History
Established in 1985.
Since 1985, Wyllie Martial Arts has been helping children, teens and adults across Sydney build confidence, discipline, fitness and real martial arts skills.
Founded by the Wyllie family and still family-owned today, our gym has grown into one of Sydney’s most respected martial arts communities. What started as a passion for teaching traditional martial arts has evolved into a modern training facility offering Taekwondo, Boxing, Kickboxing and fitness programs for all ages and experience levels.
For nearly 40 years, we’ve focused on more than just punches and kicks — we help students become stronger, more confident and more resilient both inside and outside the gym.
Whether your goal is self-defence, fitness, competition, confidence, or helping your child thrive, our mission remains the same:
Make it happen.
Meet the Business Owner: Greg W.
Greg Wyllie founded Wyllie Taekwondo in 1985 with a passion for helping people build confidence, discipline and resilience through martial arts.
Over the decades, the club developed a strong reputation for high-quality instruction and a welcoming family environment.
As the gym evolved, the next generation of the Wyllie family expanded the vision into Wyllie Martial Arts — now offering Taekwondo, boxing, kickboxing and fitness programs for kids, teens and adults across Sydney.
Today, Greg continues to play a key role in mentoring students and maintaining the strong community values the gym was built on.
