We loved our stay at Saint Regis Mexico City. On this visit, we met with the kindest staff from…read moreRosa, who checked us in to our room. Enrique, who escorted us to our floor to our night Butler named Victor, who taught us how the Room worked. When you stay here, the butler assigned to you, will handle things like making a reservations, bringing one coffee, tea and even unpacking your luggage or pressing your clothes. It was available upon the request. This is an easy to use WhatsApp system. The Kingcole Bar serves breakfast but it also is a perfect spot for a very well-made nightcap or two. While I prefer a vodka martini with a twist. We were told that each Saint Regis has their very own Bloody Mary recipe per location worldwide. These are slightly adjusted recipes to reflect the locally sourced native ingredients. There's even a beautiful book on this that one can purchase called the Saint Regis Bloody Mary book which I would love to order for my husband and our ever growing culinary library. Our room was perfection and with its steam shower and rain shower head it was an event and mental reset each day after waking up. The bedding is wonderful and the pillows perfectly blended. I also very much enjoyed the sectional sofa we had in our room and would enjoy coffee they brought from here. Perfect for a reading spot on an email post within the room if you wanted a break from the desk set up. We loved it and it felt like home. If swimming and cardio is your thing, they got a place for that here as well on the 15th floor the top floor overlooking the entire city weight room on one side and cardio equipment on the other. The St. Regis Spa is a wonderful experience.my very talented massage therapist was named Dulce-Maria and did an amazing job. I was grateful to have a 45 minute bamboo deep tissue massage. She is powerful and healing at what she does. The staff then surprised me with a handwritten note and a beautifully curated chocolate fudge cake. So kind. It must be noted that the use of florals here never-ending and everywhere you go as their groupings are so beautifully curated. We appreciate this wonderful hard working staff who is amazing and took care of us with kindness in their eyes and with grace. We will call this home when we are back to St Regis next month.
We were lucky enough to get a reservation at ANIMAL here at the St Regis and it is as wild of a menu as its name. Everything is oversized and wonderfully celebratory from the time one enters. The jungle like atmosphere reminds you of an exclusive party that one's been invited to deep in the jungle by someone the likes of Lenny Kravitz!. It's a wild blended interior or great art, deep pulsing music and even the wallpaper the WC is excited to see you. Leaning into its jungle theme, the plants cascade the windows and everything is large and oversized the chandeliers hang above you with 'mega strands of beads'. And like everything in Mexico City, there is a perfect use of brick, cement and beautifully crafted handcrafted wood. A Moulin Rouge like tenting surrounding the sushi bar and cocktail glasses larger than your face. The decor matches the tastes of this awesome menu. The menu was expanse and very cool from local Mexican concepts as well as an entire Sushi rollout that makes a person feel everything. Well traveled and have access to nations. I recommend the sushi, the spicy salmon, the Tacos De Hugos and a small key line dessert. The wines have their own presentation here with an attached glass bauble of an aerator and when one orders the white wine it's presented in a sup zero frozen wine glass complete with vapor. We will be back here and appreciated every surprise the servers shared with us for our anniversary. Thank you so so so much!
