Unfortunately, this station is one of the few stations that come through FM without static. The…read morestation is dated and out of touch with their listeners. One would think that since the station is in the same town as Ball State University, the music would be more relevant. I think this station's demographic is the same age as the people running it because I cannot see anyone under the age of 40 appreciating this station for more than 30 minutes. The morning show is one reason why I purchased Spotify Premium because I want to enjoy music while I'm getting ready and heading to work in the morning; not senseless talking that any podcast could substitute. Maybe the station needs to bring in some new employees or the station could put out a public survey on suggestions. Radio is dying because of stations like this.

(In other words, what is wrong with hearing a mix from 1997? It's not that they haven't updated their playlist, they just mix in old and new! I wish more stations had an appreciation for 'old' music!) YES, I am female and NO, I AM NOT an all black wearing, crazy mascara concert going, goth type person - far from it, exact opposite - I believe... But I love to hear some good Nirvana mixed in or some old Beastie Boys, etc, etc, etc... Where most stations play the same 'hot list' of about 20 songs over and over again so that every hour you hear the same songs again and again... NOT here! This station was very alternative only in the early years and then they turned a little harder with the mostly only harder alternative groups (Rob Zombie and such) but I like how now they have all of that and even mix in some Dave Mathews and Coldplay and other similar groups!! I don't agree with the sleazy image portrayed upon women due to the ill taste in photos/post and overall image this station currently has towards women... I'd say CLEAN this up!! This alone makes me not happy to be a loyal supporter! Personally, I love this station as I know many who do... I have even heard others wish there was a station similar to this in their city! This station needs some more good reviews!! I know they are out there, Add yours!!!

This radio station is part of the "K Love" network. No programming is done locally. This is a…read moreChristian radio station, but as far as I can tell, they play only "praise music", which is one sub-genre within the bigger umbrella of Christian or gospel music. In fact, their genre is so narrow, that it all sounds alike to me. It's as if they have only three songs in their playlist. Of course there's more, but it all sounds the same. Not only that, most of the music is amateurish compared to what you normally hear on broadcast radio, even on traditional Christian or gospel stations. The performers are invariably young-sounding (college age or 20-somethings.) This is an ad-free, "user supported" radio network. They get some corporate donations, and the donors are mentioned occasionally, but they are more like acknowledgements than commercials. This is just my opinion, but combine the fact they are ad-free with the amateurish music, and it makes me think they are limited to royalty-free songs by young artists who are just trying to get exposure. Their website, www.klove. com, talks about their ministry being more than just the radio stations, and that seems fine. Kudos to them for their good intentions, and all the good things they do in their ministry. Their heart is in the right place. And God bless the artists who pour their heart and soul into the music. But as far as the quality and listen-ability goes, the music and the programming choices of this station are just not commecial broadcast quality. I'd rather listen to tapes of Sandi Patti, Pat Boone, (Debbie Boone even), and [gasp!] the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. There are at least two other Christian radio stations in the Indianapolis market., including WQME, http://www.yelp.com/biz/wqme-fm-98-7-anderson When I want uplifting music, I rotate between them. The boring repetitive sameness and the amateurish quality make it so I can listen to WKLU for only 1 or 2 songs, and then I have to change stations. Note to the owners: I'd gladly listen to commercials in order to get a wider variety and a higher quality of music. (200th "first" review.)
