where to start.... first red flag was
"Chris" gave me original price I notice the price for the pump was 30 percent higher then Listed in any local stores I mentioned it where the owner got irate told me I could get it myself . I found this strange we continued ,
labour for a day and materials were 862.50 taxes in for "one days" worth of work and one Guy 10 hours as giving to me in paper
I thought this was a little high as the materials were low cost but I wanted it done.
I asked my mom to stay home as it was a new person I didn't know in the house so she stayed there they had to make 6 trips the first day to the hardware store to get what they needed and failed to complete The job Chris told me at the end of the day, the day he wanted to change the agreement to bill hourly for the rest of the project.
I told him I felt the person who he had doing the work who is not a registered or certified plumber in any regard resserch and teach himself on my time how to do the project .
even my mom notice that the trips to the hardware store just didnt make any sense as I came home early to give him a hand and check up on the progress I was disappointed to find only a few hours of work have been done.
I told chris With this there is no way I could pay hourly for this type of project and work I told him if he wants to continue it has to be at the Original price or pay for what was done on that day and be done with our whole Deal .
Chris promised me that he would go good for the original price, As it only a couple more hours they just don't have the material or tools to complete it today .
I was really frustrated at this point of the workmanship and the behaviour and the mistrust.
The young guy came in the next day and did the final hookups and we did our test of the function and it backed water up through main drain putting water all over my basement floor they told me that they would be by the next available day but it's going to be time and material
to fix what they have done I told them there no way that's happening.
I want a professional to come in and take a look at the issue because this whole situation is becoming a circus.
I got a actually plumber to come look at the work take he told me he can fix it but he has to take apart the main hookups they have done.
I have documented this whole process I have picture of progress each day and the fixing of the problem, and video.
The icing on the cake is that Chris of the Wright brothers Invoiced me for 60% percent over the price in the email and what price he promised me for just shy of 1400 for 2 days and a mess to clean up .
nowheres in the email was there any conditions of raising the price nor did I sign anything saying so.
862.50 was the price and it was just slightly lower then couple other quotes I got ,
Now he claiming payment for near double for a job he couldn't finish properly and now going to cost me money to fix. I wanted to come to agreement for the original price but I want a recite for the project he told me the invoice is the invoice he wants an E-transfer/ not cash and recite.
Just stay away from this guy
He going to cause someone a lot of money fixing his mistakes and for his business ethics and Etiquettes show promise to break relations send return clients running away . read more
