He listened to my elderly father's symptoms. He took the time to figure out what was wrong with him with one visit. He also gladly communicated with me as I live out of state and explained next steps and a clear treatment plan. I will be eternally grateful to him from the bottom of my heart, no exaggeration. The best.

However, when…read moreI called him recently to get a mask medical exemption for respiratory issues, he said to me, "I know it's uncomfortable, but it's ok to feel dizzy, nauseous, light-headed, and have difficulty breathing with a mask and mild asthama." Mind you, I had been going there for 34 years. I had the HIGHEST respect for him and had recommended other patients to his practice. His callous attitude and lack of understanding has caused me to search out a new physician. I don't know what happened to him, but I don't feel a need to receive care (or lack thereof) from a doctor who apparently does not give a damn anymore about his patients.

I visited the Jefferson Brentwood Breast Center this week for a routine mammogram. It was a…read morepleasant, very clean facility with clear signage that made it easy to find my way. I was seen by wonderful imaging tech who obviously knew her stuff and moved things right along (the best mammogram techs definitely have some of the best people skills on the planet, if you ask me!). Afterward, I went downstairs to get some blood work done which had been previously ordered by my nurse practitioner. A wonderfully streamlined and nearly 100% painless process, facilitated by a pleasant and highly skilled phlebotomist. It couldn't have gone better. My only concern: at the mammogram check-in, at the front of the patient line next to mine, a prospective patient was being quizzed by a staff member. Seems that the patient was in the prep process for some sort of surgery(?). The staff member seemed quite hard of hearing and spoke incredibly loudly. Everyone in the check-in line, but also those who were in the waiting room 30 feet away, could hear every word as the staffer asked questions. Did the patient have tattoos, piercings, breast augmentations, etc. The patient answered softly and seemed mortified that her business was being broadcast so widely. I have good hearing, but I had to lean in very close to the other staff member to hear what she was telling me because her colleague was speaking so loudly. Perhaps pre-op sessions could be done in a private room(?)

I feel like I need to update my review as things have drastically changed…read more I'll start off by saying that Allegany Health Network as a whole has really declined in their quality of care, and I refuse to see anyone that is affiliated with AHN. Dr. Naguit, a once caring and compassionate doctor, cares little about her patients. She doesn't listen, interrupts you, and then glosses over any concerns you have. She also pushes new products constantly which just makes you feel like guinea pig/cash cow for kickbacks. I had been telling her for 2 years that something wasn't right. Despite my concerns she never did any bloodwork in those 2 years even though certain things should be monitored due to medications I take. My last visit with her was in October 2020. She recommended that I see a psychiatrist. Turns out I didn't need a psychiatrist -- I just needed a knowledgeable doctor who cared more about their patients than what's in their pockets. It appears as though I have both Lupus and Scleroderma. I now know I've had numerous symptoms that point to an autoimmune disease for years, but she never so much as gave me a referral for a rheumatologist. Had I not sought out other care I probably would have never known. The 2 stars was for the short time spent in the waiting room.
