I picked up a free copy of the Dayton Jewish Observer at All The Best Deli and ended up spending a…read morechunk of time flipping through it. My issue was the 30th anniversary edition, complete with a cover showing some of their earlier front pages, which was a fun touch. It bills itself as "The Miami Valley's Jewish Monthly" and the mix of local reporting, cultural pieces and community history makes it an easy read even if you're just passing through. There were plenty of interesting articles, many with a clear Jewish slant but broad enough to appeal to anyone curious about regional stories. A review of a graphic novel about the first synagogue in the United States (in New York - I thought it was in Charleston South Carolina), reflections on three decades of publishing, and updates on their digitization project that includes predecessor papers going back to 1944 all stood out. It's a surprising rich little publication and worth grabbing if you see a copy around town. [Review 965 of 2026 - 341 in Ohio - 26144 overall]

I genuinely wish that I could give MORE than FIVE STARS! The…read moreowner says that they are dedicated to "Supreme Customer Service." And, WOW do they live up to it! I went in to ask about some vinyl graphics for our personal vehicle. The staff was very friendly, but they specialize more on commercial accounts, like vinyl wraps for a fleet of vehicles. At this point I realize that they will not be selling me anything. BUT the employee stopped what he was doing and got clarification of what EXACTLY we were looking for. He then calls the Owner to get us some free advice and direction. That's right, even after we all understood that they don't do what I needed, they continued to try to help me! The owner's comment was, "Even if we can't do what you need, we want to help you any way that we can, even if it is just pointing you in the right direction." The owner then followed up with me MULTIPLE times until I found the right company to do what I needed. The whole process reminded me of the movie, "Miracle on 34th street" where the department store Santa sent the families to other stores, just to make sure that they were taken care of. This company knew (5 minutes into meeting us) that they could not do what we needed, but they just kept helping us until we found the right place. If they are this dedicated to someone that is not doing business with, I can only image the EPIC LEVEL of service they must give their "Paying customers." Obviously, I cannot recommend them highly enough. And I was able to see the TOP QUALITY work that they were doing while I was there! This place is 100% THE BEST!!!
