Until I discovered that I had not purchased exactly what I needed. 1.5 hours after my purchase I returned to the store for an exchange. I was told that I needed my receipt. The same clerk was at the front desk. Then a supervisor came up and said she would put a refund on a gift card, ok. During the process the supervisor said there was no return or exchanges allowed ... ALL because I chose Save a Tree! Never will I ever get near that business again because of the No Receipt trickery. Horrible horrible way to run a business and an excellent way to ruin future business.

Overall the layout makes sense and it's easier for me to bring the kids here than pay full price at B&N down the street and the experience is pretty comparable. I also like that you can call them and ask that they hold a book for you- great for Moms running low on time who need to get a book for their kids school project or required reading (speaking from experience here). The only con I will mention is what others have mentioned as well. Don't come here with books to sell assuming you'll get a lot of money for them. Come here with the books you were going to donate anyways. I do wish they had a better trade in program.

I was amazed how smoothly this book signing ran…read more Everything was top notch, you walked in, grabbed your book, were ushered over for a meet and greet and picture, and then on your way. Pictures were downloadable off a site you were given directions to via a card they handed you on the way out. Kudos to you FoxTale Book Shoppe for all you do!!!

I love little bookstores. This one is charming. It's in a very small house and they have everything…read morearranged. Just so. There is a good amount of kids books, and large print which I love. They do have a lot of incoming items every week so I encourage everyone to go back frequently. The folks there are helpful and will hand you a basket and help you bring your books to the front when you are ready to check out. This is not a chain bookstore and I encourage everyone to frequent this local business.

In all the time where the floor creaks and in every squeak of the door is like a warm greeting from all those who have passed through. They have a little bit of everything in terms of books. Most of their books are books that you wouldn't necessarily find in a conventional bookstore. Books like collector's encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain or five lessons on the modern fundamentals of golf by Ben Hogan. All the baked goods are baked in the house. I especially enjoyed their Lavender cake which i'm told is made from lavender flower and not the syrup. It's a must try. They also buy use books. This place seemed a little sketchy from the outside; there was a messy cart of "free books" that…read moreseemed abandoned. Upon entry the place was well lit and buzzing with excitement for the author who was doing a signing. I wasn't paying close attention and didn't realize what it was at first, but there was so much animated conversation that I assumed it was a book club that was really enjoying themselves. It made the recovery from the free book cart mess easy to recover from. The staff was all super friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to search for titles and authors I was looking for and were happy to add more books to my pile (*wink). The only downer was that the shelves had no obvious organization and it was hard to shop on your own. Nothing is labeled consistently and I couldn't tell where one section ended and another began. One section even had a pink sticky note with a hand-written label. The staff also didn't keep a proper inventory and half of books the computer said they had were no where to be found. Bottom line is that this place was welcoming and had good prices. They do not buy books but will offer in-store credit for books you no longer want. Check this place out.
