Blood on sheets. I hesitated on sharing this but for a worldmark this type of thing is not acceptable and it's honestly disgusting. The rooms are beautifully done and we didn't have any other issues but this one was a big deal and I asked management to contact me and no one did. I even felt like they were put out when we asked the front desk to change our sheets. I always pull my sheets back to check beds cause I'm weird like that. And this time there was blood spatter all over where your feet would be. I couldn't tell if it was fresh or stained but it was nasty. It even ruined a romantic evening when we discovered this. We took photos and videos and gave it to the front desk guy and I asked for someone to contact me. No one even apologized. And they weren't really shocked so it's obviously a common thing. Maybe they were just stained but either way looked like a murder scene lol. I'm not sure if we will stay here again because of it. I'm sharing in case it happens again or so they can fix the issue. White sheets should be white. No blood stains in a nice hotel. I'd expect that at a cheap motel but not a worldmark. I would like to say it's a great location and the employees were friendly. They will try to get you to go to a sales presentation and it's worth it to learn and get a freebie! The game room is fun and the pool was nice. I used the gym a lot as well. It's nice but some of the machines do not have plugs so that's strange. read more

After my Lyndon B. Johnson Library visit in Austin, TX, I headed straight to Worldmark (WM) New Braunfels in New Braunfels, TX. What a lovely resort! And what a huge 2 story 2 bedroom cabin-like unit! They only have 2 bedroom units at this resort so it was that or nothing. This resort is perfect for families. I was travelling by myself so it was more than enough space for me. At times, I was a little scared to be in the unit alone so I left the lights on during the night. Anyway, I'm part of the bold and fearless "CS" cult (inside joke for those who know LOL) so I did overcome my fears. If the unit wasn't so dang big... my fears would not have creeped up in the first place LOL. Check-in was a breeze. Staff was very pleasant and friendly. I had some wonderful conversations with Amy (concierge) and Lauren (manager)... thank you both for a very warm welcome. Got my unit key and drove over to Building 9 Unit 1024. The unit had two entrances which I thought was odd... I only used one of them. Bottom floor had the spacious living room, fantastic full kitchen, nice dining area, wonderful master bedroom with king bed + full bath, good size laundry room, and quaint guest restroom. Upstairs had the 2nd bedroom with queen bed and its respective bathroom, and a pleasant loft sitting area. Overall, the unit had great space and was very comfortable. I primary stayed downstairs since I didn't have any use for the upstairs. I also signed up for another WM owner's update even though I had already attended 2 WM owner's updates during my Texas trip thus far... but hey, if they offer it, I will be more than happy to entertain it... I think owners are allowed to attend as many as they want... at least that's what I've been informed. Any chance to get the owner in the door with sales, it's another opportunity for them to get a sale. Ken and Clint (sales folks) are very good at what they do and I commend them. They almost got me to buy more WM credits, but no cigar! Thank you Ken and Clint for your time and efforts (literally 3+ hours, but it was all good... didn't even feel like 3+ hours... we must have been having a lot of fun conversations LOL)! I appreciate you both for trying. And thanks for the gift! I was only here for 2 nights which was plenty for me. This location is very close to the famous town called Gruene. I spent my 2nd day walking around Gruene which I will do separate reviews for it. Would I stay at this resort again? YES I WOULD, but hopefully next time I will have more company with me so we can use the whole space rather than some space. Happy Worldmark'ing! read more

I booked/prepaid & received a confirmation for a stay at Worldmark New Braunfels, staying July 4-6, 2025. I booked & paid on June 6. On July 3rd, I was sent an email saying they had to cancel my reservation due to overbooking. They gave me 2 hotel options or a refund. The problem is that I have friends flying in from Colorado for this trip so a hotel will not suffice. Worldmark has left me and my group high and dry. I have found no accomodations that will fit within our budget and the space we need. There are terrible ramifications I have to deal with now, thanks to Worldmark and their lack of honoring a prepaid/confirmed reservation!! I spoke to Worldmark twice and directly to the property as well. NO ONE could help me! read more

My wife and a friend stayed here for a girl's weekend. Great hospitality and the friendliest hotel staff we've ever encountered. Beautiful grounds and townhouses with everything you could possibly need. Since we were traveling by uber we would have loved a small shop with grocery items. I'm guessing people usually have a car when they stay here but we didn't and didn't always want to uber for a coffee or snack. Again since have a full kitchen I'm guessing most customers have food with them etc. Gorgeous property close to so many activities. We wouldn't hesitate staying again if we are in the area. read more

Waited a long time for our room to be assigned. Pool was clean. Ample parking. Our daughters condo was large-3 bedroom 3 bath. She was on the list to ck out a day earlier which they accommodated. Both condos were clean. We found a scorpion in our bathroom sink! We killed it and flushed it. We googled would more be likely... yes a nest could be close!! It said do not flush alive, they can survive. Freaked me out last couple of days. Google even called them New Braunfels scorpions!!! I'm afraid to go back. I have bad allergies and asthma, not worth the risk to me. read more

The place we stayed in is pretty awesome. 2 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. Moen faucets, Kohler toilets,ginsu knives ( yes- they are actually decent), nice fridge, kenmore elite appliances, nice fans, awesome ceiling, own water heater and a Texas touch Honestly, if I owned a Cabin on 100 acres, this layout/floor plan would be look and feel that I would want. Great location. Near everything in New Braunfels. Heated pool, decent exercise room, friendly staff. Light switches are a kid height which is nice. Walking to gristmill and a few other places. Downside - really need to be Wyndham owner on a time share which IMO, timeshares are not worth it. Super friendly staff, they also have 3 arcade games ( Pac-Man, streetfighter and one other), a decent foosball table ( not a tornado table), a nice pool table and air hockey. Oh, and if you have time and aren't tired, you can rent a move - however they are $3/each/per night unless they are nice and let you have it for free. The TVs do have a VHS/DVD combo connected to them with about 40 channels that you can watch. They also have on demand but rentals are $10 - we were about to watch BOLT until we saw the $9.99 price tag The units are closely located to train tracks. The units in the back are "great candidates" to hear trains come by at night. The first night I didn't hear any;however, my wife heard a few the second night I think I heard 4 or 5. Yeah - hard to sleep when trains go by. Our son, slept through all of them. Beds are ok. Slept on better and worse. This a "timeshare unit" so if your are not a member be prepared for a sales pitch. They can be pushy and persist but they are doing their job. They are respectful, but have a job to do. read more

H-U-G-E! We were in TX for a 4-day event and this was the closest one I could get to San Antonio with availability. The unit was a 2 bedroom deluxe townhouse style with stairs inside. It had a maximum occupancy of 6. The problem was there was only me and the hubby and preferred a studio unit. This IS the smallest unit offered here in New Braunfels! We love our Worldmark membership, its like home away from home. After checking in at the registration office we drove to our unit and as soon as we opened the door it was like wow! the size of the unit was impressive. The master bedroom w/ King bed was downstairs, twin beds upstairs, and a Queen sofa bed in the living room. There were two sets of living rooms with flat screen TV's, each of the rooms had their own TV's as well. The kitchen was huge and as all Worldmark units fully equipped. There is a washer/dryer room and 2-1/2 baths. This was a house! The unit already has a starter supply of groceries and toiletries but HEB was just 3 miles away from the resort in case we needed to get more stuff. Unfortunately, our busy schedule did not allow us to enjoy the outdoor pool and hot tub, the recreation and fitness centers and other resort amenities. New Braunfels was 35 miles from our events in San Antonio but as we drove to and from the two cities we were able to check out the Animal World & Snake Farm and had some delicious kolaches from Shipley Donuts in New Braunfels, had Texas style BBQ at Rudy's, found a Boba Tea Lounge in Selma and visit the AT&T Center (home of the SA Spurs). The front office people are super friendly. We asked for a tea kettle, they didn't have one. Serena went above and beyond and went and bought one and gave it to us. The staff is great. We celebrated our anniversary and in our room was a bottle of wine and balloons. We had a great time. read more

The unit we were in was cutely decorated, clean and well maintained. In fact, the entire property was well maintained. This place is in a good location to restaurants, stores and whatnot. You will find it a very relaxing place to spend family time cooking and having some family fun time playing board games and such in this cozy, well stocked cabin like townhouse. read more

Deep in the heart of Texas, our 2 bedroom/2 bath was very spacious, and could accommodate up to 6 people. Be aware, their smallest units are the 2 bedroom deluxe. It has the feel of a townhouse with the loft on the second floor. The decor had a rustic feel and the staff supplied a Texas-sized dose of southern hospitality. The property is smack dab in the middle of Austin and San Antonio, so you can enjoy the best of both worlds. The only scary part about my stay was the tornado warning that occurred on our last night. As a west coast girl, I called the front desk to find out what to do during a tornado warning. Although she was as sweet as pie, she had no clue. Hopefully their management team will put together an emergency procedure for guests and their staff. Overall, WorldMark New Braunfels is a great location for families or large groups! read more

This complex is beautiful and in a perfect location - walking distance to Gruene. I've stayed here before and loved it. However, I had a horrible experience over NYE this week. I made reservations back in early September 2019 for a 3 bedroom condo, knowing that they fill up quickly, especially around holidays. My family of 7 arrived on NYE to check in and everything seemed to be fine. While they were cleaning the unit and getting it ready, we walked to Gruene to walk around the shops and have lunch at Gristmill. Just after we ordered, I received a phone call from WorldMark that they were no longer able to honor our reservation and that Expedia would be contacting us to relocate us. I WAS FURIOUS. I made our reservations MONTHS in advance knowing that it is nearly impossible for a family our size to get into something that can fit all of us at the last minute. The manager at WorldMark did NOTHING to accommodate us. I was told that the unit's lock was broken and Expedia was told that they were overbooked. I would have at least expected to be moved to a different unit or at the very least be given a restaurant voucher or SOMETHING to compensate us for the trouble. Absolutely nothing was offered. It was an extremely stressful afternoon as I was expecting to have to tell our five children that we were most likely going to have to drive back to Houston. However, I worked with Charlie at Expedia and he was fabulous. He was able to get us into two hotel rooms at the Courtyard Marriott and even comped us a second room AND they gave me a $250 voucher for all of the stress and trouble we encountered. Unfortunately, I now have a terrible impression of the management at WorldMark and will most likely never stay there again. What a magical place! My cousins stayed here for a week and invited us to spend some time there. It smelled of wood, and just the cutest, gorgeous cabin-eqsue rustic decor. The room was a 2-bed, 2 1/2 bath inn reminiscent of a condo or an apartment. It could easily accommodate six people. The upstairs felt like a studio apartment. It had its own closet, bathroom, and a lounge area in the bedroom. Rosemary bushes dot the property, so the complexes smelled like a kitchen. At dusk, if you were lucky, you could catch a glimpse of deer roaming around. It was vastly more entertaining than any television. It's close enough to lots of adorable local markets and dining, and the river. All in all, a great spot with a great deal. If you want the perks of a staycation without going TOO far out, I recommend this spot. read more

The staff were wonderfully pleasant and helpful, and quite efficient as well. The two floor apartment was very well appointed, comfortable, accessible, and quiet. Walking distance (10 minutes leisurely) to Gruene Hall and the rest of Gruene. Rustic location, deer at night, beautifully treed surroundings, and yet there's a positive and modern feel to the place. Location was great BUT the sales representatives are not worthy. Once they got you buy in to their wants they NEVER care for you anymore. They don't find a way to fix their errors nor even find a way to fix it. You will get a run around. They never accept their mistakes and will blame other department about their mess. DO NOT EVER THINK OF UPGRADING YOUR ACCOUNT ON THIS LOCATION. They will say call me if you ever have needs or problem but that's only a part of sales talk. read more

What a great place to stay. Booked a 2-night stay for a girl's trip for a concert. The rooms were nice, clean and had every amenity anyone would need and then some. Grounds were clean and nice looking. The Staff was extremely nice and attentive. I'll be honest I was worried about the cost of our weekend getaway however once we got to the room, it was WELL worth it all. We will definitely come back to say next time we are in town, and I will for sure recommend it to others! read more

A beautiful, almost new, three bedroom condo for an awesome low price a night during a holiday! Total score! The resort is in a great location. I literally walked up hill 3 minutes and hit the river another two minutes and was in the charming town of Gruene and in between the two Gruene Winery. I basically hit the small town ambiance jackpot! Rooms were comfy, clean, and very much Texas. The resort has a small pool for the guest if the nearby river is overcrowded. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. You do have to pay extra for Wi-Fi just to note. read more

The New Braunfels, TX Worldmark was fantastic and would have a 5 star stay except for the rude sales pitch by staff. This is a timeshare and we are already an owner, but Wyndham is constantly trying to get us to buy more. For now we are stuck and have to make the best of it until we can sell, but the hard sales pitch is enough for me to recommend you keep your distance. They are rude and relentless calling at all hours and holding you hostage by not giving you your keys until you agree to a timeshare presentation. read more

Enjoyed a really great mini vacation here. TONS of space, a full kitchen, 2.5 bath and 2 bedrooms, clean and relaxing. Only .5 miles from the center of greune. Downside- trying to talk us into taking the "presentation" which I know is a push to become a vacation resort member. Feel like they should have mentioned that prior to the stay. Luckily this was not required. That being said, great spot, friendly staff, and well worth the reasonable cost. read more

Stayed a week here on vacation with my WorldMark membership. Stayed in a 3 bedroom townhouse. Check was lengthy, but the staff were very polite. Our townhouse was immaculate. Even the top of the kitchen cabinets were dusted! Nice open floor plan and just enough decor to feel homely and not like a utilitarian hotel. I loved the barnwood looking ceramic tile in the kitchen and bathrooms. Beds were very comfortable. Couch & chairs in living room were comfortable and well taken care of. My husband and I had our 4 children under the age of 6 with us. Our neighbors said they were not able to hear us at all, even when the kids were playing on the stairs by the shared wall. We were not able to hear anyone else either. You should be aware that there are train tracks VERY close to the property and we did frequently hear Will definitely stay here again. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would! Booked this place a month and half ago, on the day of check-in my reservation was cancelled 2 hours prior! I had out of state guests! When I arrived they told me they couldn't find my reservation. I showed them the confirmation that same day and then proceeded to tell me my reservation had been "re routed" to a different hotel because they had no availability! REROUTED TO THE MICROTEL INN!!!!!!!! I NEVER RECEIVED A PHONE CALL STATING MY RESERVATION WAS CANCELLED! When I asked why they didn't call me on TUESDAY when they supposedly found out they had no availability, their response was " we attempted to contact you on THURSDAY! When I asked why they didn't leave a vm, they had no answer! I had 4 people standing behind the counter with all of their arms crossed simply telling me since I booked with a third party I needed to contact them directly.... YET WORLDMARK CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD FOR THE FULL STAY! When I asked them about a refund their response was again to contact the third party! .... Still with their arms crossed! NOT ONE APOLOGY FROM ANY OF THEM! Clearly I was very upset not so much as the cancellation but the way they handled the situation! Not one of them made an effort to make it right or pick up the phone and call NOR GIVE ME A PHONE NUMBER TO CALL! THEN SOME SNOOTY LADY CAME OUT OF WHAT LOOKED LIKE A CLOSET AND WANTED TO THROW ME ATTITUDE AND TOLD ME TO LEAVE! When I told her I wasn't leaving until I got this sorted out she STOMPED HER WAY FROM BEHIND THE DESK LIKE A TODDLER THROWING A TANTRUM commenting as she was stomping " I am not going to be talked to like that!" And opened the door waiting for me to leave! HA! Did not leave just yet but when I was able to pull up customer service to get this sorted out I ended up walking opposite of her to the other end of the building and gracefully let my self out! Maybe if I had not had a Hispanic last name, I probably would've had my reservation intact! They were the most disrespectful employees I had ever seen! I guess they get paid to say " there is nothing we can do but put you up in a cheap 2star motel!" With arms crossed and intimidating their customers with 4 deep! Ooooooh watch out now!ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE AND BELIEVE ME WHEN I SAY CORPORATE WILL HERE ABOUT THIS! This place is great and very convenient to the Rockin R where you can rent tubes and tube or canoe down the Guadalupe. The kitchen is spacious and has everything you need. It has a cozy cabin feel but there's plenty of space. The beds and pillows are super comfortable. Highly recommend! read more

LOVED our stay! This is our second time staying at the WorldMark. 2 bedroom/2.5 bath. One king, two twin beds, and a fold out sofa. Everything is clean & welcoming. Plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. We were in the front and felt very secluded which is what we wanted. Pool was nice. Staff was wonderful. Very accommodating. We love to float the Guadalupe. VERY close to the Rockin' R outfitters. It's within walking distance, but this is Texas...we're not walking in that heat! Good: New townhouses that are gorgeous and have all the amenities. Bad: The stay started off with the clerk playing 20 questions asking questions that was none of their business. They require a $100 deposit on the room that isnt just a credit card for incidentals. The "manager" interrupted me mid sentence when i expressed my displeasure with the line of questioning and sent me to the other desk for parking passes. I finally threw my hands up and walked out. The staff was rude throughout the stay and should have some additional training in customer service. It was not what I expected when paying $400/night hotel stay. Granted it's not a hotel, but I expected more with a higher end hotel chain running the operation. read more

Timeshares are something you invest in with caution. We chose Worldmark, because we have a HUGE choice of places we can stay, as opposed to buying one week at one specific resort. For us, our investment has paid off. With that said, this is one of the nicest Worldmark properties we've stayed in, thus far. The units are two-story. It's definitely Texas decor...from the pinewood ceilings, lone star door knobs to the horse statue on the coffee table. Downstairs we have a very large kitchen and a gorgeous kitchen. There's a HUGE pantry, which I've never seen at any other worldmark. Our master bedroom is big, with a walk-in closet! The bathroom is also huge. We have a half bath and a separate laundry/utility room...we're talking really spacious! Upstairs, there's a bonus family area, and a bedroom and another bathroom! This is one of the quietest places, too. Unlike a hotel configuration, we have separate units. There's lush, green lawns out front..and a doorbell. Really, this feels like a home away from home. Our son just moved to San Angelo, we invited him to join us. We are having a great time, as this area is picturesque and just 30 minutes away from San Antonio and Austin, respectfully. We are very happy Worldmark owners, for sure. (I think people can stay here through RCI as well.) Someone said the staff was rude and had to leave a $100 deposit etc. Really? Were they Worldmark owners? I have never, EVER, had rude treatment from any Worldmark resort where we have stayed. Really and truly, we always find that the staff goes out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. Yeah, their sales pitch is something you want to watch out for-- the "it'll be only 30 minutes" can take 2 hours. This time, our sales rep wasn't pushy at all. (They want to have you buy more credits, etc.) Still, we know we can't stay in a hotel room as nice as this so we have had our initial investment pay for itself in three years..and we are now five years "owners". read more

This is by far one of the nicest WorldMarks I've been too. The reason I'm giving only 3 stars instead of the 5 that it deserves is because of the night shift crew, mainly the night shift lady. We were in the hot tub, before 10, and after 10 my husband and I started to get ready to leave realizing it was past pool hours. The night shift lady came out practically yelling at us saying it was past 10. We apologized and said we're leaving now. My husband tried to small talk with her while he was drying off and putting his shirt/shoes on and she was not wanting to engage. My husband had asked her if she had ever been to the WorldMark in Angels Camp, since that is where we are from, she answered him "NOPE" and continued to say pool is closed at 10. My husband used to work for WorldMark in Angels Camp, Ca and we know that WorldMark is all about hospitality. She definitely didn't meet the hospitality standards. Just a bummer how one person could be so rude, probably the reason she is on night shift. read more
