Run! I got there 15 minutes after they opened. It took me an hour and a half to be seen. I've had shorter weights at the DMV. My total time there was two hours and 15 minutes. Took up an entire Saturday morning just to get a subpar haircut. Never going back . read more

Worst cut in my 73+ years. Asked for #4 just on the sides then layer the top down to it. Ended up with a #3 on 3/4 of my head. He cut a bald spot across the side of my head and said "Sorry", (picture doesn't quite show it all). Never had such a Chop Job ever in my life. Uneven and choppy. He just kept cutting and cutting and cutting going over the same areas multiple times. "Peter" was talking non-stop the entire time. Complaining about starting his day at midnight. Repeatably complaining about customers. Complaining about a Casino. Complaining about a friends cowboy hat. I've seen the behavior before in drug related case studies. Drugs or maybe a medical condition of some kind. He also complained about what a lady said to him about his Domed, (Clubbing), fingernails. They look pretty bad. It could be affecting his behavior. The lady even told him he should see a doctor. Her husband died from symptoms related to that condition. Either way. He has no business cutting anyone's hair. read more

Pros: Easy location, tons of parking. Cons: Somewhat rude, terrible cut. This may be a great place for adult hair cuts, but I've never felt more unwelcome than when I brought my kid in for a cut. I will never go back to this place. We didn't even get a "hello" when we walked in. Keep your children away. they butchered my kid's hair, and they made it obvious from the get go that they did not want to deal with kids, even though their site says "family." read more

They lose a star due to closing out at 4pm on a week day when most people are just getting off work and have time to get a hair cut they close. I would till 3:30 pm if I get delayed leaving work no hair cut if I don't drive break neck speed after work no hair cut. I like my normal barber and hate to say it but might been time to switch barber shop read more

Place doesn't take appointments. Called earlier in the day on Tuesday and the person I spoke to said that it should be easy to drop in. I dropped in a little before 4p and was told that the sign-up list was cut off. Seems like the barbers just wanted to leave right at 5. Shop should just lock the door or change its hours to 4pm if that is when they're going to cut off walk-ins. Website says they are open until 5p. read more

If you're going here for a hair cut be sure to bring your earplugs. The music is painfully loud.

Great cut. Great atmosphere. This is my new spot for haircut and beard trim. Sign in early or you might have a wait. read more

While I was somewhat skeptical of the name of this barber shop, by the time Rudy had given me the haircut I needed, and I'd witnessed the nuance and interaction between the staff and their customers, I was truly impressed. This actually IS a classic, small town barber shop, in every good way you can imagine. Rudy made me feel relaxed and at home. And he did a very good job, smoothly and swiftly. Even more impressive, to me, the customer before me was a shy young man, maybe 11, and Rudy treated him with unaffected respect, and goodwill. And gave him a cut that would make any celebrity jealous! I will certainly return. It's almost a shame, hair takes so long to grow! read more

Great barbers. I see Rudy. He's fantastic. Does a great job giving me the haircut I want.

I was on a time crunch and went elsewhere. Results were not pleasing. This made me realize my beard can only be taken care Ye Old.

I called yesterday to ask if they took appointments or if they just took walk-ins. The gentleman on the phone told me they usually just take walk-ins, but he could go ahead and pull a time for us if there was a specific time we were looking to come in the next day. My husband and our son went for their haircuts today, and they look great! My husband said the whole experience was good. They were patient with our son (5), which is always appreciated! Everyone is happy with their haircuts, and we'll certainly be back! read more

She gave me a great hair cut and she also had a great personality! It was worth the wait.

Great place. I no longer live local (moved back to California 3 years ago) but I have many fond memories. Always took care of me.

Great place. Barber is a very nice and helpful guy. Clearly knows a lot about cutting hair. Very attentive and really listened to what I wanted. Ultimately a great hair cut! I'll be back! read more

Dang. You're looking at the type of business/service that is too often taken for granted. An old fashioned barber with, wait for it, a Guarantee on his haircuts! You can get whichever cut you want. You call it. From modern looking pompadour styles with razor parts to a traditional high and tight. And he won't let you leave the chair until you are happy. All of the services you would expect at a traditional barbershop too, a hot-foam razor neck shave, powder brush, a vacuum to clean up the hair, the hot towel for your face, and a choice of pomade when your haircut is finished. The price cannot be beaten. It can't. It's $12 for the first cut and $11 if you come back. He offers discounts for military and police. He also cuts kids hair and had a great demeanor with my two-year-old. Just go. Give Ye Old Barber a try. And book online at yeoldbarber.com. read more

Old fashioned service and high quality haircuts. Ken and the team are great to deal with.

Dropped in today for a first time haircut here and was very pleased with the cut from Courtney. Efficient, precise and did a nice job. I'm a picky client and will definitely come back here again! read more

This barber shop is a cozy little spot on Main St. in Ferndale, right across from Outlaws. It's connected to a wine shop next door where you can grab a drink either before or after. I got my haircut from Sarah and she did a great job. A few nice touches that went above and beyond included a cool towel for my face, and a bottle of water. Even though I live in Bellingham, I will definitely be making the trip to come back. read more

Today was my first time here, and the place was clean and very neat. Rudy did a great job and was friendly but also efficient. Second visit today was great, Courtney did an amazing job and even gave me some insight on how to take care of my hair when it gets longer. read more

Great haircut and service. Highly recommend. Enjoyed the environment and conversation with the barber. Will definitely return.

Extremely happy with my first experience here. I showed up on a busy afternoon during back to school week, but they were kind enough to fit me in. It's a small shop with two chairs and is clearly catching on. While I was in there at least half a dozen people came in looking for a haircut or to make appointments for the next day. I like the haircut I received and will return next time I need one. read more

Price increased in February to $15. Haircut and beard combo price is $20. That's still better than most places in the area. I noticed that seniors 62 and up and kids still get the $12 price. I went in at 1:30 on a Thursday and only had one customer ahead of me, but I called ahead to check first. read more

Good for kids. Nice and knowledgeable. They had toys for kids to play with as they wait, had a kids car chair, and the barber was good at keeping my son distracted. Flat rate of $12 for a good barber is a great deal. He knew how to cut my sons hair to work with his cowlick just by looking at him. We'll be going back. read more

Very pleased with my hair but also the service and attention to detail. Wow. Thank you Ken for a true barber experience! The location is very convenient and the hours make dropping by very easy. You are well taken care of here. read more

First thing, I didn't get the hair cut, my husband did I just waited. It is a clean, comfortable barber shop that plays really fun 40's music. It was a Saturday morning and usually that means a long wait at any barber shop. He signed in at about #5 on the list. There was a lady barber and she was fun to watch. Her client was an older gentleman and she was so engaged. When he got up to leave, she handed presented a little silver tray with his hearing aids on it. A very nice touch. She did a great job on a man who wanted a high and tight. The young man who cut my husband's hair must have been new, he was a bit slower and not quick to cut it as short as my husband likes but I thought it looked nice. He was nicely groomed and very polite. There is a separate waiting are and barber chair for little ones to have something to do while they are waiting and outside is a cute little train seat. There is a checker set on a table to pass the time. Overall, I think it is a great old school barber shop that is clean, friendly, and provides great grooming services. read more

Excellent service. Like how they have managed to reopen and operate in a safe way in light of the pandemic, keep themselves safe as well as the customer safe. Kudos. I will be back next month. read more

Ken is amazing! I highly recommend going to him. He helped my son through his fear of getting a hair cut and he's so patient and kind with him! I'm so glad that there are people out there that are willing to give young kids a good experience even when they sometimes don't hold still! I can't thank him enough! read more

I came in with my son for a hair cut. Haircut was amazing. She was great with my son. We could of done without the vulgar language coming from the owner. I'd love to come back when that issue is addressed. God bless! read more

My first time going to this barber shop an I was welcomed by the owner. Which had nothing but good vibes and just wanted to please his customers. He does a phenomenal job. Not only at hair cuts but also makes his customers feel welcome. To my surprise the hair cuts are much cheaper than alot of other places. Would recommend this to anyone that wants to leave with a smile an fresh cut. read more

I highly recommend Ye old barbershop. The owner, Ken is amazing! In a world of hastiness, he gives the attention to each and everyone of his customers that is second to none. It was our first time in and he made us feel like regulars and we were a walk-in with two very active boys!!!! He put them both in the chair at the same time when they fought for who went first, he made them feel like they both got to go first!!! Amazing!! I can't believe how lifted up I felt with the epic customer service that was provided to me. To top it off he gives an awesome haircut with advice on after haircut styling, not trying to sell anything, just ensuring I'm completely satisfied. Plus he 100% guarantees your cut! If I don't like it a week later he'll fix it. Amazing, amazing, amazing! read more

What a gem! Ken cut my sons hair quickly with as much care and precision as a 30-45 minute session at another salon usually takes. My other son enjoyed watching his brother get his hair cut he wanted his cut too. The shop is very family friendly, toys to play with, checkers and even a cool car to sit in and "drive". What makes the place amazing is that Ken himself is "family friendly", he is fast and engaging with the kids and involves them with the haircut instead of talking only to the parents (all the crayons in the world can't make a place family friendly if the employee/server/owner isn't). The boys left saying "we love Mr.Ken, we are coming here forever". What better reaction could I ask for?! read more

I love going here it's classic and everything's always done efficiently I recently went to get a haircut and this lady who've I've never seen there before (I didn't catch her name, it's the lady who has blonde hair but not the short blonde hair the one with longer hair) she did my haircut and I told her I was going to a wedding tomorrow and I just wanted a trim on the top and it fading up all around the sides but to keep the sides short and she said alright it was about 5:40 when my haircut started. And she started cutting my hair and everything was fine then she started cutting the top of my hair that's when I went uh oh because she immediately cut off about an inch of hair and I just assumed oh shes not gonna cut it that short everywhere it's just thin it out or something but I was wrong she was cutting it that short all over and she then finished my fade higher on the left side of my head and lower on the right side of my head. I went into that hair cut with about 4 inches of hair on the top of my head and left it with about two inches.... I just wanted a trim and for her to clean up the sides I even showed her how I usually style my hair and how I do it so she could know how to cut my hair better and I have absolutely no idea how to style my hair now it's too short to do any styles I know of and it's not short enough to do any styles I looked up or just thought of it's at a really odd length and it kind of looks like my hairs a helmet towards the back of my head but it gets a lot longer towards the front of my head. Everyone else who works at this establishment is absolutely amazing at what they do but this lady is not so great at it and I just think it reflects poorly on the barbershop read more
