$428.97 Car Wash I'm…read moreextremely disappointed with Xtreme Clean Auto Wash on Westnedge in Kalamazoo. I went to Meijer's to fill a prescription for my wife as she was just released from Bronson Hospital after having a heart attack. While waiting for her medicine she wanted to have her car washed. So I decided to try out Extreme Clean Auto Wash for the first time since it was located in the parking lot. I patiently waited nearly 30 minutes while 3 vehicles got washed ahead of me. The wash is extremely slow as it takes about 7 minutes per vehicle. Finally we go through the wash and the dryer blows off the right front panoramic roof panel on our 2015 Ford Edge. We try to find someone to help and nobody is working. We try to call the number and no one answers. We call again and again and no one answers. We leave a message. Finally, we get someone who advises us of all the things they require to file a claim. So I fill out the long claim form, take a bunch of pictures of all the damage. Take pictures of my license plate and vehicle number. Get an estimate to repair the damage, which came out to $416.97. So I finish all the the requirements and email the information to them. I try and call again and no answer. I call the next day and learn that it is being reviewed. I leave another message and then I get a corporate email denying my claim because they have a sign that says "operator is not responsible for damage." The told me the panel must of been loose before. This is not some old worn out rusty car, this is a 2015 Ford Edge with 40,000 miles on it. It has been routinely driven for 5 hour round trips to Chicago all fall for my son's College football games. It has been through many other car washes with no problems. It was driven over 30 highway miles from our house to the car wash. If any panel was loose then it would surely have come off. So know this if you go here. They will not cover any damage. The wash is also extremely slow. With just 3 cars ahead of you it will be almost 30 minutes before your car is through the wash. The dryer blows extremely hard and could damage your car and they will not cover that. If you have a problem there is nobody there to help. You have to leave a message and wait. The wash did a poor job too. Soap residue along with dirt was left on the car as the wash and rinse cycles are weak before the hurricane force car wrecking dryer kicks in. Avoid this place at all costs or your $12 car wash could end up costing you $428.97

I can say that the staff at Bob and Kay's are helpful but having nobody outside guiding u into the wash is a bit odd...though it works fairly well. The wash itself is maybe a tad below their competition but still gets the job done. The vacuums are also a bit weak and I think they need a little maintenance to get then sucking better again. Now I have over $60 on my credit card,(the one I paid off and tried to stop), plus the interest rate of 22.9% in which I'm having to pay for all of these months. I've tried calling, I've sent email and nothing is being done. The only reason I gave one star is because you have to. Next step is to get a lawyer.

It wasn't filthy, but since I only used it as a winter vehicle, it never got much deep cleaning done to it. Kris, the new owner, convinced me to get a full detail on it, and holy cow, what a difference! My phone went nuts over the next 24 hours and my buyer came the next day with cash in hand and couldn't stop talking about how clean and shiny it was! He bought it on the spot. Not bad for a 17 year old truck! I can't speak for the old owners since I never had experience with them, but Kris and his staff are wonderful to work with and I definitely recommend them highly! I sold my truck for a lot more then I thought I would get for it!
