Let's start with the program itself. It's great. Why? It's not a diet. You can eat whatever food you want. If you want to eat junk - it's ok. You just have to learn to count the points of what you eat and stay within the limits of those points. Most days I eat very well in terms of making healthy choices. But when I don't I no longer feel like I'm cheating, the diet is off and I'm a failure! Nope! I just count the points and move on. In the 8 weeks I have been in the program I have lost 17 pounds. Amazing.
That should have been enough for me to want to post a review to Yelp. But the real inspiration was because of my leader. Sara Corcoran is so amazing, very inspiring and super funny. When I joined WW I went to three meetings in two days to find the "best" leader after hearing from several long time friends who are lifetime members of WW that you need a leader you like. Now I don't think my friends intended for me to go to a meeting an hour til I did (one friend said, Sandra, this is not like AA - you don't go to a meeting every time you're hungry!) but I'm glad I did because I found Sara.
If you need to lose weight, don't go on a diet. Go to Weight Watchers and learn how to get a life instead of going from one diet to the next. And if you live in Cumming, go to Sara's meetings. :-) read more
