{3.5 Stars} After…read morefinalizing the the home buying process and then dealing with 2 months of repairs post closing, I feel I need to update my review. Michelle is a wonderful realtor, hardworking, responsive and a go getter. Our problems started around closing. We were promised a 21 day escrow. We later found out that this was not actually possible with the way we were making our home purchase. Had we known this, we never would have added this clause to the purchase agreement. Granted, we got closing costs covered, but we were not told the whole truth. When it came to request for repairs, we were told that we were asking for too much, even though some items were listed as health and safety repairs. It seemed that her relationship with the seller took precedence over representing and protecting us as clients. When we pushed for repairs to be done, we as the clients were the ones checking in constantly, sending emails, asking for permits to be pulled and bending over backwards to be available for the seller's people to fix the work. She did send some emails, but the majority were sent by us. When we noticed that some corners were being cut, we were constantly told by Michelle, "Let's not try to be experts in things we don't know about." That bothered me. Michelle did go above and beyond as a realtor in the buying process and she is someone to have on your side, but once the paperwork was signed, we no longer felt represented.

The house was an inheritance, and needed to be put on the market "as is." They were diligent in helping me get the exterior tidied up - finding a gardener, handyman, electrician and teens to do front yard poop patrol! (gotta keep the neighborhood happy!) Literally two days before it was to go on the market, a pipe burst in the kitchen. I live out of state, and I did not have any idea who to call, and I left everything up to them. That evening they got ServPro out to suck up the water and to dry everything out. Insurance became involved, and a contractor was recommended. Suffice it to say that the contractor was less than stellar. Too many delays, etc. However, Jessica and Masumi would drop by periodically to be my eyes and ears and give me a report on how the construction was coming. When they couldn't get there, Kim went by to check things out. These ladies stood strong, even calling the contractor a few times on my behalf when I was out of the country. It took over 6 months from the original date that the house was to go on the market to actually be ready to go. Jessica and Masumi very easily (and I would not have blamed them) could have told me to call back when it was ready, or told tell me to get another realtor. But no! They stuck right with me through thick and thin! In the end, I received a very fair price for my house. I highly recommend Dunn, Purdy & Co, along with Keller Williams to represent you in your real estate needs, buying or selling.

Despite this being my first home purchase, both explained the buying process to me clearly and kept me updated with any progress. We looked for homes, put in a few offers, and closed escrow in about 2 months. While I primarily worked with Masumi, Jessica did come along to visit a few homes and her candor and humor were greatly appreciated. Thank you, Jessica, for not letting me put an offer on that "pig in lipstick" - haha! And Masumi - I can't say enough nice things about her - but she is vibrant, attentive, and tenacious. She was very open to my requirements (my vintage style is not the norm) and found several gems within my very limited budget.
