i found this location by accident on www.bensbargains.net. I've never physically been to their shop, but instead bought their stuff online. I figured, they're near by and in this area so i'll write a review here. I ordered an external hard drive case and it got to me the very next day - meaning in less than 24-hours, meaning they've got their shit together and - even though they're down the street from me, they didn't take that for granted and lagged with my order. I ordered a Supermicro switch from their website since the sales rep told me that I only can do the transaction online, not over the phone. Wow... If there is one thing worse than their shipping turnaround, it's their customer service. I strongly suggest looking elsewhere and paying a few $$ more to save yourself a potential headache. I orded hardware to integrate into a server I was having built. I ordered everything at the same time, however the item from xPCgear arrived over a week later than the rest. Although their policy states they will process the order in 24 hours, I received a call at 7:15 PM 2 days later saying there was an issue with my shipping vs. billing address (I've had hundreds of items shipped using this credit card and have never had a problem before). OK, I took care of that and they waited 3 more days to ship the item. Needless to say my server had been built, configured and my hardware was too late. I emailed their RMA department, and they not only argued that my points were not valid, but refused to admit that they could have shipped the item prior to 5 days after ordering. A call to the "manager" Brian proved fruitless as well, as he just continually provided canned responses and tried to validate that their policies covered their 12 day (9 business day) turnaround time. Although I remained calm while explaining my point of view, he continually talked over me with the same response. My only request... to return an un-opened item, the same day I received it, without a restocking fee. I agreed to pay their initial shipping and my return shipping... just not the fee. There is something bothersome about finding out about non disclosed shipping policies after you make a purchase. I am a busy Physician who has received many packages from UPS and it is common knowledge that if you need to make any arrangements Whit your package, it needs to be done after first delivery attempt. While it is very clear on their website that there is no will call and the fees associated with non delivery and restocking, xPCgear does not feel the need to disclose that having your package held at UPS has been restricted by their company. Manager Brian Lien said that the company policy is based on previous fraud issues and that the policy is between UPS and xPCgear and even though the fee policy and will call policy is clearly stated, that this information is not necessary for consumer trying to decide if they will want to buy a product company. maybe it is just me, but any information that would possibly impact fees and penalties for return or undeliverable products should know that the company has restricted normal delivery option from a major delivery service. Waiting for my refund so that I can do business with a legitimate and transparent company. The many bad reviews of this company are well earned. Beware. Update: UPS showed up while I stopped by home to get something for work and delivered item. Also remembered that internet was down at xPCgear all mornign, so the so called simple call to UPS would not have been that simple. read more

We, a medical imaging company, had ordered 25 computer cases for use in building one of our products. We received the 25 cases and inspected them as quickly as we could for such a large order. 2 of the cases failed inspection because of damage. When we tried to return them them to xPCgear, based on their stated 30 day return window, we were denied the return. Upon contacting them about this we were told that they would not accept the return because it had to do with damage and we did not report it within 24 hours. Despite trying to reason with them about the size of the order and how it would be impossible to properly inspect it in 24hrs, they were unwilling to help. They were absolutely horrible about it. They did not attempt a resolution. They would not listen to reason or even attempt something as simple as meeting us half way. Even going as far as to tell us our inspection rate of the cases was unacceptable to them. Do not buy from them, they are more predator than legitimate business. read more
