Badically whatever you can think of they offer! can you play sports, cook, dance, draw.. Just about anything. Academically they offer great courses and have helpfull facilities like the writing center! There they help you with all your esseys projects aso! The U has a large campus and sometimes you can get lost but people are always helpfull! The only thing is the tuition but i guess it is a prive school and it is the name you are paying for! Deffinitely would reccomend!

Attending the University of Miami was one of the biggest mistakes I have ever made in my life…read more First of all, the price of attendance is extremely high. I transferred from a state school where I had full financial aid, to the UM. The quality of education does not math the price point, classes at UM are filled with students who act like dead wait. When a professor asks for discussion, hardly anyone speaks; the students are in an adderall and Xanax induced haze. UM has a tremendous adderall problem, I can't even begin to count the times I walked around campus and found adderall pills littered on the ground. Or been in the library and heard "I think I took too much, I feel weird." Thirdly UM goes to tremendous lengths to victim blame or cover up any on campus domestic violence or rape. When I was there I was a victim of domestic violence, rather than provide counseling and solace, I was met with meetings with the incentive and overweight dean almost everyday. The man involved in this incident was let off completely while I faced shame from the school and disciplinary action. Pick a different school. UM is great if you love to be overheated and love to be around people who do not care about your success or future.

Unfortunately, my experience with the Miami-Dade College Community Director and staff was disappointing, as their behavior came across as unprofessional. Situations like these should be handled with courtesy and professionalism, especially when representing an educational institution such as MDC--one whose mission is to support community engagement and educational advancement. It is unfortunate that an event with such a positive purpose was overshadowed by this experience.

This is my daughter's first time going to college, and the experience we hoped for was not given to us. They do not have any sense of time management or care for the fellow students. We have been here two days in a row waiting for our appointment. The wait time is unbelievable and we should not be getting treated this way as we are part of the MDC family. Although this college is a community one and cheaper than most options, it definitely lives up to the downplay and why people are embarrassed to attend this school. I am very disappointed in the admissions office and the school in general. Furthermore, my daughter will ATTEMPT to finish one year here at this school, and will be continuing her education elsewhere.

I came to take my LSAT at this location for the 2019 July test. Honestly, I couldn't find much…read moreinformation about this testing center on any of the sites. Most test centers were located at most of the MDC campuses but something led me to take a chance on this place. I've passed this building a million times passing Arthur Godfrey Road heading in and out of the beach over the Julia Tuttle Causeway but never had the need to come for any specific reason. Well, I'm really glad I chose this location. Although the parking situation was a bit weird to access and find, the entire testing process was on point. I wasn't freezing and the chairs were comfortable which offered silver linings to this brutal exam. Everyone was really nice and the restrooms were clean. It's literally right on the cusp of the highway entrance to the southwestern end of Alton. It's a Jewish college focusing on studies regarding religious higher education. I even scoped out some students who live on campus hanging out on their balconies while on campus. I believe they only offer one major with is Torah Studies. For those adherent to their faith in combination with their education, this small private university is probably on their radar.

My experience with this school has been extremely stressful and disappointing. I am writing this…read morereview because I wish I had known these things before enrolling. During the admission process, the school is very nice and makes everything sound good and easy. But after you enroll, my experience has been very different. There are so many changes to schedules, testing, wording, and requirements, sometimes with very little notice. This school is NOT fully remote. Every semester you have to travel to Florida to take your final exams in person. For students who live out of state, this can be extremely stressful. At other schools, when finals are coming, you can stay home, focus on studying, and prepare for your exams. Here, you are dealing with clinicals, traveling away from home, and studying for finals at the same time. The last-minute changes are another major problem for me. Students have jobs, families, and other responsibilities. We cannot always change our plans at the last minute because the school changes a testing date or schedule. It feels like the school makes changes based on what works for them without considering how those changes affect students. Another issue is the way things are worded or renamed. Requirements can be called different things over time, which makes it confusing for students to understand what is actually required. For example, what was referred to as an exit exam is now called an Academic Quiz. Students should make sure they understand exactly what these requirements mean and what is required for graduation. The financial process is also something students should be very careful about. In my experience, I was not clearly told that there was an option to pay tuition out of pocket. Instead, the school proceeded with loan paperwork and asked students to sign it. Some students may be able to pay for school themselves and may not want to take out a loan. I believe students should be clearly informed about their payment options before any loan paperwork is completed or signed. Please read every financial document carefully before signing anything. Make sure you understand whether you are agreeing to a student loan and how much you will be responsible for paying back. Honestly, at times this program has felt more like a punishment than a nursing program. The combination of traveling to Florida, clinicals, in-person finals, last-minute changes, testing, and stress can be overwhelming. It can also feel very difficult to change your situation once you are already enrolled and have invested your time and money. I also feel that the school is more focused on making money than supporting students. That is my personal experience, and I think future students should know what they may be getting into before making a commitment. If you are from California, make sure you independently check the California Board of Registered Nursing requirements before enrolling in an out-of-state program. Do not assume that everything will meet California requirements just because the school accepts students from California. My advice is to think very carefully before enrolling. Do your own research, ask many questions, and get important information in writing. Do not rely only on what you are told during the admission process. For me, this experience has been extremely stressful, and I would not recommend this school based on my experience.

I am currently taking a Kaplan course at FIU. It is very helpful in the way that Kaplan provides…read moreyou with certain strategies and study materials that you would not regularly have access to. In addition, they have great teachers that are willing to help you with any problems you may have. The professor that's teaching my class if very good, friendly and willing to help you whenever you have a problem. No joke, she gives you her cell phone to call her whenever. The study materials are plenty and you'll never run out of practice questions and tests. In fact, I'll probably give away my extra books to students who need them. I have been studying with Kaplan for a little over a month, and I have noticed a substantial increase in my average score -- I was averaging 145 and now I'm up to 155. However, the increase in your average score will depend on how much you're willing to put into the course and time you set aside for studying. Although the study experience is great, the classroom experience is not. Since Kaplan is independent from FIU they switch classes everyday, and you'll always find yourself in a different room with different desks -- tiny desks are a bitch. Also, the rooms are kept below freezing, and I have to bring a parka just to stay warm. I haven't had any other problems besides the situation in the classrooms, though. I definitely recommend this course for anyone who is thinking about taking the LSAT. It will absolutely help you study and raise your average score. If you are going to sign up for the class at FIU, make sure you take it with Deborah Osborn.
