I was catfished at my appointment when the doctor who walked in looked (decades) older than the doctor pictured on the website. I came for an acute problem and I felt like the doctor didn't listen to me. He "educated" me by pointing at pictures in a laminated book. He must really like to educate because he went through the book with me on each of my visits. He kept recommending NSAIDs without seeming to want to get to the root of my problem. He was over 30 minutes late to my appointment (I've waited longer for other providers), but it was the way in which he handled the appointment that rubbed me the wrong way; he made my time feel rushed and blamed his need to rush on the fact that his front desk doesn't like when he runs behind. He seemed flustered moving between exam rooms to see patients, saying that he'd be back to answer questions, but never returning to the exam room. There was also a billing issue that took several months to resolve. This issue would not have occurred if they verified my insurance, like I advised. The billing issue was resolved after diligent follow up, otherwise I'm not sure if I would have been refunded. Needless to say, the time spent at his office was a complete waste and my issue was not addressed to my satisfaction. I have since gone elsewhere for a second opinion and am doing so much better and way more satisfied with the level of care and attentiveness.

Now he has his own business in Dallas. All his patients from Fort Worth continue to make that 45 minute drive to his location in Dallas. His entire staff are extremely friendly professional andake you welcoming Vivian is Dr. Legel's wife anf office manager. Yesica is Dr. Legel's MA and has always taken care of me since she started. Destiny takes care of all insurance claims of which is not easy but always has a smile. The first person you see when you walk in is Dzana the receptionist and scheduler for follow up appointment. She is always with a smile and welcomes you as you walk in the door. Dr. Legel has added another DPM and MA. Dr. Legel's surgery is Tuedays. To avoid not having a doctor on staff, Dr. Legel has addrd Dr. Genise Kennedy DPM along with her MA, Gigi. I've had the opportunity to have the newbies check both of my feet post surgery. They both don't skip a beat in Dr. Legel's absence. Now I will warn ya'll Gigi has such an infectious smile and is like a bunny rabbit, here, there and anywhere. My buddy Yesica always has a smile but she always takes care of me with my special cup a coffee since I have tenure with Dr. Legel. I think I may be a "silent partner"...lol! This last surgery I had a month ago were severe spurs on both feet from the digits after amputations. The spurs were pointing downward and puncturing my pads underneath. Due to neuropathy from hips to feet, I couldn't feel them until I spotted blood on my floors. Dr. Legel went in and filed away to the point that the post op x-rays looked as smooth as a baby's bottom. Wow...what a relief!…read more I went to a PrimaCare 2 years ago for an ingrown toenail and they cut it out. Painful process and I've hoped to not repeat it. Many tears shed on that one. Well...it was time again..same toe, along with another foot issue. Did not want another PrimaCare experience, so I found Dallas Podiatry Works. I went in expecting a similar painful experience. The front desk staff were friendly and professional, so that helped a bit. They needed X-Rays and having them done in-office was a nice touch. Dislike having to go different places for these things. The All-In-One is my preference. Anna, the prep nurse was nice and set me at ease for the ingrown removal. Dr. Northcutt is very thorough in asking questions and provided lots of insight and paperwork to explain what was going on and the next steps...sorry, pun intended. Once the doc started, we talked for a bit...his bedside manner is great...Anna came back in and the doc was done. I didn't even know he had done the procedure as I opted for the chair view blocker. Nothing like my first experience...it was literally painless and done quickly. The checkout was effortless and I was on my way...slower than when I came, but I was well taken care of. Bottomline: No one WANTS to go the foot doctor, but when you do...Dallas Podiatry Works is THE place. They have a Dallas and Plano location. I came in to check to make sure nothing was broken. When I booked the appointment, they read my info to confirm everything was correct. When I came in my address and phone number were wrong. The receptionist then called me twice at every hour after I left the office to check my info again and to verify my pharmacist again. The doctor never called over my prescription over to the pharmacist so I'm not going to remind her to do her job. Should have been a red flag when I was able to get an appointment quickly.
