I don't normally re review places but I haven't left a review in 13 years and I have been there…read moremany times since but not lately because there is a Chinese place close to work that I have been going to out if convince. I thought today that I would visit my old friend and even though I have been around the world with the menu that dam general Taos chicken dinner combination is my favorite. The general Taos chicken combination comes with chicken fried rice and an egg roll. The chicken is always big moist chunks of tender velveted chicken which I can't tell if it's white or dark meat because of the velveting process but I like it. The egg roll isn't the tiny ones that became the norm over the years and it's super average like 95 % of Asian restaurants now, not like years past when the egg roll was a signature staple in Asian restaurants and they made really good ones. The combination chicken fried rice is that kind you find on most combination menus, not the main dish dark fried rice full of meat and veggies but just enough to accompany the main dish. Overall it's tasty enough and better than the average neighborhood Chinese restaurant and for a dinner combination that was 2 1/2 pounds of food for $13.50, price vs quality vs taste it's a winner.

We ordered food here over the holidays after seeing several positive reviews about their dim sum…read moreofferings. The dim sum was excellent, very tasty and flavorful. Which led us to order again on another occasion to try their regular menu items. This time around, we were slightly disappointed. The flavors felt a bit flat, especially with the seafood dishes, which we were hoping would be more bold and well-seasoned. For reference, both orders were takeout. We didn't dine in at the restaurant. I'd still be open to trying them again in the future, especially given how much we enjoyed the dim sum the first time

I went w the shanghai soup dumplings and wontons w chili oil in addition to some crab rangoons. Now I didn't have super high expectations for take-out soup dumplings, and they were pretty much exactly what I was expecting. They were good, flavor was fine, they seemed a little fatty, which I wasn't expecting. The dipping sauce was my favorite part. Now the wontons w chili oil on the other hand were an amazing take-out option that I will be getting again. Pork and shrimp w a spicy chili oil, flavor was great, texture was great. Will be getting again. The crab rangoons were also pretty good. Nice and crispy w a good amount of cream cheese filling. Overall, the food was good and there is a lot on the menu that I will be back to try. Probably wouldn't get the soup dumplings as a take out option again, but would consider getting them in-restaurant.

Solid Chinese sanji option in the area. We like doing pickup here because it's easy and reliable…read more Pro tip: get the MINI sanji instead of the regular ones. They come out crispier and are served in a delicious sweet-and-sour sauce with a very subtle kick. The regular sanji itself is well seasoned, but too doughy. The green scallion pancakes were not life-changing, but still good - probably among the better ones I've had in Milwaukee. Other dishes, like the fried rice, are pretty standard American Chinese food. The dim sum feels more pre-made, and the selection is limited anyway. I'd treat those more as sidekicks to the main order rather than something to get too excited about.

I remember when this restaurant was new and it was crazy busy all the time. I recently visited and…read moreit was a bit sad to see it nearly empty on a Saturday afternoon. There seemed to be no one working at the host/hostess station by the door or at the bar. We had to wait several minutes before someone noticed us to seat us. They offer a decent "lunch" special that also runs on weekends and until 3pm or so. I cannot say no to that Mongolian beef... which might have been even better than I remember. The chicken pad thai was a HUGE portion and looked/smelled incredible. I definitely want to try this in the future. The waiter was nice and attentive without being annoying. For a chain, I think the food is pretty dang amazing and the menu is quite extensive. I would recommend PF Chang's over the foot court any day!

This is our second time that we have gone in the past six months. This location used to be a "go…read moreto" years ago. I feel like every time we go it seems to be going downhill slower and slower. A few times ago, the service was not good and just cleanliness was t good either. Floors dirty and windows filthy etc. But we thought we'd give it a try again. Tonight when we sat down at the table. The server came promptly, which was great! We just ordered waters and wanted to eat, so we ordered right away! After we ordered, I looked down and noticed there was rice in between the table placemat under both mats and also on the other side was dried sauce and chunks of food stuck onto the table. Simple mistake and but we switched tables. Right when we sat down, I took the wine glasses and slid them to the end of the table as we ordered water, and I figured they would take them. As I was moving them, I noticed that there was lipstick marks on one of them. As for the service, it started out well, but then he basically never came back to the table and other servers were helping us. The food was hot and good but the overall experience wasn't good and now being 2 back to back times and for the price, we will not be back, sadly. The restaurant is getting to be gross and use to be a nice dining place. Not it's like a fast food cheap feeling place that's overpriced for what you experience. So many better places now.
