You're not going to get a better gym in Penrith…read more I was a member of Fitness First for about 6 years, and have used numerous other gyms since, so happy with what Fit n Fast offer. The equipment is new, well maintained, the gym is clean and the staff are very friendly. No annoying sales tactics either - the staff just get you to sign up on the website on a gym computer, which is a nice change. I am on black membership, no contract. The fees could be inclusive of everything, rather than lots of random hidden/small-print fees! Currently paying $15.95 per week + $1 fortnightly transaction fee + $10 quarterly membership fee. The owner of Anytime Fitness in Penrith was trying to convince me that Fit n Fast is terrible because they allow members as young as 16. The teenage members tend to keep to themselves and never cause any problems. Happy with the 10pm closing time. The place is normally pretty empty in the 60-90mins before closing.

Since I have not gone to the gym, I have no clue on what program I should follow - thus the personal sessions. After I signed up, I've never heard from anybody. I had to call them several times to arrange a schedule. I have paid for the sessions in advance but 2-3 months had passed, no one seems to care about it. So I decided to cancel the membership. They are charging me $99 for breaking my commitment - LOL. Well, in my perspectve, they haven't delivered what they promised. But they just don't see that.

Don't waste your time!…read more The only reason you should EVER go here is if you're already a Fitness First member elsewhere and just need access to a local gym when visiting Penrith. The weights equipment is ancient. The change rooms are not the usual Fitness First style, and desperately need to be remodelled. I have even watched the staff move equipment around so it looks like they have new stuff. This gym is also easily the most expensive in the area. Standard membership with access to all gyms is $42 per fortnight (about 50% more expensive than everyone else in the area), and the contracts are 2 years. Plus the staff are the notorious pushy types on commission. If you are currently a member and thinking of getting a Personal Trainer, pick one of the trainers that spent the year studying full time at TAFE or private college, rather than the internal 12-week express program FF sells to become a trainer. The retention of knowledge and skills developed in the 12-week intensive program leave the trainers lacking. This will impact your sessions. Seriously, just don't bother unless you plan on using other Fitness First gyms and need a gym with a large footprint throughout mainland Australia.
