B and B

My favorite! Healthy tasty spicy Cajun food at a great price. Located at the end of the Mass Ave strip past bottle works! They have all the classic beans rice and sausage favorites. Also a nice selection of vegan options. Not a fancy place but the food is great and won't break the bank. Try the B and B. So good!

How not love this spot!! It's right at the end of Mass Ave, GREAT vibes, AMAZING staff, n like always the food is AMAZING!! Without a good meal for this cold weather! B&B is a must if u haven't had Yatz before

Get place to stop in for a quick bite! Meals are prepared fairly quickly, and are a great value for the price! Today I had the half and half plate of drunken chicken and chorizo étouffée. This comes over rice, with a side of the bread. Both choices were great and not too spicy for me! The bread is delicious and pairs well. Overall, a great, easy spot for lunch or dinner!

Good restaurant with good food at a great price. I got carry out. Someone was quick to take my order and the food came out in just 5-10 minutes. The food was great! Perfect Cajun creole flavor. It was also very cheap. I didn't eat in the restaurant, but it is pretty standard inside. Lots of space to sit down and eat. Overall this is a good place to get good, cheap food. Despite the low price, they definitely to not lack on flavor!!

Chili Cheese Etouffee

The service was good but the quality in food was terrible. I ordered a chili cheese etoufee with the crawfish. The dish was cold, the rice was slimy, and the crawfish was gray. I thought I'd at least feel better snacking on the bread but the topping might as well have been old grease. It's been years since I've been to Yats and now I remember why! You get what you paid for, my entree was under $10 before my 20% tip. Never again!!! I'm surprised such low quality food is available on Mass Ave. SLOP! The bathroom was also filthy but I visited out of desperation.

Stopped here today with my husband and two toddlers for a quick easy meal and that's what we got. We also got beer from a very limited beer selection since the tap wasn't in working order. The red head host was the one who took our order and served us. I don't know what his problem was but he gave off I don't want to serve you vibes. He was very short with us and had bad energy. I won't be returning.

I've been coming to Yats for over 15 years and I'm never disappointed. I like the location on Mass Ave but parking can sometimes be tricky. Definitely get the free Cajun garlic powder sauce to add to your meal!

There is always great Cajun food at a reasonable price at Yats! And it's usually busy.

That's actually why I feel compelled to say something - during my visit, I saw an adult man berate a young hostess over the wait time. No one deserves to be spoken to that way, especially not a teenager doing their job in a high-pressure environment. Unfortunately, I've seen this kind of behavior more than once at restaurants, and it needs to stop. If you're frustrated, taking it out on staff is not ok. A little patience and basic respect go a long way. As someone who used to work as a hostess, I know how stressful those moments can be, and I really appreciated how gracefully the team at Juniper on Main handled everything. They deserve a lot of credit. Highly recommend this place, not just for the great food, but for the hardworking, kind staff who keep things running. If you are someone that can't control your temper and you take it out on unsuspecting people, you should order in. Your frustration doesn't give you the right to behave so awful.

My husband and I ate here for the first time today and we are SO UPSET! Not at the restaurant, meal…read moreor service but at ourselves for waiting so lonnnnggggg to try this delicious gem! We had the crab cakes and crab & artichoke dip for apps and our lunch entrees were the fried catfish sandwich with fries and the filet with mashed potatoes and collard greens. For bevvies, we tried their rosé and red zeppelin English ale. All of it, every bit and bite, was 10/10. Food breakdown: - Crab cakes: succulent lump crap meat within a lightly battered and flash fried coating. They come on a bed of arugula with a light dressing and dipping sauce for the cakes. Super yummy! - Crab & artichoke dip: ooey gooey deliciousness, perfect balance of cheese sauce too. You don't have to search for the crab or artichokes. And the fried naan chips were sliced long and thin, and could've been called naan fries actually. Perfect companion for the dip. - Fried catfish sammich: the piece of fish was huge and the batter was good. It came on Texas toast with fixins and tartar sauce. Won't lie, the only thing I wanted for was some hot sauce. That's a me problem... just gotta have hot sauce when I eat fried fish but I didn't ask for any while I was there (they may offer it) and still very much enjoyed the sandwich. - Filet: it was great... hubby got it medium and it arrived perfectly cooked. The Demi glaze sauce was so good and so were the sides. Their collard greens are seasoned up! I said does my auntie work here?! This cuisine is so comfortingly southern and didn't disappoint. Shoutout to our friendly and helpful server, Dan... our food and drinks came out quickly and so did our to-go box. His service was truly top notch. We have been living in Carmel for 5 years and this is one of the best restaurants here. If you're on the fence about trying this place, jump off and make a reservation. You won't regret it.

I recently tried Slap's Fish Market and sampled a little bit of everything--lobster roll, burrito,…read morecheesecake, and their lobster deviled eggs--and overall it was a really memorable experience. The service was very helpful deciding what to order. The setting was fun down town indanopolis feel. The lobster roll was definitely the standout. It was packed with fresh, flavorful lobster and had a nice balance of buttery richness without feeling too heavy. You can tell the seafood is high quality, which makes a huge difference. The lobster deviled eggs were super unique and honestly one of my favorite bites. Creamy, slightly tangy, and topped with lobster--it's not something you see everywhere, and they executed it really well. My husband tried the shrimp burrito, which was great for a seafood spot. It was hearty, well-seasoned, and filled generously. It didn't feel like an afterthought on the menu. To finish, the cheesecake was a great choice it was from the cheesecake factory is what the offered for my birthday smooth, rich, and just the right level of sweetness with a strawberry topping to end the meal without being overwhelming. Overall, Slap's Fish Market delivers on both creativity and quality. It's a great spot if you want fresh seafood with a few fun, unexpected twists. I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu.

Not gonna lie, my work group really likes coming here when we have lunch outings. My only problem?…read moreI very much dislike seafood to any capacity. Yet, I still eat here just fine. I feel like most seafood places will have vegetarian options by way of removing the fish from pasta dishes or salad, but it's also nice to know that you can get chicken as a substitute on most of these kinds of dishes, too. Granted, it's just like chicken tenders, but still good nonetheless. I really like their firecracker pasta, which is moderately spicy in my opinion. There's no particular fishy smell here, which is always a good sign that the seafood they serve here is freshly prepared. Our food always comes out quickly for lunch and we've been a group as large as 8 or 9. I do believe that ordering is mostly done online in their mass Ave location, though. I don't really seek out a place like Slapfish on my own (no offense at all, just not a seafood girlie!!), but I would assume that it's a rather popular establishment as they recently opened a fifth location in the greater Indy area. If I did like fish and such more, I'd probably be here on a more regular rotation.
