I thought that getting our stuff "professionally" packed and unpacked was the best way to go for moving out of the state.
The packers that came to our house were very unprofessional. They were constantly cussing and talking negatively about one of their own co workers. There were items that were left behind and did not get packed.
When my husband and I arrived in our new state, the movers that were delivering our items said they were going to charge us for a warehouse "handling fee." When we paid over $5,000 for the service, we were not told that there would be additional charges.
When our items arrived, the boxes were placed throughout our house and then I had to sign something saying we had received all of our items and that there was no damage, even though nothing had been unpacked.
As my husband and I unpacked our stuff, we found plastic water bottles that were half full, broken hangers and other items that were clearly garbage.
We were very disappointed when we unpacked our pictures and saw that none of them had been wrapped and that they were stacked in a pile with other items on top. Pictures that we had paid to get custom framed, were broken.
There were liquid items that had no protection to prevent leaks, and of course leaked on our items.
We had pictures that were taped to the fridge that were stuck all together in a pile and when I tried to peel them apart, the pictures ripped where the tape was stuck.
My husband and I were told that our items would be unpacked and that the boxes would be taken away. Since this was obviously not the case, my husband and I are trying to unpack our items while dealing with large empty boxes everywhere.
I am so disappointed with this service. I would never recommend them to anyone. read more
