Carne Asada con Gallo Pinto, maduros y queso frito

In the search of delicious Nicaraguan cuisine I found this restaurant. I ordered online and the whole experience was wonderful. I ordered the Carne Asada, the nacatamal and sodas. I was impressed by the carne Asada dish, it was served with a generous amount of gallo pinto (rice&beans), plantains and fried cheese. All the sides complemented my dish very well and the food was amazing. The meat was tender and tasty. The packaging was excellent and everything arrived hot and perfect. I was wowed by the presentation, flavor, and also the fantastic food selection. I highly recommend this restaurant and also the nacatamal that was also SUPERdelicious!!! Fenomenal service provided for an online order.

This was my first time visiting, but my boyfriend had been here before and raved about it--now I see why! The carne asada was to die for--so tender, juicy, and full of flavor. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted and served right away. The ambiance inside and out has a cool, unique vibe that adds to the whole experience. I'd definitely recommend checking it out if you're in the area. We'll for sure be coming back!

We stopped by the other day for a quick lunch. It was pretty busy, but they bring your order quickly. We sat at our favorite table in the back. I love looking at all the artifacts on the wall. The service was friendly and quick. The food, carne con queso y coleslaw, was very good. We were able to park in front of Yambo.

We were waiting out the baseball traffic and stumbled into Yambo. Had a tiny language barrier that made service a little slow but we got through it fine. I had the steak. It was a little over done in sections but the rest was very delicious. My favorite part of the meal was the coleslaw. The dressing was tangy with a little kick at the end. My friend had the rice and beans and I was jealous. Luckily there was plenty to share and the prices are reasonable.

I have been coming from the last year very often. He venido tantas veces en la semana que ya siento que es la cocina de mi casa. Siempre muy buen trato, la carne asada es lo que siempre pido, pasas por la cerveza, bajas el app de música de la vitrola digital and I leave all of the stressed day behind. The best is you eat outside and learn this is like the Versailles for the Cuban exile but for the Nicaraguans that got exile im Mass as much as Cubans since Castro Narco Communism de decided to exported to central and South America. Nicaraguan People has suffered as much Cubans, but not much is said about it. In any case Yambo was my first and continue being my only option for Nica Food. Just for being loyal to the real fighters stand for America Great Again. My gratitude always to you

I order a quesillo and a Nacatamal, it has been years since my last visit and so disappointed the quesillo taste like polio cheese and the nacatamal had no flavor not a great experience will not be going back. The owner charges you for using your credit card! What in 3 rd world is this?

I asked the lady to give me an extra piece of meat , they charge for it $5 dollars , which I'm ok with it , but all she did it was switch the meats and she put in the to go box the same 2 pieces , very slick trying to ask me to pay in cash obviously to keep the money , but since I know how These places work specially yambo , I paid credit card , so I can report a fraudulent charge of people that I'm pretty sure don't have papers to work ,, yambo shouldn't operate like this anymore!!

As Miami visitors, it was our first time going to a fritanga! We were super hungry after a night out, but not many places were open late, so we were lucky to find this one. PARKING: Small lot but tons of open spots late at night. WHAT I ORDERED: We got two plates, one carne asada and one pollo frito. Accompanied by gallo pinto, yuca frita, queso frito, and maduro THE FOOD: This definitely hit the spot. The gallo pinto, maduro, and queso frito were pretty standard compared to what I've had in the past. The yuca frita was pretty solid and perfectly cooked. I think the pollo frito is something I would skip next time since it's something I'd rather have freshly fried. But the carne asada was AMAZING, very nicely seasoned and still juicy. SERVICE: We ordered to go at the window outside. Very straightforward and no frills but friendly and super fast. Note that they speak mostly Spanish here, which we spoke, but I'm sure you could also get by if you only speak English too. VIBES: There's seating inside if you dine in, and additional seating outside if you order to go. What caught our attention was the décor outside - super unique and we spent some time just looking at it! BOTTOM LINE: I'd come back. Good prices, good serving size, and open late.

Yambo is quintessential and a classic to the Miami food scene. This fritanga always delivers. The portions are massive and the prices are economical given the amount of food served. My advice is to come in and look at the dishes before you order. My friends ordered the carne asada and didn't have any complaints. I ordered their special of the day which was a pollo guisado (chicken in a sauce with potatoes and carrots) it was delicious and the whole plate only cost $6 and it came with 2 sides and a coleslaw salad. I was floored by the price and quality for the price. It doesn't surprise me that Yambo continues to be a Miami staple for fritanga.

First off, huge shoutout to Jonathan, the real MVP of our visit. He was literally handling the entire front of house completely by himself--greeting guests, taking orders, serving food--while staying polite and professional. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was a mess. We called ahead to place a pickup order, and were told it was possible. When we called back (after deciding what we wanted), the manager abruptly told us they were "too busy" and no longer accepting phone orders. When we arrived shortly after, there were only a few people inside--and Jonathan was still doing everything on his own while the manager sat at the front on her phone the entire time. Zero support. It was uncomfortable to watch. The menu was another issue. Several items were unavailable, including the oxtail, which is clearly advertised for Wednesdays. The reason? "It takes too long to make." If that's the case, don't list it or falsely advertise it. The fried pork (chicharrón) came covered in sauce, even though the menu didn't say it would--this matters for people who prefer it crispy or dry. Also, they were out of a few drinks we asked. Food-wise, the meat was flavorful, especially the carne asada. But the rice and soup lacked seasoning, which is disappointing for a place that usually prides itself on bold Nicaraguan flavors. Overall, the restaurant felt disorganized and poorly managed. It's a shame because the potential is there, and Jonathan is working incredibly hard. He deserves better support--and honestly, so do the customers.

Lengua, naca tamal, manuelitas, queso frito, yuca frita, and plantain fritters (oh and cebada drink). They go crazy for UberEats deliveries.

Yambo has a special place in my heart always, much like many other fond memories of places that adorn their walls to the brim and seem to be one strong wind storm away from utter disaster. I had the pleasure of going to Yambo twice, once through the magical service of delivery and once in person when I found out how gaudy (in the best way possible) the interior looked through photos. Both times, I was surprised by the amount of food. I think that's my biggest takeaway from Yambo: no, you do not need two of anything, there is more than enough with one serving of it. The photo I uploaded way the first time I ordered, where my wonder got to the best of me and I figured my housemates would love to try some Nicaraguan cuisine, only to find out it was way more for all three of us than anticipated. The food itself was delicious--lengua (my favorite and most critical meat) was great and wasn't tough, naca tamales were delicious, queso frito was the only thing validating two orders of in terms of quantity, I could go on. If you want Yambo, I highly recommend it and hell, I'd say it'd good for dining in or ordering delivery (which is rare for many places). You'll get a great bargain for the amount of food you're going to order almost guaranteed and you'll be happy, content, and satisfied with what you get.

We started with melon and dragonfruit drinks which were like aguas frescas. For starters we tried the Taquitos and Chancho con Yucca and they were excellent. The pork tenderloin chunks in the Chancho were done well and had a tasty coating of spices. We loved the chopped cabbage. We also liked the pulled beef in the Taquitos. The fried beans were creamy and delicious. In fact, everything on our plates was delicious! For mains, we had the Fajitas de Carne and Lengua en Salsa. Both were very good. I haven't had a tamale in a while so I decided to try the Indio Maiz; the sweet corn was good as was the sour cream and soft cheese. Yum. I really enjoyed Maranos. I may have been the only gringo in the place :).

The portions were good in comparison to Los Ranchos and the steak was extremely flavorful and soft. They also have a selection of sauces for the steak or your meal. The service was great. Our only complaint was that they served canned beverages. If you are somebody that drinks a lot of soda, the bill can quickly get expensive. We love Nicaraguan food and frequently dine at other places but this restaurant by far is the best. The wait can be long on the weekends with larger parties so just be aware of that.
