This service was recommended by my hotel, which was about an hour from Cancun Airport. I had no difficulty making a reservation for shuttle service, but when I got to the airport, it was a little challenging to find them - there was a man with our name on a sign waiting, as promised, but there were hundreds of services holding signs, and the sign in question had a dozen other names on it, as well as a different company name, making it a little hard to spot. Still we found them, and the guy told us it would be about fifteen minutes for our van to arrive - which would have been fine, if fifteen minutes was actually fifteen minutes. It was more like forty, which isn't quite what you want to deal with after ten hours of flights and layovers (and Mexico customs/immigration, yay). Eventually, though, the van arrived, and we were on our way with four other passengers. It was an entertaining ride. First, we had to pull off the road abruptly when one of the passengers got carsick. Not anyone's fault, but something you remember. Then, the driver had trouble finding the first hotel on the list, and drove the van onto a pedestrian-only road. The pedestrians were livid, banging on the vehicle and shouting at us, and the policeman who pulled us over seemed unimpressed as well, and wrote out a ticket. What should have been an hour long trip ended up being more than two and a half hours, though at least the time spent was memorable. Seeing the other Yelp reviews, I was worried about the return ride to the airport, since several people complained about no-shows. They do tell you to confirm 24 hours ahead, and what time to be in the lobby. Our driver was there about 15 minutes after that time, which was loads of time to get to the airport - they do ask the flight time, and build the schedule to allow plenty of time to get there. I asked at the hotel and they said this is normal. The other pickup in our van had already taken a cab to the airport rather than wait. The driver on that ride was friendly and chatty, with pretty decent English. It was a pleasant trip, and we made our flight with loads of time to spare. read more

I think this is the same company as Super Shuttle so I would put the same comment here. Void this company!!! This is a RIPOFF! If you happen to choose them like we did as being supid by then and regretful by now, you would end up paying four or five times of a regular price. They would lie to you that your trip to your destination is two/three times than it really needs so that they can "justify" their price a little bit. They cannot even gurantee the time for the pick-up on your return either - canclation only gets 80% back. What choose them? They didn't show up! When I called them they told me there is no conformation for me but if I come at the airport we will give me the full refund. We've used Yellow Transfers several times for our annual Tulum retreat. Do not use this service. There service is very misleading. You believe you are booking with Supershuttle, but sorta not. My fiancé and I booked a private ride service with them to and from our resort. While booking we told Omar we were interested in a Cateran ride to. Well, of course he could help with that as well. If you signed up for the Catalan excisions , you could also get 80% of you private taxi money back when you participate in a 90 minute presentation. Well, I already suspect this was a time share sale and thought I would see what they have to offer. They picked us up at our hotel, drove us to Crystal resort, offered us breakfast. Breakfast was part of the deal. We declined the breakfast and was told that was part of the presentation, so we said ok. We had juice and coffee and the woman talked about vacations and prices for an hour in a half. When we left breakfast, she said the presentation had ended. So , I asked if we could see the rooms. The room looked more like motel 6. I was not impressed and I told her. She then escorted us out o a room for a marketing video, by now we had been there 3 hours. We told her we were not interested and to give us the catamaran deal and the money promised. All of a sound she tells us the presentation was not over, we still have time to go. We argue time we had been there and how much time was left for the presentation. Needless to say, we were never given the 80% back and we canceled the excursion after finding we had to get our own transportation. This only began the nightmare. We decided to stay an extra night at our resort due to our flight. We we to the concierges tour resort and called "supershuttle " yellow transportation to change our pickup to the following day. The man on the phone suggested a pick up time and we agreed. The next morning we are awaken at 3am for transportation we changed to the following day. The drive put us as a no show and the company claim they knew nothing of a schedule change. So we are out of money and time fooling around with the people at the airport arranging ride. Take a clue from someone who was suckered----when you go for transportation at Cancun airport---co to the desk and do not, I REPEAT DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THE PEOPLE WHO WALK UP TO YOU ASKING IF YOU NEED TRANSPORTATION. Upon arrival in Cancun, I needed a taxi to my resort. I went to one of the stands that I thought was reputable because it was advertised as SuperShuttle and I've used their service before. However, it was not SuperShuttle; it was Yellow Transfers. Made my purchase, was told what time I'd be picked up, and went to get my shuttle. At the shuttle stand where they direct you to whichever shuttle you're supposed to be on, I was told I had a concierge for my trip, to call him the next day, and he would also confirm my pick-up time even though I was given a general pick-up time when I made my purchase. Two days later, I attempt to call and text my concierge, but received no answer. The day before my departure, with the help of the hotel, I called the phone number on brochure, which also advertised Nexus tours. The phone number was for Nexus and they had no record of my trip. Then the hotel called SuperShuttle and they found and confirmed my reservation, but I never got a time. My whole purpose in calling was to see if I could get a later pick-up time because when you're only 15 minutes from the airport, you don't need to leave the resort the 3.5 hours before departure; it would've been nice to have another hour. Because I had trouble contacting them, I skipped my pick up and went to the airport with my friend. After returning, I complained about their service to SuperShuttle, who bounced me to Yellow Transfers. These companies/partnerships send you in circles. Recommendation to all - take a service to the hotel, but get a cab to take you back to the airport. It was cheaper fare in general, and cheaper for 2 of us, than a single fare if riding with them. read more

I'm not sure why the rest of the reviews are poor for Yellow Transfers. I luckily had a great experience using them for my transfer from Cancun to Tulum. They picked me up exactly on time from airport and the hotel on my departure day. The drivers were also very sweet and nice and I had no issues at all with them! So unprofessional, I was overcharged and it's been three months since my trip and I have not received my refund yet. The absolute fuckin worst. Never again. Please don't book them. We paid for a round trip ticket for a leg and an arm at the airport, which I suggest getting your transfers online. At the day of our pick up from our hotel, we suggested for a 3 pm pick up for our 7 pm flight. They said they'll pick us up at 4:20 pm. We couldn't get another time slot. Really disorganized. No sense of customer service. It doesn't matter what level you pay, unless you rent a full private van with 5 other people you will most likely wait min 1 hours until they fill a minivan. Get on an ADO bus instead. Much cheaper, less wait and you're treated better. read more

Did not pick me up from the hotel to the airport even though I had already prepaid for the ride and had a confirmation. I have been trying to get a refund ever since. I tried going to their counter at the airport, visited their web site and called customer services six times so far. I have been trying for two weeks (and counting) but they have not given me my money back. At this point I doubt I will ever see that money again! It was initially simple to book using their mobile site, however, all my information was incorrect once I completed the Paypal. Then, I spent another 40 min on the phone to get it corrected. At this point, I was very reluctant about them showing since it had been such a hassle to book it. As expected, they did not show. We waiting over an hour and finally had concierge to call the number and have 25 min on the phone with them they advised someone would show up 20 min later. We arrived in Cancun and found this company's stand right past the customs area. We showed them our hotel reservation information and booked a round trip shuttle with them. When we were dropped off at our hotel we found they took us to the WRONG resort and left us. The concierge at that resort contacted them but they refused to come and pick us up and take us to the CORRECT resort. They claimed we gave them the wrong information so tough luck. Since I handed them the resort reservation I'm not sure how WE were responsible but none the less we had to pay for a taxi to take us to the correct resort. WORST experience ever You will have to wait a LOT when you get to the airport. We scheduled our arrival and departure time days before our trip. We have been waiting more than 45 minutes at arrival in Cancun to finally get into a shuttle: once in, it took us more than 1h15 to get to the hotel. WORSE: for the departure, you have to reschedule your transportation at the hotel even if you already did it online before. Even with this, the driver never showed up. When we arrive in Cancun I booked RT for $60 I was given a receipt for the return and a number to call for any changes. Going to the hotel was no problem the driver was nice. The day before my return I called the number on my receipt I was told everything was confirmed for 9:30 am. On the day of my return I was at the hotel lobby at 9:00am until 10am no one showed, the hotel security suggested that I should call, I called the representative said my driver was out there for 15 min waiting no one showed up I said that's a lie cause I been waiting out here for an hour, he said well you have to book another reservation and pay more money, I said no showed and I have to be at the airport before I miss my flight. The representative said there is nothing he can do for me. I then had to take a cab with my 3 kids and paid $25.00 I was better off just paying one way to the hotel. Do not use this service. Right when you arrive in Cancun they will politely greet you and ask you where you're going and walk you over to the sign-up. Do not use their service, use a taxi instead. Use anything instead. They are scammers. I was stupid enough to fall for their service. For two of us they charged us $70 for the way there and they promised half off on the way back next week, which I accepted. $105 there and back for two seemed like a decent deal comparable to taxi prices. And at the time I thought this service seemed more legitimate than a taxi. The way there was just fine, didn't have to wait too long, except a little slow since they stop by many hotels. The way back was a different story. They told me to check-in a day before our departure date. Which I did, and I set up a time and everything seemed like it would go alright. The morning of the departure I just felt like being cautious (luckily I did) so I gave them a call to make sure my name was on the pick up list and everything. I called and found out it was not, and the very rude guy was saying that I cancelled the service at the same time yesterday that I actually confirmed it and got a pick up time. I told him it wasn't true and he just said, well sir right here it says you cancelled it so I can't do anything about it. After a while on the phone (a couple hours before my flight) my call finally got transferred to someone that said they actually did get my reservation but apparently there was a glitch in the system and there isn't enough space for us on the shuttles. The lady said she would refund my money. The amount she said they would refund was the amount for the trip back, or the, half-price amount, which was the only thing making the service worth the money. How convenient for them. A week later I still haven't received my refund. They didn't compensate and offer a different way to get to the airport or anything, they just said F you. I had to find a taxi, luckily I called ahead so I had time to set one up. And if I never called them then I would show up to the shuttle to realize that I'm not on the list and then scramble around to find a different way to get to the airport. read more

The guy on the phone we called from the hotel said because their car broke down on the road that's why no one would be able to come pick us up. He said we would get a full refund when we arrived at the airport. We ended up taking a taxi to the airport and when we got to the departure level, I asked one of their guys where their office was. That guy just said to me "NO ENGLISH NO ENGLISH"! He knew why I was looking for the office that's why he didn't want to answer me! Fortunately with the help of the other taxi drivers (I finally heard from these drivers and the people who work at the airport that this company has a very bad reputation. 20-30 people are coming for refund daily!). They are doing this scam constantly to the first time Cancun travelers like us! I found their office and their "so called" supervisors came to "help me out" but they were telling me a total different story. They said no one came to pick us up because they input something wrong into their booking system. They said they could give me a full refund in US$ if I did that online through their web site. I just did but found out it is a very tricky web site. I am still not sure will I be able to get my money back. This experience ended my wonderful Cancun trip unhappily. Set up a different ride before you get there. they will take your money as they are the "only" taxi allowed to sit at the airport & then make you jump through hoops to get back. 150$ round trip for a 20 min taxi ride is terrible. then if you are at the Oasis Palm resort, there is a Caty Ayala that will try her best not to get you a ride back or even care enough to talk to you. Beware of SUPER SHUTTLE at the airport. They have the BLUE VANS. They will offer you an amazing price for your transfers. Give you vouchers for all of your transfers, but then neglect to put them into their computer. When you call to request a pick up time, they don't have a record and don't honor the transfer. Our credit card bill read YELLOW TRANSFERS AS THE COMPANY!! We paid them $130 via credit card to transfer us from The Cancun Airport to our hotel in Cancun, from our hotel in Cancun to our hotel in Playa del Carmen and then from Playa del Carmen back to the Cancun Airport. They took us to our Cancun resort. When we called for a ride to our Playa del Carmen resort, they got mad that we didn't give them 24 hours and didn't come get us until 6:00 pm. The paperwork said nothing about a 24 hour notice! Then when we called to get a ride to the airport, they screwed us completely. Of course, it was the most expensive trip. CURRENT TAXI RATES PER OUR RESORT: $44 from Playa to Cancun Airport, $40 from Cancun to Playa and $25 from the Cancun Airport to the Cancun Hotel Zone. Taxi's are way overcharging American's for Taxi services. It is almost HALF PRICE if you pay in PASOS!! EXCHANGE SOME MONEY AT THE AIRPORT. GOODS AT THE STORES ARE CHEAPER IN PASOS TOO! This service was booked at the airport, upon arrival. Getting to the hotel was okay, the driver Asuncion was great. We did have to wait for the bus to be full, the whole airport thing in Mexico is just disorganized (not blaming this company for that). We were told to book the round trip together, and to call them the day of departure to indicate the time-i had already told them the time. The day of departure we called early and were told that they had determined our pick up from the hotel was at 10:45am, because they weren't available later (my flight was at 4pm). I told them I needed the pick up at 1pm or later. Jonathan continued to blame me for not calling the day before to confirm my time. Then he said to make up my mind to either take it at 10:45 or cancel right there. If i cancelled i was going to lose 20-30% of what i paid. Which i did lose 20%. I was very disappointed, upset, and i didn't know what to do in Mexico. I speak Spanish so the language was not a barrier, they were rude and careless. Finally i found a taxi which took me for way less, was very attentive, safe, and on time. This is not a good company.
