Roccie's claims on the homepage of their website that they will come and provide a free estimate but changed their tune when I attempted to schedule, advising she would be charging me for the estimate if I did not choose them for the job. When I questioned this, she became irate, yelling at me telling me it is CORPORATE POLICY and flat out refused to provide me with her name even though I asked multiple times. She refused to even provide her first name so I could know who i was speaking to and would only tell me to email the owner if I had a problem. Why would i go to so much trouble to give YOU business? Absolutely terrible. I will be telling all my friends and family avoid this business and use A REPUTABLE service in the area that wont take advantage of you and pull a bait and switch like this woman tried to with me.

Alex and his team are spectacular…read more We had suffered awful flooding on a number of occasions over the last few years. In July 2022, we finally accepted that we needed to spend serious $$$ on a comprehensive driveway and drainage project to protect our home. Numerous quotes from drainage and flood professionals were either epic town-scale projects, or tone-deaf installations of products we didn't need. Alex was recommended to me by a neighbor as WAY more than a paving guy. On our first meeting, I appreciated that he is a relaxed, clear-headed professional, who actually listened to my problems, and asked questions, rather than barrel into the answer he saw fit. We spent a few days exchanging emails and calls to determine a project that would resolve the problem, and meet our preferences. He ultimately devised an elegant solution that consisted of multiple stages of flood mitigation. We were most impressed at his pricing - as a general contractor with the right tools and skilled team members to hand, Alex could offer sensible pricing under one contract. As the final project was logically elegant and simple, he kept the total cost under control, without unnecessary additional equipment or destruction (one contractor had wanted to charge double Alex's final invoice just to rip up the lawn and install a completely redundant water tank). Alex's team all wear the same t-shirt uniform, they are tidy, polite, well presented and ALL of them knew the timeline and next steps - when I asked for an update, if Alex wasn't there, they could ALL provide an acceptable answer. When I commended him on this, he noted that he ONLY hires guys he trusts and works with regularly. The work was meticulous, clean and done to perfection - and I am a cynical obsessive compulsive. On completion, I noticed one of the edging stones was missing its cement - Alex was mortified by the oversight, and came out himself that evening to remedy. He kept me updated throughout the project, and was a pleasure to deal with, even sharing handouts on appropriate future care of the driveway and drainage system. I can't recommend him and the team enough - our new driveway and defense mechanism is gorgeous.

The old door, which I think was the original one from the 1960s, was in awful shape; it didn't close cleanly, it didn't lock properly, and the insulation around the perimeter was severely lacking. On the appointed day, NY Renovate got a team down to us first thing in the AM. They ripped out our door toot sweet and put in the new one along with some great sidelights in just a few hours. They also installed all the lock and bell hardware at no extra cost. Once again we were extremely happy with the job NY Renovate did. Wholeheartedly recommended for any home improvement project.

We had a couple of people coming to offer us some quotes and advice. Poli came in and was instantly the only one we were going to start this adventure with. He was honest. Not pushy. Understood our needs and dreams and tried to make them fit in our budget which is probably not the usual large budgets he is dealing with. Yet - he offered us a 5 star service and we are so happy after already a few weeks of us living in the house while he renovates the first floor. The work flow is fast. The team is clean and discreet. I can already see the end and I must say I already want them back for the next project. I don't think many people offer such a level of seriousness and high ethics. I am sure their business will make many more happy home owners :) I will post some pictures once we are all done !
