Our local tour guide recommended us to this place for their steak. We came here and ordered their sliced beef with arugula ( Tagliata ) which is the same cut as Florentine steak. It was the most tender steak we got in Florence (we also tried 2 other restaurants). We originally only ordered 1, and everyone thought it was so good that we ordered another. We also got their clam pasta and pizza which were not terrible but I would recommend just getting the steak here !! read more

Normally I would not go to an Italian restaurant named "yellow bar" however the yelp reviews said otherwise. We were looking for a decent place with some good pasta and from the photos and reviews this place looks good. I was very wrong .... oh so wrong. Service was almost as bed as the food. We ordered drinks and an appetizer and the server forgot to get our drinks then I'm pretty sure he left our bruschetta sitting for a while as all of the bread was soggy under the tomatoes and had zero flavor. We finally ordered a pizza and the carbonara. The pizza came out and was sub par.. my wife and I sat there for about 10 mins waiting for her meal and our server finally came back and realized he forgot to put in her order. We ate a little bit of the pizza which was also soggy and cold while we waited. Finally the carbonara came out and was horrible. I have had some bad meals in my life but this may have been the worst meal and experience. Do yourself a favor and eat somewhere else ... anywhere else. Please. read more

We visited twice in our three day visit to Florence and fell in love with the homemade fresh pasta. Pasta pasta pasta. We tried a pizza and also a salad but the pasta definitely was the winner. Service can sometimes be a bit slow when they are busy but the servers are all very friendly. We tried three different versions of their pasta and all of them were winners. Had that homemade flavor and were all cooked to al dente perfection. So glad we stumbled upon this one through Yelp! Wine is pretty cheap here too! read more

Not the best experience in Florence. Maitre de kept seating everyone in front of us. Didn't take too long, though, and got a comfortable table when finally seated. Ordered pizza and a salad. Not great pizza. Fresh salad, but they took away our salad dressing before we were finished with it. Had to ask for it back. Should have ordered pasta. That looked good. Hands-down our best meal in Florence. There were three of us we had the basic Margherita pizza, homemade pasta dish, and the risotto. They were all fabulous. The waitstaff alone is worth five stars. We've been to paris, Amsterdam, and Rome and this was by far the best dinner we've had since we've been to Europe! Please just avoid this place. It really is a tourist trap. Went here tonight after we missed a reservation for dinner. We were warmly welcomed by whom I presume is the owner and we were seated quickly however it went downhill from there. We ordered wine- they put the glasses down, but was never served. We ordered our food and it literally came out within minutes which would indicate that nothing was cooked fresh. The soup was inedible, the pasta had a very bland sauce and the funghi pizza was revolting- completely soggy. Our hotel recommended this restaurant and it did not disappoint my family and I! The pizza and pasta was fresh and the food was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend this place to those who are staying in Florence! It does get pretty busy so try to go at a time that is not as busy! Go for the green and yellow pasta dish. The sauce is so good. The pasta is very good, but different from what we are used to as they use not only white flour. It is pretty good pasta, but not the best fresh pasta I have had. The pizza was pretty good as well, but also not the best.
