There's a downstairs and upstairs area but I was in the downstairs area as the English books are displayed there. There's staff was helpful and they did their best to keep the crowd moving. I like to take my time browsing books but it was a little hard to do that here as the English section was right in the middle of the store's exit path. I constantly kept getting interrupted. Nonetheless, I enjoyed my experience and recommend this store for book lovers.

The building is old and, honestly, it's an eyesore but just as your shouldn't judge a book by its cover, don't let it deter your from entering this treasure trove. Apart from usual books you'd expect to find in any franchise on the high-street, this book shop also has lots of rare and wonderful books that are not so common in such establishments. I found an unusual cooking book in old Spanish full of "modern" recipes, that is, modern when it was written way back in the 1700's. One of the main reasons I love this place is because it is full of real bargains that you would probably never find in the main franchises. There are lots of books ranging from 1€ - 8€ much like a Sephardic cooking book I bought for 4.95€. I did some research and found out that in the main franchises it would have set me back a hefty 27€! If this isn't enough, the staff is friendly and they really go out their way to help you in your quest; if they don't have it they'll order it in without any hassle. You can tell that they really do love their job and that in my eyes is always a big plus point. The only thing that is missing in my opinion is a little corner with some comfy sofas to flick through potential purchases and escape the monotony of daily life - if you add a coffee shop to the mix, I'd probably just move in.
