pistachios used in a lot of the desserts. I have to save the baklava for another day as I already knew I wanted a kunafa to take home. This one is also better if you dine in as they will add ice cream on top! Also a killer combo. Thank you Paolo and Yelp for organizing a great event for us. Sofra grill is a top notch spot! Loved every bite!

The cashier was super friendly and food was out in less than 10 minutes. It's a casual place with tables inside and looked like a great place to hang out with friends and family. Everything was so fresh and tasty.
Thanks sofa grill and Paolo for hosting this event! We called in before going to the restaurant to avoid the wait. The restaurant was crowded when we arrived on Friday evening, great for them! The parking is hard since it's a mix of residential and commercial area but we found a parking about 2 blocks away, short walk! I had the beef wrap, the portion is huge!! The wrap is so crispy and the meat is flavorful. I like the hot sauce and garlic sauce quite a lot too!
Thank you Sofra Grill, Yelp, and Paulo for this great experience! What a way to start the day. We came hungry and left well fed and happy. The food the amazing and the service exceptional. We got the beef/lamb and salmon wrap with a lentil soup and we were stuffed. I love how the wraps were grilled to a perfect crisp! The place is clean and cozy with dark brown tones. The high ceiling makes it look spacious and inviting. I'm totally coming back to try all the other items and desserts!
Sofra Grill has the best wraps! I love the pickles and the chicken (flavorful and juicy!) in my chicken shawarma wrap. The portions are generous and pricing reasonable. The hubby got a baba-ganoush dip (that came with 2 pita) and a lentil soup. Everything was delish! Pro-tip: ask for the garlic sauce and hot sauce to enjoy with your dishes. Service was friendly and quick. On this Saturday night around 8:20 pm, we found parking easily in the front of the restaurant, and we ordered and finished eating in less than 30 mins. Thanks to Paolo and the folks at Sofra Grill for a great event. Love that we are able to come with our friends and family.
Thanks to Sofra Grill, Yelp, and Paolo for a wonderful event where I had the flexibility to come and experience them either lunch or dinner. I liked the tip to call in first as that's what I did. There was slight problem with them hearing my order due to the loudness of the background but managed to get it in. The kafte wrap had a wonderful mix of veggies, ground meat, and the white sauce. I love the crunch of the wrap with the mix of everything inside. It was tasty and still warm when I got home. Quick service and tasty options. I paid for a chicken shwatma plate and that was also tasty with good flavor.
Soffra Grille for the win! The food, the atmosphere, the staff were all stellar. I literally rolled out of there stuffed. The baklava for dessert was one of the best I've ever had. It was so flakey and not overly sweet. Amazing Yelp event and you can feel the energy as we all enjoyed out meal. read more
Thanks Paolo and Sofra Grill for the invitation. First off, I love an easy parking restaurant to make life so easy to get there with lots of available street parking. Staff are super friendly and made the experience so easy. The steak wrap was delicious with flavorful sauces. The meat was well cooked and love that the wrap is thinner which they make it nice and toasty on the outside. The fresh veggies and pickles inside the wrap give it a nice crunch. In addition, the portions are so generous. I would recommend to my friends to come here again on my own! read more

Came here on a Saturday afternoon and found parking right in front! The cashier was super nice. I asked her which wraps she recommended, and she mentioned the chicken, steak, and Adana kebab wraps were popular. I decided to get the Adana kebab wrap to go. It's made with minced lamb and beef, seasoned with their signature spices. The meat was perfectly seasoned, though it wasn't spicy. Combined with the fresh veggies and their housemade sauce, it was delicious! I have a nut allergy, and they assured me the wrap had no nuts. I appreciated that they even double-checked for me! The to-go order took about 10 minutes. They gave me a to-go bag along with a Yelp utensil case, which was so cute! We're planning to dine in soon to try more dishes. The food what else! Mediterranean at it's best! I've had the steak wrap (consist of onion and cucumber bits) for to go. Called in and they told me after 15 minutes the food is ready, which it does! The place has a limited seating 10 tables to the most. Parking is by the street. The garlic sauce/red sauce gives the steak wraps the distinct flavor. Thank you Sofra Grill and Paulo for making this to happen! I enjoyed the steak wrap and will try other food the next time. read more

Headed over to the restaurant at around 5 pm and my mom and I decided to eat in at the restaurant! Most of the tables were still free and the inside is pretty modern with dark wooden fixtures. The staff were very efficient, giving us all our utensils, water and dishes almost one after another. Falafel - These were so crispy on the outside with a coating of spice and the inside was so soft and moist. One of my favorite falafel textures and it was perfect when eaten with the tzatziki sauce that was creamy, cooling and slightly sour. Garlic Parmesan Fries - Fries are usually so heavy and difficult to finish but these were very crunchy and light. I didn't taste or notice much garlic flavor but liked the fresh parmesan on top. Steak Wrap - The portion of this was massive! The steak was cooked and marinated well and balanced with the creamy sauce and all the vegetables like cucumbers, tomatoes, onions that added freshness and crunchy textures. All the flavors paired together so nicely with the crisp outside wrap. We definitely had some leftovers from the generous portion sizes but really enjoyed getting to try this new restaurant in the SSF area and are planning when to come back already. Great experience! First time trying Sofra and as a fellow Middle Eastern (which means I can be picky). I placed a pick up order for the Adana wrap, and my coworker got a Chicken plate. I also ordered the knafe dessert and pomegranate lemonade. Flavors were excellent! Service was quick and friendly. I would have preferred more vinegar/tart in my wrap (long pickles or picked turnip) as the sauce was a bit on the sweeter side. I also didn't find the Adana to be spicy at all - zero spice. All in all I would recommend Sofa for a quick tasty middle eastern bite. Thank you Yelp for the utensils!!! read more

Yelp Community Experience: SOFRA GRILL, South San Francisco. First timer at SOFRA GRILL in SSF tucked away on Hazelwood, off El Camino Real. Sofra Grill is a small, neat, eatery cozily decorated with custom items from Turkey and Egypt offering Mediterranean Turkish appetizers, salads, wraps, and entrees, desserts with a unique focus on their speciality baked flatbreads, like Lahmacun, Zaatar, Muhammara, Kofta & Cheese, Sujuk & Cheese, Musakhan. Or go for the gold, SOFRA BREAD w/sesame & Nigella seeds! For Indoor dining there's five tables so make sure you get there early for the busy dinner hour. Fabiola was warm, welcoming and helpful with questions on the menu. Order takeout at the counter w/Fabiola on the left as you walk in or call in your order for pick up. Parking on the street could be difficult but there's parking in the small mall across the street. Not sure if there's a time limit there. Hours: T-W 11AM-9PM, Th 1PM-9PM, F-Su 11AM-9PM | Closed Mondays Ordered for takeout: GRILLED SALMON WRAP - herbs & garlic seasoned salmon w/tomatoes, Persian cucumbers, house made pickles, onions, garlic and house sauce. This delicious wrap divided into two nicely griddled wraps, could be shared between two light eaters but though deceptively small (not) it can be satisfying for a hearty eater as well. That said, wish there was a bit more salmon in there. The salmon was tasty! Would order this again for a quick meal or go for the STEAK or CHICKEN SHAWARMA next time! | Note: The wrap was compliments of Yelp & Sofra Grill for this event. MEZE PLATTER - I always go for the Meze Platter because it's good sampling of delectable appetizers like FALAFEL, HUMMUS, MUHAMMURA, BABA GANOUSH, DOLMA, and LABNEH. The Meze Platter can be a meal on its own. Especially appreciated the freshly house baked pita bread! SOFRA GRILL is a very nice find in the area for Turkish cuisine. You can see the love and care in the well thought out decor and the scrumptious menu by Chef-owner Azad Sinjary. Next visit, I will definitely delve more into the flatbread menu like LAHMACUN, ZAATAR or the house bakery best, SOFRA BREAD. Or KUNAFA for dessert. Came to the red badge celebration here and it was so much fun, I came here for a previous yelp event before they opened and the food was delicious then, so I knew it was going to be just as good. So since I came here before I know were to park. There was a Yelp person outside the event and that was helpful since we were not going to the restaurant part. I got signed in and then picked a table. I met with some of my yelp friends and met some new ones. Paolo was there to immediately welcome us and tell us what to do like get appetizers and drinks. the swag was nice (it always is). When the food came out Paolo told us to get in line but not to rush because they were making new rounds and so nothing would run out. The food was delicious and we even got to bring some home. I brought some for my mom and she LOVED IT. she asked if we could go soon to eat there. We met with the owner and he was so humble and nice. During the whole event they had music playing and it was great. It was a nice celebration for the Young yelpers. im glad we came to this location, great food and great friends. read more
Today is the first time I try Sofra Grill , the Mediterranean restaurant. The menu is extensive. It has dessert , salad, side dishes , main course like wrap, kabob of chicken , beef , lamb and seafood . Service is good and they got my order ready in 10 minutes ! Everything is hot and flavorful. This was my first ever Peninsula YCE! I came by on a Saturday shortly after they opened and decided to dine in. Received a friendly greeting from the staff and owner. Chose the beef and lamb wrap for my complimentary wrap and ordered the soup of the day which was lentil soup. The soup came out first within 10 minutes followed by the wrap a couple minutes later. That's quick! I wasn't expecting such a big bowl of soup. If I wasn't sharing it with my partner I would have taken it home as the wrap itself was also generous. The soup warmed up my soul and the thick bread that came with it was nice. My partner who isn't a carbohydrate fan even took a piece home because we couldn't finish it. I really enjoyed the wrap, it was tasty and was even better with the hot sauce and garlic sauce. Though I found the hot sauce to be very mild. The garlic sauce had a big punch of garlic. So you'll want to have a breath mint afterwards. The crispy grilled flatbread was also a memorable feature of the wrap. If you are a fan of sweets they have baklava which I was told is made in house. Thank you Yelp Peninsula Manger, Paolo B for letting me into this event in South San Francisco for there are a lot of great restaurants here that I love to explore. I just found another restaurant to add to my growing list of restaurants to eat in South San Francisco and beyond. :) As I was taking photos, the owner said she's taking my photo without asking. lol Then I said, can I take a photo of you and your lovely desserts? He said sure. We talked for a while and his photo is on the take out menu. He gave me the Yelp away reusable Utensils as they ran out of Yelp reusable bags. The little restaurant is on the small block of restaurants between the Smart and Final and near the bowling alley. Neighborhood parking was relatively easy. I been to at least 4 places in this small area, great bakeries and Sees's candy headquarters factory right across the street where you can't miss it. Also worker was putting up the Specials sign on Saturday and food on there looked yummy. Mediterranean food is always one of my favorites as it's healthy and light. I have been a fan of lamb and beef so logically I ordered the Adana Kabab skewered spicy minced lamb & beef with their signature seasoning that comes with tomatoes, Persian cucumbers, pickles, onions, garlic sauce & house sauce and I ordered the SOFRA Bread which is freshly baked sesame & Nigella seeds. They made it quick about 15 minutes wait and the waiter brought it outside to me where I was waiting. Soft and tender meal easy to chew, I got no complaints, he also gave extra sauce and hot sauce I with the meal. I would like to come back and try their desserts like the baklava and the Kunafa w/ vanilla bean ice cream which looks good. And try their entrees as well. It was yummy in my tummy. read more

Thanks so much Sophra Grill and Paolo! I came on Friday for lunch and preordered over the phone. I got the salmon wrap and got my wife a lamb shank on the side. The food was ready for us when we arrived and they allowed us to sit and eat at the restaurant even though we ordered takeout which was nice of them since they had an almost full restaurant. The food was some of the best Mediterranean food we have eaten in the Bay Area! The wrap was just crispy enough without being too hard to chew. I was also shocked by how much food there was for the wrap. The salmon was very flavorful and moist along with the dressing. The lamb shank was tender and flavorful and was balanced well by the rice. What a great find! Authentic halal flavors and big portions! We got the chicken and salmon wraps. The babaganoush was really yummy too! While we were waiting for our food the table next to us got this cool lamb chop inside a puff bread and a huge protein platter. We kept asking waiter what the cool dishes coming out were. Another nice experience on the peninsula. The staff at Sofra Grill were very friendly. Along with my chicken shawarma wrap, I ordered another for my husband, fries, and some baklava and Turkish delight for later. I didn't realize how big the he wrap was and probably could have just shared one with my sweetheart. It is Valentine's Day after all. The fries were ok, I'm more of a skinny fries person but these were cooked well. The baklava were good as well. I want to come back and try their chicken soup, beef shank and lamb shank. I've been to Sofra Grill several times, so when I saw they were hosting a Yelp Elite Event, I was excited to join in. I stopped by in the late afternoon and ordered the kofte wrap to go. The young man who took my order mentioned it would take about 10 minutes to prepare. My wrap was placed in a reusable Yelp bag with a travel utensil set. The wrap itself is long and skinny, large enough to share, though I did wish there was a bit more meat inside. The side of garlic sauce is absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this place! read more

Phoned in my order and was quoted 20 minutes. Went to go pickup my order and it was a Friday afternoon at 3pm and the place was packed! Food was so good even though I was not able to eat it right away. Also grabbed some baklava while I was there and it was the perfect sweet street for after the steak wrap. Would love to come again with a big group so I can try everything on the menu! read more

So excited to hear that a Mediterranean restaurant is located conveniently close to me! When I entered, I was greeted right away and felt welcomed. They provided a menu for me to choose a wrap from for the Yelp event, and I waited around 10-15 minutes for my order. I ordered a Chicken Shawarma Wrap to-go, and it came with a Yelp reusable travel utensil kit. When I ate the Chicken Shawarma at home with the garlic sauce, I was so impressed with the portion, freshness, and quality of everything! I'm so impressed with Sofra Grill. They are breaking new life into Mediterranean fast casual! I got the adana kebab, fries, and the salmon wrap. The lavish wrap was perfectly toasted and so fresh! Usually I find it kind of dry and stale. The fries were perfect and seasoned well and oh so fried. I wish I was closer otherwise I'd be going back so many more times.
