For postpartum, my mom wanted me to pick up herbs for Four-Things Soup (四物汤). We had walked in and just showed the text message with all the ingredients. It was quite amusing when the store employee took out an already prepared baggy. Apparently all the necessary herbs (Angelica, Chuanxiong, White peony tea, and Prepared Rehmannia) were already bagged enough for one soup to drink a day. The "four-things soup" (四物汤) is a traditional Chinese medicine soup often used to help new mothers recover after childbirth. Its ingredients vary by region but commonly include: -Angelica: Nourishes blood and promotes circulation. -Chuanxiong: Promotes blood flow and relieves pain. -White peony root: Nourishes the blood and relaxes muscles. -Prepared Rehmannia: Helps restore energy and balance. These herbs help in blood replenishment, relieve fatigue, promote uterine recovery, and improve overall circulation after childbirth. They also have the honey loquat cough drops. My husband prefers those over the ricola cough drops. The store employee said plenty of people come to their store looking for it. We were pretty much in and then out.

Although they don't have a TCM doctor on site. The lady there was super helpful, friendly and made recommendations for me.

I called in to make a same day appointment for acupuncture (called around 10:45a on a Sunday for a…read more12p visit). I thought I would try it out since I have nothing to lose. I have accumulated neck, shoulder, and back pain with tendinitis over the years doing computer work along with having post partum anxiety and depression and have been taking western medicine for a couple of years now. Looking into eastern medicine seemed like a good alternative since looking at all the cons with western medicine was becoming too stressful in itself to be concerned about. When I walked in, I went to a gentleman that was by the medicine counter, thinking it was Dr. Wang. I later found out David was the pharmacist, if you will, of the store. He checked the pressure on both my wrists and gave me a diagnosis while I told him what was wrong with me. He told me my kidneys and liver were in poor condition, and he also asked to look at my tongue. He prescribed me 2 different pills to help with my organs in order to calm them down. David also looked at my eyes and said due to my kidneys being in a poor state, I had dark circles and it showed that I didn't get enough rest. Since he was separate from Dr. Wang's office, I paid him for the medicine first before getting a consultation with Dr. David spoke to Dr. Wang first, and then he introduced me to him. I told him I have PPO, and he had me fill out a form. He asked me what my ailments were, and had me circle areas on a diagram to locate where they were. He said that it was $20 for consultation, $60 for acupuncture, and an additional $20 for an Asian massage therapy. We went to the room and I was advised to be in my undergarments. I laid on my stomach, and we started with acupuncture; I was surprised there weren't many needles used. I believe there were only 2 needles on each forearm, 2 on my neck, and 2 on my back. I was told to rest for about 10-15 minutes. Quite honestly, I didn't feel anything change during or after. It didn't even feel like anything when the needles were inserted as well. After Dr. Wang took the needles out, we moved on to the massage. He advised that the pressure was going to be strong as it was "therapy" and not to be confused with feeling good; I told him I was all for it. He was NOT kidding. He located the knots that I had so many years of struggling with, and man, did he go to work. He had to take a break, and David helped out with my neck. He was NOT messing around either. David did some wizardry work with my neck and shoulders and I almost thought I was going to pass out from the pressure, so I had to keep reminding myself to breathe. Long story short, I feel rejuvenated AF. I will be a forever client so long as they will have me. Thank you, Dr. Wang and David, for your healing powers and sincere concern for your patients. I will be back in a month for the next appointment!

Tariff pricing is already in place here. So just be aware…read morethat instead of $20-$30 for Bai Shao (peony) it will cost $70 and Gui Zhi (cinnamon tree twigs)is $55 instead of $12. I was also told if the tariff holds they will be increasing prices further, which indicates that they are selling pretariff goods at post tariff prices, making an absurd amount of money off of cancer patients. Honestly, I was shocked by the selfishness of increasing the price on non-tariffed products, no business of any kind would have already used all the product they keep in storage from prior international orders, shipments bought on April 2nd or after take over a month and up to three months at best to get here by ship (the only way allowed). This was April 15th. Honestly disappointed with this level of greed, but at least the owners can drive luxury cars, while us customers with medical needs pay 3-5 times the normal price on goods. The profit margin of these products already exceeded 60% on average before the price gouging, now they're making 180%-270% selling products received long before tariffs. Sad to see this place take advantage of its loyal customers.

I was postpartum…read morealmost two years, and I hadn't lost the weight I had gained despite working out consistently and eating relatively healthy. It wasn't until I started working with Sam that I realized my idea of healthy, really didn't take into consideration some fundamental truths about nutrition. I quickly learned in my 1:1 sessions how I needed to pivot, and Sam helped me overcome some fears and unfounded food beliefs I had been carrying around. While I believe what Sam is doing should be provided to everyone and especially to school ages children, I am just lucky enough to have gone on Yelp, taken a chance with her, and had the absolute best 6 months of my life. Not only did Sam help me reinvent some of my eating habits, but she changed the trajectory of my health and I believe supported my fertility and conception of baby#2. I highly recommend Sam as a nutritionist, she really invests in you as a person and your healthy future. Thanks Sam!

She showed me how to view food differently. She showed me the how, the why, and everything in between from becoming a better eater but being a better person to myself! I have more clarity on how food affects my body, more knowledgeable about different foods, how to cook them to taste delicious, and it's ok to have a bad moment, there is no judgment. I recognize now how important sleep is and how stress builds on negative outcomes. I am mentally stronger when it comes to food that I actually read the ingredients on every label that enters my home. I am more mindful of my eating habits and eating slowly. Sam taught me to see food as medicine and that changed how I view food. Don't get me wrong, I'll have a cheat meal here and there, but I stay mindful with no judgement, and I can't thank Sam enough for instilling positive vibes and energy into my life! Sam helped me overcome, not only how to become a better eater for me, but for my family. I was also going through one of the hardest times in my life, and I could not have gotten through it without her. I HIGHLY recommend Sam!
