DO NOT AVAIL OF THEIR SERVICES!! I called them to have my internet disconnected in February. The person I spoke with said she'll do that, apparently she didn't disconnect it and just noted that I don't want the current promo anymore. I called in March because I got billed again, so this is the second time I told them that I NO LONGER WANT XFINITY. The person I spoke with said she'll disconnect it. Lo and behold I got billed AGAIN in April even if I am no longer using their services. I called again this April and spoke with Orin from the billing department. He's saying that the only note in their system is that I called in February saying I no longer want the promo but there's no documentation that I called Xfinity to have my service disconnected. He said he will disconnect it but he can't do anything about the billing because there's no proof that I asked for it to be disconnected -- this is so frustrating because they just rely on the documentation of customer agents. I told him they can pull all the recording of the times I called but I guess they wouldn't go an extra mile to do that. SO BETTER RECORD ALL YOUR CALLS YOU MAKE TO THIS PROVIDER. So Orin disconnected my services but forwarded my call to Retention department because he said he can't fix my bill even if he is from the billing department. The person from the retention department said she can't change it because I'm already disconnected from xfinity so she passed me back to billing but my call got disconnected. Called a couple of times and got transferred and disconnected until I was able to speak with Glenn. Glenn said he will get the billing fixed and I can check after 48 hrs. to see if the system has updated the changes he made. I will update my review if this indeed gets fixed. But only Glenn understood what I was complaining about from the get go and he fixed it. (I guess it was from the 3 cups of coffee he already had -- that's what he told me.) I would consider them the worst internet provider in the world, but they are wore than that. I can get better internet service from McDonald's because xfinity will bill you regardless of their ability to provide any service. I should report them to my financial institution as fraud sense they are unable to provide the services I paid for. It has been over a year trying to get reliable internet from xfinity and they just keep increasing the bill without ever providing the services they are charging for. My issue is not with the employees who came to the house to do the actual installation of service to the house but with the billing. I had just prurchased the house and was told that I could do self install because "SERVICE WAS AT THE PROPERTY" Self instal is easy so I made the decision to signup with Xfinity. When I went to install the system I found all the connections to the house were not Xfinity. I Could not self install. Technician came to property and confirmed there was no serevice at the house for Xfinity and had to run new lines. I was charged $100 for services of technicians. This should not be the case since I was told incorrect information about having service to my house. Secondly the internet provided throttles faster and slower depending on time of day making my job harder to use. Lastly; when I reached out to customer service rep over the $100 charge all he would say was that I eas told there would be a charge and not listen to anything I had to say. VERDICT - I will switch providers...$100 is not the problem it's that I had no choice because there was no service at the house as I was informed. If Xfinity feels $100 is that important.. they just lost a customer. read more

I wish we had options other than Comcast's XFinity. The company and it's service is loathsome, unreliable, and a serious pain. My internet goes out routinely and "Customer Service" is an oxymoron. Before I could reach a human, I was forced to listen to advertisements in order to access the menu. Then when the automated process disconnected, I had to listen to start all over and--you guessed it!--listen to the ad AGAIN. After much effort, calls, robotexts, etc., the human was less than competent. A family member has many, many tech certs. I'm also reasonably tech savvy myself. When the rep tried to give me an explanation that made zero technical sense, I handed the phone to my family member to see if I was missing something. Nope. All the neighbors are waiting for the fiber to be run (it IS coming). We'll have a mass exodus from Comcast. Xfinity/Comcast sucks!!! Taking off TCM and shifting it to their sports package is so insulting, I don't even know where to begin. Such a money grubbing company. I will be MISSING the 31 days of OSCAR. I enjoyed that so much during the early winter. When you contact them, suggestions fall on deaf ears. I split my internet and cable between the only two providers available to me, Fios for the internet and Comcast for the cable. Fios is really not much better for the cable, but in my area, they do provide the more reliable internet service. The Comcast signal here is more reliable, so I am stuck with them. The automated call service to even get to speak to a non American agent is THE WORST. I spent over 15 mins trying to speak to an actual person. They have it set up to where they were asking me to pay by bill over 5 different times when all of the services I pay for are not working. They constantly threaten you that they are going to cut services when I'm not even late with my bill. WORST COMPANY I've ever encountered and I've lived in over 5 states. I wish someone would sue Xfinity or make it to where they could no longer be a company because their services are more laughable. Worst internet/phone service provider ever. I've never had them for TV/cable and hopefully never will. I had to purchase home phone service, as I work from home but for a private company. We already had internet through Comcast, so I got online and purchased (or so I thought) home phone service. I figured I'd use the same provider for both, why not? The next day, Comcast calls. Apparently my request for service didn't go through and I can't order home phone service added with my internet online. They have to do it over the phone. Who knows why? Anyway, there was a price difference too, and they said I *had* to bundle the services. The "bundle" was actually $5 more than the internet cost + phone service. Why?!?! Pretty backwards practice! When the technician came out to install my home phone- as they said I *had* to have one come out- he was not very professional at all. He did come on time, I will give him that, but he wasn't wearing any sort of company identification. I'm a female, working from my home, and I see a guy in street clothes when I peep out to answer the door, then he claims to be from the company. With all the extra money they got from me, between the $5 more charge to bundle plus having to pay for him to come out, and having to pay for a special modem, can't they at least get the poor technician a Comcast nametag and polo? read more

So we asked to cancel our service...so we were transfered...and in the end... a totally compitent woman on the canceling extension took care of our simple problem...and was NICE apologizing for the BS... Comcast you need to train your people...also they need to be able to speak English... The worst company. They will sign you up for services you do not agree to, then offer you $10 off for paperless and auto payment, then they use the wrong email address so you don't know they did it. You never get your payment statement and you are paying more than you agreed. After an hour of trying to fix it they kept trying to upsell me and then dropped my pmt from $153 mo to $56 per month as that was the correct payment but no offer of refund even though they can see the TV and phone service were NEVER used. Comcast customer service is the WORST I have ever experienced in ANY company. I worked for T-Mobile customer care years ago for 3 years and I thought it was tough there. Comcast never follows through with anything they say they are going to do and when you call them, 90% of the time you are directed to overseas to someone who barley speaks English and give you a fake ass English name. They will also tell you they have no way of transferring you back to the states to speak with someone here. If they do, tell them to transfer you to the cancellation/termination dept. You'll get someone in America then. If you ever have any issue that requires you to call, be ready. It is NEVER an easy fix and they lie to you to make you happy. My personal advice is to write everything down. Write the date and time you called, the person's "name" and their employee number. Just because they say they are putting it in your notes, doesn't mean they are and make sure you verify it is being recorded. However, eventually, do not accept what the "customer care" person tell you, get a supervisor on the line and be prepared to wait. They will place you on hold FOREVER hoping you will just hang up. Finally, after they help you and you get that e-mail to score the person's help....do NOT do it until they have done what they said they were going to do. Which is never. read more

If I could take away stars I would. WORST COMPANY EVER!! Had me wait 13 hrs for connect and after 5 phone calls, NEVER SHOWED. (I have leukemia and they literally gave me a window from 8am-8pm, then kept me on the phone another hour). Then told me the following day I had to pay an additional $60 service fee if I wanted them to come out (2 days later) The next day my business partner was getting xfinity at her condo and asked if I could wait for the service person. Time was from 1-3. I arrived at 12:10, sat with door ajar waiting. My partner showed up at 2:15 and said she received a call the tech was here. I told her no one has come. We called and sure enough....THEY WENT TO THE WRONG HOUSE! They were WAY LESS then apologetic and said she would be happy to reschedule the hookup for another time! THIS WAS NOT OUR FAULT! Comcast truly takes the cake when it comes to bad service in the Charleston area. The story I'm about to tell happened one year ago but I'm sure the service hasn't excelled since. The technican was suppose to come between 4-8p. He came at 8:15p which all things considered... is excellent service from Comcast. Here's where it goes downhill... quick. He's new, he doesn't know what he's doing, and he needs a therapist. While he is trying to figure out how to install the cable box he's also telling me about his move from OH, how he lost his dog, how he hates his roommate, etc. This continues for one hour. Long story short - I ask him to leave and come again another day. He won't because he doesn't want to get fired. He said he needs to check the hook ups in the other rooms. Umm, okay. Why not? I don't immediately follow him but when I do - he's in my closet with a look of confusion/fear/delight. Huh? What? Oh, I get it. He has opened my underwear drawer and I caught him. Sweet jesus. I actually took time off of work to facilitate the cable repairman... twice. They rescheduled the first appointment, and never appeared the second time. We finally decided that we didn't NEED those 5 channels, and could live with the deteriorating signal. Our experience with internet has been even worse. They periodically update the system, knowing that older modems (like the one they issued you) won't be compatible. Only when you call to complain, do they consider it a problem. read more

You'd think that when Comcast is the ONLY service we're allowed to have on the Naval Weapons Station, they'd treat us a little better than I treat the crud I scrape off my boots... Nope. Comcast supposedly had signed us up for automatic billing when I SPECIFICALLY REQUESTED it upon signing up for service in October. Last night, my internet didn't work. I figured it was a glitch and went to bed. This morning, it still didn't work, so my husband called. He found out they didn't do what we asked, and they said they'd process payment right away and get our internet back up within 2 hours. I checked our bank online and sure enough, payment came out. I went about my day and came home 8 hours later... and no internet. We spent over an hour on the phone on hold, were hung up on twice and finally had to hook our laptops up to our mobile hotspots to get ahold of a technician online. She fixed it. That still didn't make up for the sassy attitudes and snarky comments from the representatives. The way Comcast treats their PAYING CUSTOMERS is disgusting. They need to do something to fix it. Hopefully Balfour Beatty will listen to the service members and their families who complain about the way we're treated when there is a monopoly on the service to the base-- because Comcast only cares that they get their money. I think it is hard to imagine a worse internet and cable provider. You may wish to go for root canal as an alternative to using Xfinity. The experience will be more pleasurable and it probably won't be a robot that will perform your root canal. Now hears the real killer: TCM is one of my favorite channels. I'm gay and not one of those gays that loves sports. I barely know a football from a baseball (that's an exaggeration but not a big one). TCM has now been taken off of my package where it happily resided for years. Get this, it's now been added to THE SPORTS EXTRA PACKAGE! Right, everyone knows that people who love old movies are also by definition HUGE sports fans. Give me a break. I have nothing against sports-lovers. But let them pay for sports to watch sports. I want my TCM back. But not as part of a sports "package." First time writing a review ever. I actually have no complaints about the internet in its self but JESUS some of the people who work the phone lines and customer service leave little to be desired. I recently moved and called to switch my internet. Probably the easiest thing to do. Went smooth. Even had to call back to change my disconnect day b/c the closing date was changed. Easy once again. Now this is where it gets stupid. I get to the house (finally get power, a whole different issue) plug the modem in and get nothing. I spend an hour on the phone with them trying to get the modem working. to no joy. keep in mind their computer says internet is running to the house. I call back in the AM around 730 and get the most worthless person ever who begins to tell me that i failed the self install and someone had to come to do it for me with a service charge. I explained to here that i spent and hour on the phone last night and there is no internet in the house what so ever so i cant attempt to do a self install and i cant fail at something i never actually attempted to do. This lady was not having it and pretty much tried to shut me down by saying you have to have a installer come out. So i reluctantly agreed to it and said fine. Well this particular customer care representative and i use that word loosely failed to actually book it for me. all this happened on 13th. I also was transferred to Comcast that dealt only with the north east portion of the US. She was on a role that morning. multiple phone calls later flash forward to today. I call to find out if my previous address had been disconnected b/c i was told i couldn't turn my new account on without the old account being disabled. Well that not true and i kind of feel bad for arguing with the lady but anyway lil miss attitude connected me with worthless person number 2. he did not care what i had to say. i tried explain to him that i cant activate my modem because there is now internet and he basically just transferred me to someone else. He couldn't locate my account which billing just had pulled up and was arguing with my over my old address. that how i found out i had a new account number which was surprisingly (sarcasm) not given to me when i transferred services to my new address. There was a bright spot in my dealing with comcast. poor Gareth got the end of the rope with me and he managed to help me out. he did more in the 15 min i was on the phone with him then worthless 1 and 2 could ever do for me. he even sent a message out to all the installers if they had a cancelation on install could they come and service my house due to the failed attempt of scheduling my install. Gareth even called me back when he realized he gave me the wrong account number. he was missing two zeros. If you dont like dealing with upset customers either get out of the customer service industry or have a little talk with comcast and tell them to get their Sh*t together. read more

Now I understand why friends complain about this service. I scheduled installation payed the $50 fee and when the technician showed up I was informed they do not service my area. On top of that The technician keep walking in to by home with out knocking. Upon his last unannounced visit he handed me his phone so I could tell someone at Xfinity they do not service my area? I then asked the phone rep about my refund and was told I would have to call customer service. After I called customer service and waited over 25 minutes I was told my $50 refund would take 4-6 WEEKS! The previous house we were in we had their service. Because we broke our contract, they charged us $190 for breaking the contract. When we went into the Xfinity store, the sales rep said because we were moving to an area that does not support Xfinity, that we would not be charged the cancellation fee. So Your Customer Service Rep Lied to us. First off, your service was not that great anyways. Your internet lagged 90% of the time. Your customer service sucks. AVOID this company at all costs! This company seemed like a decent conpany from someone coming from another couontry looking to find a solution just right for their needs. In fact it was great to start out. But unfortunately the deal was too good to be true. We had asked for a monthly sevice where we could have Cromcast and pay month to month for unlimited Intrnet, we were not interested in regular TV because we don't watch it, and Infinity was just the company we were looking for. In fact the whole time we had there service we could never complain. Until......................................... we had to move. Of coures I contacted them right away asking if we could keep their service, because we were happy with it, and just move it to our new home. They unfortunately informed us that did not provide service where we were going, and that we would have to stop service. We were a little sad about this because as I've already mentioned they had just what we were looking for and we were happy with them. Ok, so at this point we were told where to take back the decoder and that we were paid up in full so our business with them was done. No problems thus far. We took back the decoder right away and that was that. So you can imagine my surprise when I get a bill from them about a month later saying we owe them 101 dollars! What? For what? So of course I call them to find out where their mistake was and they try to tell me that we owe them for early termination fee, excuse me! We didn't even want to terminate, so how is it they can turn around and say we owe them money for a service not even rendered? WRONG! They don't even offer service where we live but illegally think they can charge us for something they can't even offer. I obviously told them I had NO intentions on paying them for something I never used or got so that it that.
