Repairs on roof completed 2 years ago, which included fixing loose slates. I had to call them back a short while later as a few slated had slipped. Fast forward to 8 weeks ago and we had a leak in the bathroom ceiling. I spoke to Lee, and he asked me to call back on the Monday as he'd have a better idea of availability. I left a voicemail on the Monday, as no answer to call, and recieved no call back. 4 weeks further on, when we had monsoon like weather, and water marks start to appear on the ceiling of our top hall. We tried phoning, texting and e mailing and recieved no response. The work was guaranteed for 10 years. Our son in law went into our attic, and daylight could be seen in 4 separate places. We'd bo choice but to get another roofer in ( local and recommended. Should have done this in 1st place). He took several photos of the roof which he said was shocking. The tiles they had replaced ( obvious as different style to rest of roof) hadn't even been nailed in!!!! The flat roof they'd replaced had been walked on whilst hot , he said, as could see footprints in it, shortening its life span, and the rubbish from the old flat roof, had been thrown onto our adjoining neighbours roof!!! We ended up taking legal advice and sent a letter via e mail, and recorded delivery, advising them that action would be taken if they didn't respond and make good on their guarantee. Checkatrader have informed us today that they are no longer trading under Probuild but under Roof and Buildings and therefore our guarantee is null and void. AVOID..!!!!! Absolute cowboys.Had them out to repair broken render on my chimney breast, small job. Quoted over £1K for the work despite having cheaper quotes was happy to pay 'hoping it was done right. The 1st day they were due, they never appeared until after 2pm only because I had to call and text them. When the 2 guys appeared, there first question was "Where's the shop?" THEY were clearly not interested in the job at all. All day I could hear them moaning about being finished. A couple house in, they chapped my door to show the work. It was a mess. I told them straight, surely that's not finished..?!? They were not happy but it was a complete different colour render and also the texture was diner and looked unfinished. They said they could apply further coats. The 2nd day they appeared and were moaning they couldn't get parked closer, but if they had bothered ro arrive early morning, even at 9 they'd have got parked no problem. I felt as though I had to micro manage these guy's through all the work like f#@king babies. Despite my frustration I was very polite to the workers and offered them coffee and said just chap my door if they needed anything. It was dark the second day and was wet and so very hard to see the final result. It still didn't look great but paid them and gave them the benefit of the doubt. I also had to remind to clean up right because they made an ABSOLUTE MESS. They also left lots of muck all over the roof and said that the rain would wash it off. It didn't. My gutters are also full of stone chips and cement that they were supposed to clean. The same stuff is all over the roof. I monitored how it looked and had dried over the next couple of day's and it was a MESS. I didn't want perfection, but their work was not even close. They obviously have no clue how to properly render. I contacted the boss 'Lee' and told him I wasn't happy and asked he'd send them back to finish properly. He asked me to send pictures. I send pictures and a video. He called me and suggested he couldn't see what was wrong, clearly an attempt to deny any responsibility for BAD workmanship. I have now sent several text and calls suggesting he come himself to have a look and he will bo longer respond. Lee isn't man enough to even cone out and see the work his company have done. I have also not received my invoice nor supposed 10 year guarantee, which would be completely pointless anyway giving the shocking work. 2 day's after the work, my roof started LEAKING and so obviously his guys had broken several tiles. They also have broken the gutter. As I write this review, a company has just left after making a temporary roof repair and will finish the job properly tomorrow. I've also had 2 independent 'professional' contractors review Lee and Probuilds work on my chimney. They were stunned at the POOR workmanship. I've since requested my lawyer to build a report along with the findings from the building review ro commence LITIGATION against Pro build. Next time it may be an ELDERLY person or other. My advice, pay more and make sure they are a competent company who van do a professional job. DO NOT waste your money with Pro build. SHOCKING.. read more
