Dumplings are tasty and multiple sauces are offered. No English menu is available but it's pretty short and fairly straightforward (dumplings are served either fried or in soup; pick from four fillings: chicken, pork, beef, or vegetable). Utensils are on the table and thoughtfully include both chopsticks and forks/knives. Everything is prepared fresh. The dumpling skin is very nice: thin and crisp on the edges without being tough. Fillings were good (not spectacular but quite tasty) - I liked the pork better than the vegetable (I picked six of each). The mango pudding served at the end of the meal is delightful and cleanses the palate. The Gyoza Bar is easy to get to - just a short walk from the Stiglmaierplatz subway station. It's also very close to Konigsplatz which makes for a nice walk after a meal.

The only reason we had lunch at this spot was a table could only be had after a 40 minute wait on the curb. Feet almost never lie, especially when what drives those feet is hunger and a sharp, discerning taste. When it comes to this variety of noodles, I've spent years living in Asia and Max's brought be back to one of my favorite hawker centers. They make the noodles right in front of you. The broth, the beef, the spice.... perfection. Just for fun, I added a Fanta to my meal and then begged for another hit of noodles, which they will do, if you ate the type of person to finish them before consuming the broth, which is the correct way to eat Chinese noodles.

It's not for every night, but I'd be happy to come here on a future trip to Munich. Arriving to a nearly empty restaurant at 6:15p on a Friday night, my two dining companions and I all opted for the Korean barbecued steak after being guided through the pros and cons. Namely, the entire table must opt for either the a la carte menu, or for the tasting menus for that day; otherwise the dishes can't be timed properly. I dunno how Korean this steak was, but it was served at an appealing medium rare, and still cooking on the sizzling skillets it came in. It was textured, it was juicy, it was well seasoned. The accompanying onion added balance while not coming across too raw to eat. And we demolished the banchan. Everything had strong primary flavors, and balance, and still left room in my stomach for the mains. I don't regret blowing my calorie budget one bit. Inclusive of sparkling water, a bottle of wine for the table, a beer, 3 entrees, and a mocktail, we paid 248 EUR.
